Having trouble sleeping, Adrienne visits Harry's and Lil offers two remedies, only one in drink form.
((posted early due to Mon being sleepy))

Adrienne flopped into a booth at Harry's and beckoned Lil over. She would have sat at the bar, but she didn't trust herself to be sitting on a stool right now, weak as she was feeling. Damn bug. "Can I have a double of brandy?" she asked. She didn't normally drink brandy, but it was supposed to be fortifying, wasn't it?

The blonde woman's brow rose slightly at the request but fulfilled it none-the-less, returning to Adrienne with the drink which she placed directly in front of the other woman. One hand on the table, the other on her hip, Lil leaned forward slightly, frowning a bit. "Anything else I can get you?" she asked casually, not quite ready to move into the 'what's wrong' questioning phase just yet.

"The head of whoever gave me this damn virus I picked up," she growled in response, knocking back the drink. "Preferably on a pike. It better not be that fucking swine flu. Are there any pikes around here? I bet Scott has some somewhere. Have you ever seen any pikes in the training room?"

"Pikes? No," Lil said with a shake of her head. "Think a few people around the place have swords though. Katanas and the likes.. You may be able to use one of them to slaughter whoever put you on your ass." A little roll of her eyes and she picked up the empty glass. "Lemme make you something that'll do a better job on what you got."

"Something like what?" Adrienne asked, suspicious. "And does it involve me getting up? Because I don't think I want it if it involves getting up. Actually, can I sleep here?" she asked with a smirk, stretching out across the booth and yawning. She hadn't been getting much sleep lately. "As long as Garrison-You're-Ruining-Your-Life-Unless-You-Listen-to-me-Kane doesn't come in, that is."

The blonde woman shook her head, sending the ponytail swinging. "Doesn't involve you getting up, nope. You can stay right here but I don't think Harry's gonna let you crash for the night," she told Adrienne before disappearing back behind the bar only to return with not one drink but two for Adrienne. "You got your choice. A or B. Both come Garrison-less."

"Which one's better for inducing nightmare-less sleep? And tastes less foul?"

"Taste is a matter of opinion," Lil chuckled. "Both are brandy though so you ain't gonna turn your stomach. I'd go with A - hot toddy," she said, putting the collins glass down in front of her before handing off the blackberry brandy to another waitress. "I can always swap it for warm milk if you prefer that to chase away the bad dreams."

Adrienne surveyed the glass warily. "How very interesting." She'd never had a hot toddy before. "I believe I'll pass on the milk, thanks. I need to banish bad dreams of dead husbands and I'm hoping this will pack a bigger punch than milk in doing the job I need it to."

"Honey, lemon, tea and brandy with a little cinnamon to make it go down," the taller woman ticked off the ingredients in the drink. "Supposed to knock the cold or flu right outta you. Bad dreams about dead husbands, not so much." She gave the brunette a weak smile before looking around the bar. It wasn't too busy and no one else seemed to be screaming their head off for her. "Not enough alcohol in it to get ridda skeletons or ghosts."

"Well, I need the bottle, then," Adrienne announced, frowning. "I need lots of alcohol. I need to get rid of the ghost. Well, it's not a ghost." She was so tired from the nightmares that had been keeping her up she slumped across the booth, back against the side wall and legs dangling into the aisle. "It's just nightmares. Ones that won't let me sleep, though. Are you sure there isn't enough alcohol in this for nightmares?" She took a sip of the stuff. It was actually pretty good.

Rolling her eyes, Lil continued to smirk then her arms folded across her chest. "You don't want nightmares, try one of those dream catcher things with the net and the feathers," she suggested. Her nose wrinkled slightly as the other woman sipped the drink. Ew. "Ghosts are easier. Seance or exorcism or whatever'll take care of any spooks still hanging around, getting into your head at night."

