They wake up on the couch. Banter ensues and breakfast is planned.

At some point, finding he was falling asleep where he sat, Kurt had wriggled carefully until he managed to lie down next to Monet without waking her or moving her too much. He was sleeping soundly, now, curled around her on the couch.

Monet woke up early the next morning, still on the couch, Kurt's head pillowed on her shoulder. She lay there for a while, dreamily, before carefully extracting herself to get to the toilet.

Kurt's eyes opened at the movement, for all her efforts, and he watched her go sleepily, waiting the few minutes for her to return before speaking. "Good morning."

"Guh," Monet grunted. "Wan' tea." She stumbled over to the kettle and turned it on before staring blearily at Kurt's kitchen. There were no tea bags. She grabbed for the leaf tea and took a hand full of it, pouring the boiling water over it and her hand.

"Monet!" He sat up sharply at the sight of that before remembering she almost certainly wasn't hurt. "Please do not tempt fate that way."

"But you're out of tea bags," she said, stirring it with her other hand. She stumbled back to the couch.

"I will be sure to get more, just for you." He reached out to her, not quite sure she wouldn't fall onto the couch if he didn't, and smiled. "You slept well, I think."

"Pretty okay. How about you?" It was a good thing Kurt had a comfy couch.

Comfy and wide, or someone might have ended up falling off in the night. "Very well, as it happens."

"Glad to hear it. Want to head into town for some breakfast?"

"Breakfast sounds like a very good idea." He grinned. "Driving or my own means?"

"Drive us? The smell doesn't go so well with eggs."

Kurt nodded, acknowledging that as a fair point. "It will have to be a taxi, then, unless you wish to trust my unlicensed driving. But that will give us time to change clothes and whatever else."

"Dude. How about we see if some nice kind person will drive us into town for breakfast?" Monet asked. "I think our last taxi driver was suicidal. You should have heard what he was thinking. Oh, wait. You did because I shared it with you."

He laughed aloud at that. "Yes, I remember. Poor man... but he should really have known what to expect, picking up a fare from Xavier's."

"Hey, there's a reason that we have an official $5 thanks for coming here bonus system." Monet reached for her phone. "I'll do the asking while you put some pants on."

"Then I think we have a plan. Possibly we should factor in time for a shower, also."

"Sounds good." Monet stood and headed toward the bathroom. "I call first shower!"

"It is my bathroom", he protested, laughing, and got up to follow her. "And there is room for us both."

"That's nice, honey. Maybe later. But I want a hot shower, so you can't come in there. Sorry." Monet grinned at Kurt.

He eyed her, still visibly amused, then nodded with exaggerated concession. "Very well. Maybe later."
