Warren stops by to see Jay, completely unaware it's his birthday. He takes Jay out for dinner - though not before bullying him into getting changed.

So, Christmas wasn't Warren's favourite time of year. There was snow and cold weather and a ridiculous string of Christmas parties, with people trying to one-up each other and see who could throw the most extravagent party. It had taken up most of Warren's weekend, which is why it wasn't til Sunday that Warren found himself at the mansion again. He headed up to Jay's room, knocking on the door before sliding his hands into his pockets. Hopefully Jay hadn't left for work as yet.

Jay, who was still in his room, lounging around, was in the proces of actually trying to clean his room, but instead, was making more of a mess because he was micro-organizing. Whenever he got to a junk pile, he'd organize the junk and it would take longer. Most of it was music sheets and garbage, so when the door to his suite was knocked on, he was three garbage bags into the clean up. Barefoot, he nearly tripped over the bag as it caught on himbefore he threw the door open, raking his hand through his hair, looking a little flustered that he wasn't finished. "Oh hey Warren. What can Ah do you for?"

"Hey," he said with a grin, relieved to find him in. ... though a little confused that Jay was just hanging out in his room at the moment, and... cleaning? Making mess? He wasn't really sure, all his eyes saw was a Lot Of Mess. He blinked away, looking back at Jay. "Thought I'd stop by and see if you wanted to have dinner before you started work tonight. My treat."

Jay paused for a second and then a revelation came across his lopsided grin. He looped his thumbs through his belt, hung back and leaned against the door. "Worthington, are you askin' me out on a date, on mah Birthday?"

"It's your birthday?" He said with surprise. He was going to ignore the question about the date, because no, it absolutely wasn't a date. Don't be ridiculous. "Well, that settles it. We are going out." He eyed Jay. "You're probably going to want to get changed." Because the sort of thing you wore to clean your room was not the sort of thing you wore out to dinner with Warren Worthington.

"Change?" Jay made a face and turned around in the suite, leaving the door open. "Sure, Ah'll just grab a shirt," he gestured over his shoulder. Change? No he wouldn't change out of his holed jeans into something nice because the twentytwo year old didn't have dress up pants. It wasn't numero uno on his 'to buy' list and plus, why buy the pants when he never went anywhere with them?

A second later, Jay returned, pulling a tshirt over his head and fetching his hoodie. "Seriously, who told you cause Ah made Forge promise to not go blather it on the journals," which he was sure Forge would had done anyways. Or Kyle. Or Yvette. He still had trouble keeping up on them, mostly because he was too busy.

"I honestly had no idea. I just had a free evening and I'm sick of being in Manhatten." He glanced over Jay once more, a slight frown creasing his forehead. "... that's what you wear to dress up in?" Come on Jay. Surely you can do a little better than that. He stayed rooted in the doorway, not willing to let Jay past just yet.

Jay did the whole "Huh?" to the dress code in Warren's eyes and he looked down at his shirt, looking for left over bits of pizza. "It's clean," he said defensively, picking a fluff off it and then bunched it up to smell it, just to double check. "Yup, clean." But no, Warren was not moving. "Yer gonna make me change?" he asked in disbelief, gesturing with the hoodie in hand.

Warren still had that perplexed look on his face. "I'm not going to be able to take you anywhere decent if you're dressed like that." Warren wasn't sure if he could take Jay anywhere dressed like that, not unless they wanted to hit up a fast food place, and Warren did not eat fast food. Ever.

Jay's arms dropped in an exasperated sigh and he tossed his hoodie dramatically over his chair. "Ah guess you want me to put shoes on too huh?" he asked, tossing over his shoulder as he disappeared into his room. The door was left open as he rummaged and tossed clothes around, looking for something that fit Warren's standards. He paused in his rummaging, grabbing the hem of his shirt and arched his back, pulling the shirt over his head and tossing it aside. "Where are you plannin' to go huh?" he asked, fetching a nicer button down white shirt and came outside of the room, doing it up but leaving it hanging out. "All right, better?" he gestured, although he didn't put shoes on yet and hadn't changed his jeans.

"That's better," Warren said grudgingly, not having moved from the door way. He could try and pick his way through the mess that was strewn over Jay's floor - or he could stay safe where he was, since they would be leaving soon. "Shoes would help," he continued, a little bit of a smile starting to play on his lips. "And are they really the best jeans you have?"

Jay disappeared into his room again, pulling off his jeans and putting on a cleaner pair, ones without huge holes but still had holes none the less. Converses were pulled on and those weren't anything he was going to change. Just for an afterthought, he pulled a random black tie he had lying around and strung it around the collar of his shirt, although he didn't have the faintest clue how to do it anymore. It'd been a few years since he had to do one.

Sauntering out of the room, he held each the tie ends in his hands and did a sexy swagger towards Warren. "It ain't gonna get better than this," he admitted, although his eye brows rose up in a playful like-what-you-see way.

Warren might have complained again, but then the swagger was pretty distracting, and so instead he just grinned. "Oh well, I guess that will have to do." He laughed a little. "I guess I can always bribe the maître d' if you're not up to snuff."

Jay let the ends of the tie go and grabbed for some average jacket that was more american eagle-army type before walking towards Warren again. "Ya sure yer gonna let me out this time?" he asked. "Or am Ah just gonna call it quits and have a night in?"

Warren tilted his head, giving Jay a long once-over. "Come here," he said with a little smirk, taking a hold of the untied tie and starting to tie it for him. How often did he do this for Piotr? The smirk faded a little at the thought, and he smoothed down the tie, leaving it loose but at least tied. "There."

Jay sobered, quiet until Warren had finished the tie and cleared his throat. "Nice, thanks." He gestured for Warren to lead the way and followed, silently running a hand through his hair at the discomfort there had been, coming from just doing up a tie.