"I wonder if those things really work," the brunette inquired of the dream catchers, frowning in thought. "I should ask Dani." She wrinkled her nose at Lil's mention of seances and exorcisms. "It's not really a spook, though," she pointed out, lack of sleep and the weariness that accompanied it attributing to her being less guarded than usual. "It's just... that place. Too many bad memories there. Premonitions I saw with my powers. And the fact that's where we were staying when he died. I thought, it's been nearly ten years, it can't matter anymore if I stay there, but it does. I hate it there. It's like he's still there, all the time." It was almost like a spook, she realized with a grim smile. "But I can't go back to the mansion right now. Not until I can face Kane." It occurred to Adrienne that she wasn't even sure if Lil knew she'd moved out of the mansion, or anything about her falling out with Garrison, or Steven's death, but it was too late to take it all back now.

"So, you can't go back to the mansion but you can't sleep in the place you're in now without throwing alcohol down your throat 'causa bad memories," Lil summariazed, leaning her hip against the table as she pondered. "Means you got two options: make up with Gar - which you don't seem so inclined to do - or make some new, good memories in your place so the old ones don't get to you. Or hire a priest to bless the place," she added. "Or witch."

"A witch." Adrienne frowned in thought. "A witch to bless the place? Doesn't that bring us back to exorcisms and seances?" She sipped at her drink, barely believing that she was actually thinking seriously about having a witch come over to her place for a seance. Of course, the fact that she actually knew real life witches made it seem less strange than it might have been before she'd come to the mansion. "That might not be such a bad idea. You wanna sit for a bit?" She made no effort to move over and give up space on her side of the booth, but motioned to the other side. The pause gave her a chance to ponder the rest of what Lil had said. "Option two sounds much more enjoyable to me. Making new, good memories. Preferably with a witch... maybe two... to banish the evil memories. As for Gar,'" Adrienne frowned, "he's an asshole. I didn't even do anything wrong this time and he got pissed at me. I don't know what his fucking problem is, but I'm not making up with him because this time it is not my fault."

Lil shook her head, the golden hair dancing over her shoulder. "Can't sit; on the job," she reminded Adrienne with a nod to the bar. She was just lucky it was a quiet night and that the other patrons didn't have her running around like a chicken without it's head. "Whatever's going on between you and Beaver Boy, I ain't getting involved no more even if he is being an asshole but you wanna clean up your place's spiritual aura or feeling or whatever the fuck it's called, witch or priest should do the trick." It was what the movies did at least. "Then, maybe you can get some rest, eh? Then onto making better memories," the giantess added with a smirk.

"I don't want anyone to get involved between Kane and I," Adrienne scowled. "There's no point to it. I'm finished with him anyway." It was a waste of time to try being his friend. She couldn't even look him in the eye anymore. "I'd much rather make some better memories in my new- well, old, but new because I just moved in a while ago- apartment. Want to help me do that? I'm thinking of inviting some witches as well- Amanda and Wanda," she grinned. "That way if there really are evil spirits, we'll be prepared." Plus Morgan, of course.

"I ain't having a lesbian orgy with the three of you," Lil deadpanned, only the twinkle in her eye giving away the fact she knew that wasn't what Adrienne was suggesting. "Memories are good and all but I ain't making that type with you. You want someone there watch the three of you tackle ghosts - not each other - and I guess I can fit an exorcism into my schedule." Not that there was anything else going in her life beyond work and continuing to check in on Jean-Paul and Johnny. A night out for a little harmless goofing off would a nice change. "Just let me know when you wanna play Ghostbusters and where your place is and I'll be there."

"Four of us. Morgan's a certified ghosthunter." Certifiably insane, maybe. "You know, I hadn't even thought of a lesbian orgy before," Adrienne replied, staring distantly into space as if imagining it in her mind's eye, "but now that you've put it into my head, I don't know how I'm going to be satisfied with anything else..."

"I don't think girl-on-girl-on-girl-on-girl is gonna clear up the little problem of your dead husband's ghost giving you nightmares," the taller woman said with a pointed look.

"There is no ghost," Adrienne reiterated, finishing off the drink. "And I think an all-girl foursome may be the perfect thing to chase the nightmares away," she grinned. "Though I don't know if it would help me sleep..."
