warren and jay.
Dec. 29th, 2009 05:50 pmWarren drops by to see Jay with a Christmas present, only to find Jay is already enjoying one of his other gifts. It's all downhill from here, folks. Backdated a little!
The best thing about living in a suite alone was that he could watch whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted and no one was around to abruptly walk in and disrupt like a bad commercial. For Christmas, his mama (bless her heart) got him Dante's Cove. He'd heard of the show, even heard it sucked but it didn't stop him from being thankful that she was so accepting of him to make the effort to adjust to all of his changes. At least, to her, this one was part of Jay that remained a constant.
So when he popped in the TV show, he hadn't expected that five minutes into it, two guys would be screwing and he'd get the full blown frontal nudity shot that had him sitting up on the edge of the couch, laughing to tears that his mama really had no idea what she'd bought. Soft porn with really bad acting and some flakey storyline but godamn the men were pretty hot and the constant ass shots put Jay in more than a good mood. This was one of those gifts that kept on giving. Nightly with personal attention.
The gifts parents gave you. Jay got soft porn, Warren got the keys to an apartment of his own in Manhattan. Lucky him? It might seem like a huge deal, except for the fact that the apartment was still in his father's name and was furnished to his taste, not to Warren's. And redecorating was frowned on. Way to make something awesome suck, Papa Worthington.
But now he was back in the mansion, and intent on dropping past to see Jay. He'd even brought a belated Christmas gift - nothing too fancy, just a tub of that ice-cream that Jay had enjoyed so much on his birthday. It might be the wrong time of year for ice-cream, but he wasn't too fussed. He knocked on Jay's door, hoping he'd caught the other man before he'd headed out.
Oh he caught Jay, just not in the moment Jay would have preferred. Moaning and some upbeat, sexual music came from behind Jay`s door and at first, he was too caught up in the moment to actually hear the knock but on a second one, Jay pressed pause on the DVD, did up his pants and opened the door. To say he wasn't expecting Warren was an understatement.
``War, hey--" he nervously chuckled and ran a hand through his hair. "What's up?"
Warren caught the snatch of noise before the DVD was paused, and now he was feeling entirely awkward. What was the protocol involved when interrupting someone watching porn? If it had been anyone else, Warren might have just teased them about it and invited himself in to watch with them, but given where things stood with Jay, he didn't think that was a good idea.
"Apparently I've caught you at a bad time," he said with a bit of a smile, doing his very best not to let his gaze drop from Jay's face. "I have a tub of ice-cream with your name on it." He held out to Jay, changing his mind about inviting himself in to join Jay in eating it, which had been the original plan.
Jay knew that pointed look, that tilt of the chin that said 'No, I'm not going to look any lower than your neck' and he took the ice cream without thought and cleared his throat uncomfortably, discolouring at the cheeks. "Listen," he snorted a laugh that was meant to be a chuckle. "It really ain't what you think. It's Dante's Cove, like uh.. a showcase kinda special thing.. Like Oz but uh.. more... um.. stuff to it. Seriously-" he gestured behind him. "It ain't like that. See fer yourself." Of course he backed up a pace and offered for Warren to come in. "Thanks, by the way. Ah mean, this is the stuff from the restaurant right?"
Warren laughed a little at that, still not exactly convinced. "I'll take your word for it." He didn't watch much TV to begin with, he wasn't a hundred percent sure what Jay was talking about. Sex on regular TV shows, what? "And yes, it is. I thought you might like a tub of your own."
Jay closed the door behind Warren, went into the kitchenette and fetched two spoons. "Trust me, it's a little weird and Ah really don't think Mama would have bought this for Christmas if she had known. It ain't like, the usual stuff. Actually, Ah think it got canceled after season two but don't quote me on that." He gestured for Warren to sit beside him and paused to open the tub after hitting play on the TV.
Immediate two men resumed on the screen, nude and moaning through their intercourse. "Well, okay," Jay confessed. "It's a little hard core but Ah swear, Ah ain't watched this ever so, Ah don't know what to expect." He set the tub down and immediate got a spoonful, about to shove it in hsi mouth when second thoughts had him offer it to Warren. "First bite?" he teased and was sure the moaning on the screen didn't help.
