Julian makes his way to see Yvette, and some air is cleared.

After hearing that he was the last of the students- who was actually still around the mansion- to see their recuperating team mate, Julian decided to bite the bullet and face the music. It wasn't that he didn't want to see Yvette, far from it. Unfortunately, since the trouble he and Angel had started, Yvette made her loyalties very clear, giving Julian the cold shoulder on numerous occasions. With any luck, the flowers had arrived before her departure, but if they Keller had no intention of bringing them up- the last thing he needed was for news of how he was a show off to get back to Angel.

"Come in!" came Yvette's voice as he knocked on the door. It sounded tireder than normal, but not weak or sick. Yvette herself was propped up in bed with a number of pillows, her laptop on one of those tables with the cushion underneath to keep it stable, typing away with fingers that were long and thin, but also entirely human. So too was the rest of her - soft skin, perhaps a little too pale still, long brown hair tied back neatly into a ponytail, large brown eyes that widened a little as she saw who her visitor was. "Hello, Julian. I did not expect you?" She made it a question.

"You didn't expect me to stop in and see the injured Apple Ninja?" Julian smiled and strolled in as if they'd never been fighting. Perhaps if he didn't make it a big deal she wouldn't either. "Of course, I'm going to come see you, Yvette." He paused a few feet away from the bed and gave her human form a once over before stammering, "W-wow." 'Keep the thoughts PG Keller, she's Angel's best friend,' he had to remind himself.

Despite herself, a blush appeared - she wasn't used to that kind of reaction from anyone who wasn't one of 'her' people. Especially not the good-looking student Casanova Julian. "I was getting the flowers, while I was in the hospital," she said instead. "And Kevin was telling me that there were gifts to the whole hospital. Thank you - it was very kind of you to do such a thing."

He smiled and took a seat on the edge of her bed- despite not having her powers, she was still very tiny. "It was nothing- I was just going to fill your room with flowers, but then I thought of what you would do, in my place I mean." Julian gave her a nod, "Figured you'd want everyone there to have their day brightened a bit." Shifting slightly, the young telekinetic looked down toward the floor, not knowing what to say. Finally, he shifted his gaze to meet Yvette's eyes, "We were all really worried about you."

The blush deepened. "I did not mean to?" she replied, a little embarrassed. "It is good that I have the friends, but I do not like to be making them worry." With a rueful smile, she closed the laptop and set it aside. "And I will be much more careful the next time, now I am knowing that I can still be hurt, even with my powers. Mr. Logan is saying I need to be watching where I am stepping." Her tone conveyed the joke.

Julian chuckled and nodded in agreement, taking a moment before continuing. "I know you don't like us worrying, but I kept thinking, wow, I'd sure hate to have you...well...you know...hating me." He turned his look downward, "I know you're Angel's best friend and all, but...I miss you being my friend too." He was being genuine and letting himself be far more vulnerable than he was comfortable with.

With her powers, Yvette's expression was near unreadable, but without, her face and eyes spoke volumes. Conflict, mostly. "I am not liking it when my friends are being hurt," she said slowly, aware he was actually trying to resolve things here. "And you are hurting Angel very much. But I am not hating you, Julian, and you are not the bad person really. Just the boy who is making the stupid mistake. If you are promising not to hurt Angel again ever, no matter what happens in the future, I will not be so angry, I am thinking."

It wasn't a surprise that she was being apprehensive, Julian would be the first to admit that he deserved to be hated for how he'd treated Angel. "I..." what could he really say? That he promised to never hurt her again? He may as well promise to grow wings and fly to the moon for take-out. With a smile he continued, ignoring his falter, "We both know I can't promise that, Yvette. All I can say is that I never want to hurt her again...hel-er-heck...I didn't want to hurt her this time either." His mind went back to that night, the memory of how things had gone down were still fuzzy.

She sighed, but she knew he was right - no-one could make that promise. "It is enough, I suppose. I do not understand why, if you do not want to hurt her the first time, you are doing something that would, but boys are dumb, as Angel is saying."

"We can be, yeah." Julian sighed and shook his head, "I keep replaying the moment over and over again, unfortunately...I can't figure it out." He smiled at his regained friend, "Let's talk about something more positive, like when you're going to be getting out of this room."

"The doctors are saying that it will not be taking so long to recover. There is the singer, who is having the kidney transplant, yes? Only a month later she is making the records again." Yvette could have pursued things, but it wouldn't have solved anything. Sometimes, people just did stupid things. Like kiss another girl at the prom. Or go running off after someone to punish them and ruin a police operation. "So I will be having the bed rest for this week, and then the next week the careful moving, and then the week after that things will nearly be back to normal." She looked down at the inhibitor. "That is probably when they will let me have my powers back."

"In the meantime, you mind if I come and pester you when Angel isn't around? I'm told I have a weird selection of movies that you've probably never seen before." Ever since his conversation with Callie a thought had been nagging the back of his head. "Hey, how do you feel about the ocean?"

"You will have to be checking with Kevin - he is my, how you say? Grand Vizier." Yvette chuckled fondly. "And I like the ocean, even if my powers do not let me swim like I used to be doing." At his look, she elaborated. "My skin is making me much heavier than I am looking and I sink. Like the rock, Angel is saying."

"And I suppose you can't breathe under water, right?" It would be risky, but they'd have to do it before they took Yvette off the inhibitor. "Okay, well, I'll arrange things with Kevin then." He stood up from her bed after giving her hand a squeeze. "Get some rest, Apple Ninja, and I'll be back soon." Julian started toward the door, pausing as it opened on its own and turning toward Yvette, "I really am glad you're going to be alright."

"So am I." It was almost heartbreaking, the heartfelt emotion behind those few words. Then she smiled. "Thank you for the visit, Julian. I will be seeing you again."
