Bishop's surveillance (courtesy Doug) for the favor he promised his old partner.

"No, I have to sit back here. Wanda's little charge still has me pulling the energy out of everything I touch." From his lounged position, Bishop didn't seem to mind the fact that Doug had to do all the work at the panels at all. Even in the small van he had managed to find some room to stay back and relaxed; he also found room for a coffee pot and a microwave, though he had been keeping radios away lately and that hadn't changed.

"Any excuse to shirk," Doug muttered good-naturedly not quite under his breath as he took in Bishop's relaxed posture. Still, he'd seen the effect the tall black man had on electronics lately, and was just as glad that he had the good sense to stay away from the more sensitive gear.

The effect had been bad enough that he hadn't even bothered to carry his pistol with him anymore; he could only get one shot from it if he was lucky. "Fortunately this is a good one. It has draw back, I can't even turn music on anymore. Mark has made me go haywire too. I'm going to keep my distance from Wanda in the future."

"Unintended powers interactions can suck, yeah," Doug admitted. He still remembered the strangeness around the mansion when Marie-Ange's power had interacted badly with Quentin Quire's. He poked at the panels and adjusted a knob minutely.

"Hopefully it doesn't get any worse or I might have to take some time off to find out a solution." Was this small talk for mutants? Bishop didn't really know Doug so well and they hadn't really had any strong contact. That was part of why he went through his Snow Valley coworkers instead of other contacts. If he was going to stay for a while he needed to show what he could do and he needed to know what they could do too.

"Well, we do have quite a few experts on mutation that we can ask if necessary," Doug said somewhat wryly. "I mean, we -are- supposed to be a mutant think tank," he continued with a chuckle.

"Best Wanda and I could tell is that she corrupted my stored energy somehow." Bishop knew there were a lot of experts around but his situation was somewhat unique. He hadn't met or heard of another mutant that absorbed energy from other mutants and studied all the kinks in those interactions. "It will have to get to a point where Wanda's energy gets too diluted to still have an effect, I imagine."

"Well, given that Wanda manipulates chaos, I can see where that might turn you into a sort of Murphotronic battery," Doug replied. "And your solution sounds as good as anything I can come up with offhand..." He trailed off and turned back to the panels. "Looks like we might have some activity," he said.

Bishop raised his head a bit to see. "There we have it, looks like a meeting. I bet they're deciding how they're going to get a foot in Mutant Town and that's perfect for us. They're going to need someone inside to pick up a leg of the trade going through there."

"Aaaaaand, smile for the cameras, losers," Doug quipped as he hit the record button. Then he waved his hands at Bishop. "You keep all your Murphotronic stuff over -there-," he instructed.
