Logan and Lil reunite on the smoker's porch. Much banter ensues.
Mild warning for suggestive crudeness.

There were few things in Logan's life better than a good smoke. He stepped out onto the porch, closing the door behind him, and brought out a nice cigar and his box of wooden matches. Lighting one, he patiently got the cigar smoldering merrily before pulling the smoke into his lungs. Exhaling through his nose, he leaned against the railing and looked out into the expanse of turf and out towards the treeline. He could feel the call in him, but it was a weak thing and easily resisted. Wasn't time yet for him to indulge his feral nature and run wild for a bit.

Lil'd thought now that some time had passed and she'd settled into life at the mansion, her smoking habit would go back to 'social or seriously stressed' only. She'd been wrong. Work, training, the daily stuff and she was still at two packs a week. With a sigh, the giantess stalked outside, pack and lighter in hand and stopped short when she spied a shorter but very familiar frame that she hadn't seen in years. "You never know who's gonna show up around here, do you?" she mused out loud, grinning as she brought a cigarette to her lips then lit it.

Logan laughed around his stogie. "They really will let anyone in here, won't they?" he joked. "Hey, kid." he smiled. "Long time no see. How's life treating you?" he asked.

"Not bad," Lil replied after a long exhale, smiling at her former mentor. "Up and downs. Things are starting to level out a bit which I'm grateful for. Didn't know you were back though. When'd you get here?"

"Few days ago." he said. "Had to talk to Xavier, figure out what's going on." he said with a shrug. "You gettin' along?" he asked her. "Place can get a little nuts at times."

The blonde woman nodded. "For the most part, yeah. Hasn't been bad. Training with the team, now; I'm trying to clean up my act a bit so I can make Alpha back home," Lil explained, taking another draw from her cigarette then flicking the ash towards the little can before giving him a little shrug. "Working at a bar at nights. Hasn't been bad at all."

"Harry's, right?" he asked with a grin. Gar'd mentioned it to him. "Good place. Used to be something of a regular." he said. "And X-Men training. Good. Summers is a little uptight, but he knows his shit."

"Yeah. Harry's Hideaway," she replied, blowing out more smoke in a long puff. "Work closing most nights. You should come down sometime when I'm on shift," Lil invited as she shifted her weight from side to side then nodded at him with a happy smile. "Yeah, he's alright. Haven't had any major blows up yet but I haven't been here all that long so anything's possible."

"Keep your nose clean, play the good little soldier, you'll be fine." he said absently, not thinking about what he was talking about too much. "Harry's, huh? I know the guy. Good man." he said, nodding. "When's your next bar night?" he asked. "Figure I'll stop by."

The blonde laughed and took another draw of her cigarette. "I'm trying. Don't want any nasty little notes going back to Heather 'bout how I broke some kiddie's toy. Or you know, some kiddie." Her eyes flashed with impish delight. "I'm there tonight and tomorrow then not again until Sunday. You should definitely swing by. Can't get drunk with you but I'll keep the tap flowing."

Logan flashed a quick grin. "Know how that goes." he said with something of a sigh. "Not something you want to have happen, believe me." he said. "Who they got you training with these days? Marie?" he asked, hazarding a guess.

"Haven't done any one on one stuff yet. Think Scott's still looking for volunteers. Lotta file reading and making my head go boom but the girl I'm bunking with is going through the same thing so we drown ourselves in wine after." She flicked the ash toward one of the cans and gave him another smile, one that touched her eyes and made them dance. "It's real good to see you, Logan. As much as I sound like a girl saying it, I missed you."

Logan grinned at that. "Once I get back cleared, I'll throw down with ya." he offered. "Figure you're tougher than most, it's not real likely you'll get hurt." he noted. "Ya always did like fight practice." he noted with amusement. "Up for it, kid?"

"I am if you are, Old Man," she laughed. Taking the last puff of her cigarette, she crushed the butt in her hand and tossed it away before opening the pack for a second. "Hurting senior citizens isn't something I wanna make a habit of, though."

"Damn shame. Throwin' down with pretty young things is a lot more fun than booze-filled truckers or rowdy townies." he said with a grin. His smoke wasn't anywhere near done yet, but he was feeling a lot better already.

Smirking, Lil tossed her hair over her shoulder. "Make you a deal: you give me one of those stogies, I'll let you have your way with me in the gym."

"You'd like that way too much, kid. But you're on." he said, punching her in the shoulder lightly before digging into his pack of smokes to offer her a stogie.

"And there's a problem with that? A girl's gotta have fun somehow," the giantess laughed as she tucked away her own pack and took the cigar from him with the hand that no longer wore Madison's ring. "If it means I gotta stoop to your level, so be it."

Logan grinned at that one. "What, down on your knees?" he said then left her there on the porch to ponder _that_ one. He was headed back upstairs. Something about a cold shower...
