The students depart their dream vacation, back home to Westchester.

Normally Yvette disliked planes and airports - too many people, too close quarters, too much for her to accidentally damage with her hair or skin. And far too many eyes, staring at her. But this time the airport and the plane meant going home, and while she had enjoyed parts of her vacation, she longed to be somewhere familiar.

Somewhere where there was no chance of running into Cam, at least until she sorted her feelings out. She was angry at him for deceiving her, true, but hindsight was showing her that he hadn't exactly led her on that much. Most of her assumptions had been hers alone, born of wishful thinking and no small amount of desperation as she dealt with having her powers again after that brief window of being 'normal'. Yvette was coming to the realization that perhaps in wanting something so much, she was in danger of throwing everything else away. Having a boyfriend... when had that become the most important thing in her life?

Yvette's expression was far away as she contemplated things, perched on one of the chairs in the boarding area, barely aware of her surroundings except for anyone getting too close.

Nick jammed his hands into his pockets as he waiting in line at a hot dog station next to the boarding area. He leaned to the side, trying to gauge how many people were in line ahead of him and if he'd have time to get his food before they needed to get on the flight back home. In the process he looked up at the list of items on the menu. He couldn't help but smile as he saw "Pastrami on Rye". While he still wasn't sure exactly where he stood with Catseye after the trip, his talk with Angel and interactions with people had made him ok with that for the first time in a while.

As he leaned back down, he caught a glimpse of the restrooms to the side of the small restaurant. Biting his lip, he remembered the uncomfortable wait in the TSA room on the way out to Malibu. Sighing as he realized that peanuts would have to do until he got home, the boy quickly scurried inside, looking for the toilets.

Doreen was uncharacteristically quiet, Monkey Joe resting on her shoulder. She had her carry on bag which had her laptop, some comics and a place for Monkey Joe to hide in while they flied. She wasn't putting him back with the other pets. She went and sat next to Yvette, though she didn't say anything.

Right now, she didn't feel like there was all that much to say, even with Monkey Joe trying to cheer her up by commenting on all the funny furless people that wandered back and forth. Most in a hurry to get places the squirrel couldn't understand why they’d want to go.

Johnny, too, was uncharacteristically quiet, but for a different sort of reason. With all that had unfolded throughout their vacation, there had been many things unanswered and undiscussed and he and Victor had spent most of their previous night at the farm attempting to remedy the matter. They had found few answers and even fewer that satisfied them and in the end they had succumbed to idle speculations and lighter conversations and, eventually, sleep. But not enough to keep the young man from slumping against the reptilian teen's shoulder as they sat in the waiting area, less than half awake despite the noise of the terminal.

Said reptilian teen was trying to not move, not wanting to disturb his roommate. Vic was equally as exhausted, but there was no way he was going to be able to sleep until they were safely on the plane and in the air with no chance of being detained by the TSA. Until then, he was wide awake, trying not to fidget as he half-paid attention to the television screen showing the news and weather.

Julian walked toward the group, narrowly making the departure time as first class boarding was announced. The one, final, picture from the beach house, of happier times in his back pocket, no doubt getting wrinkled beyond recognition. It had been a hell-of-a-week, but they were finally going home- which, for Julian, was no longer Malibu, California.
