Nick finds himself under Super Soaker assault by Catseye.

Whoever had given Catseye a super soaker was definitely going to regret it, as the catgirl was proving to be quite the markswoman with the weapon, and seemed to have no sense of decency about sparing anyone she came across. She was guarding her lounge chair by the pool quite fiercely from any possible threat, hollering warcries as she took down her latest victim. Giggling manically, she scanned the pool area and whooped when she spotted Nick, turning the weapon on her awkward friend with a wide grin.

Nick had finally been coaxed out of his room to enjoy the summer air during his last day of freedom. Actually, he was very excited to be going back to school, but that still didn't mean that he couldn't want to spend the last day he could out in the sun. But his wondering around in nature had unfortunately led him directly into Catseye's trap. "Oh no..." Knowing he only had a few seconds to react, Nick scanned around the pool, spotting an unmanned Super Soaker at the side of the pool. He knew that he had no chance of making it if he sprinted, but instead began inching to the side of the pool, hoping to distract Cats on the way. "Hey Cats. You look nice today." With every word, he inched closer and closer to his weapon.

Catseye preened at the compliment, glancing down at the bikini she was wearing thanks to one of Forge's collars and smoothing out her purple hair. "Does Nick really think so?" She kept one hand on the Super Soaker, but lowered it to her side. "Catseye likes the strings on the swimming clothes."

"It really does look nice on you." It wasn't just a distraction, Nick really did like her outfit. In fact maybe he liked it a little too much. He shook his head from the distraction. "Hey Cats..." he said with a grin, "has Mr. Beaubier taught you about a character named Iago?" As he talked, he wrapped his hand around the hilt of the Super Soaker at the side of the pool.

The purple-haired girl frowned. "Catseye does not know that name," she murmured, head cocked in curiosity. "What book is he from?"

"Othello." The smile on the boy's face spread from ear to ear as he pulled the water gun up out of the pool, holding it tight against his chest and pointing it at Catseye. "He was known as a master of deception."

When Nick picked up the soaker and faced the catgirl he was sprayed in the face with a jet of water. She'd noticed the soaker he'd been going for and had deduced his brilliant plan, deciding to lie in wait for him to take his eyes off her when he went for the gun in the water. Catseye let out a cackle as she ducked behind her lounge chaise when her gun had emptied. "Was Iago the master of deception a cat mutant too?" she teased.

As Nick shook his face off to be able to see again, he blew water out of his face. It took him a few seconds to find where Catseye was, and even less time to begin his flanking maneuver. "No, I don't think he was..." Nick crept up as close as he dared, knowing that Catseye's senses were better than his. "I think he was more like a wolf!" Triumphantly, the boy squeezed the trigger as the Soaker was pointed at Catseye. It was at this point that he realized that it wasn't full. A tiny jet of water fell only centimeters in front of his feet.

Catseye let out another cackle and dashed out from behind the lounger, attempting to make a run for the pool so she could refill her weapon.

"Not so fast!" Nick dropped his faulty weapon and charged forward. He was running at full speed when he got to Catseye, and couldn't stop, but it was worth it as he tackled Catseye and they both flew into the pool.

The catgirl fought through a tangle of limbs to kick her way to the surface of the pool, sputtering and laughing. She waited for Nick's head to break the water before shoving it back under and holding it there.

Nick kicked and sputtered until he finally broke free from Cateye's grasp, pushing his head up to the surface, where he bobbed up and down for a second. "Hey, if I'm getting wet, you are too." He stuck out his tongue before winking at Cats.

"No fair," Catseye whined, though she was laughing as she said it. She splashed Nick a few times and refilled her Super Soaker, then started swimming for the edge of the pool in a dog paddle. "Does Nick like snorkeling?" she inquired as she swam.

"I couldn't tell you, I've never gone." Nick swam up near the side of Catseye, but kept his head close to the water, afraid of a retaliation shot coming from the Super Soaker at any moment. "Maybe you could teach me how sometime?"

Nodding vigourously, Catseye hopped out of the pool, water fight forgotten. "Catseye would like that! Catseye got a snorkel and flippers in Malibu and brought them home. Can Catseye show Nick now?!"

"Sure", Nick sputtered out as he pulled himself out of the pool. "You need help getting all of the stuff?" He was desperately trying to wring out his shirt as it clung to his torso, noting that next time he wanted to try a sneak attack into the pool, he should at least remember to take his top off first.

"No Catseye can get it because Nick is wet and Catseye does not want her room to smell like wet dog, ick ick ick," she giggled.

Still dripping, Nick flashed a toothy smile. "Keep talking like that, and you're going right back in the pool Missy..."

Catseye sprayed him in the face with her super soaker. "Try and catch Catseye then and make her, Wet Dog Boy!"

"Now you've just gone too far." Falling down in a track runner's stance, Nick charged forward at the girl, swerving from side to side to try and avoid the spray of the Soaker in the process.