For the first time in a rather long time, Warren was feeling the urge to blush. Except Warren Worthington didn't blush, so instead he just cocked an eyebrow at Jay, not paying too much attention to what was on the screen because -- well. He was starting to feel a little bit like a teenager faced with his first porno, even if this apparently wasn't like that.
"You know, if I didn't know better," Warren started, determined to get the upper hand back here. "I'd think you were trying to seduce me, Jay Guthrie." He leaned in, his mouth closing over the spoonful of ice-cream before glancing up at Jay.
Jay smoothed the spoon out of Warren's mouth and smirked, popping it in his to clean off the remains before dipping for some himself. "A Guthrie seducin'? Ah don't think so," he replied and popped the icecream in his own mouth. It was delicious, even more so now that it had time to soften. "If Ah was, Ah wouldn't be usin' Dante's Cove in the background to do that," he said, licking the icecream off the back of the spoon.
"Really now?" Warren licked his lips, catching the slight residue of chocolate left on them as he did. He leaned back onto the couch, one arm draping across the back of it as he watched Jay. "So if you were going to, how would you do it?"
Jay's tongue flicked off the last bit on his spoon before looking down at it and wondering if he wanted to cross this road now that Warren had opened it up. "Well," he started and stood up, dropping the spoon in the ice cream. First, Ah would turn this shit off, cause it's the wrong sorta mood starter." He turned off the DVD but not the TV, switching to some slow spa music station and grabbed the string to the blinds, pulling it sharply to kill prying eyes. "Ah'd block out all them curious eyes, cause there's alotta of 'em."
Warren smirked a little as he watched Jay move around the room. He hadn't been expecting Jay to actually tell him, let alone demonstrate. This was only going to end badly, but Warren wasn't really bothered by that right now. He leaned over and helped himself to a spoonful of ice-cream, reusing Jay's spoon, letting the spoon rest in his mouth as a thoughtful expression crossed his face.
"And then?"
"Then," Jay walked into the kitchenette and pulled out some matches. He returned, pulling out one and lighting it. "Set the mood." He lit one candle and continued on around the room, lighting the few candles he liked to light when writing music. It helped his muse, helped him get into it better, although he never thought he'd be using them for this. The second match was blown out and he set them aside, tossing his hair away from his eyes as he walked towards Warren.
"Cause Ah'm a flyer, " he positioned himself behind Warren as well as he could and his fingers eased Warren's shoulders, catching the jacket and easing it back, off him and helping thread his wings out, freeing them. "-- Ah know what a pain jackets are. So we'll just get rid of that." He leaned over and chucked it over a chair. "C'mon, move up," Jay nudged Warren forward and he stepped over the arm rest and sat on it, slipping his bare feet on either side of Warren and himself comfortably between Warren's wings.
"Also," he said as he leaned forward, talking into Warren's ear. "Ah know how much you get sore n' no one's round to rub ya better." His fingers smoothed down the lean backstraps, pressing into them and spreading his fingers out in spot he knew that use to make him sore after flights or where he would cramp up after not flying for sometime. "Seduced yet?" he asked playfully.
If Warren was going to be completely truthful - yes, yes he was. He was being fussed over, and if there was one thing Warren enjoyed, it was someone take care of him. He turned his head up to look at Jay, a lazy smile on his face. "You make it sound like I'm easy." Even though he was enjoying this very, very much.
"Ah dunno, are you?" he asked, working his hands in combination down one of the muscles that was directly under the wing, finding a knot and working the tension out of it. "Maybe yer just putty in mah hands cause Ah know how to touch you?"
There was a sigh from Warren as Jay worked out the knot, his head dropping as he briefly closed his eyes. It had been a long time since someone had touched him like this, and even then, Piotr didn't quite get the knots quite like this. "If you were trying to seduce me," he said quietly, "you'd be doing a very good job."
"Ah don't think Ah'm doing a very good job," he confessed. "This looks a whole lot like Ah got'cha where Ah want'cha but seriously," he shift a fraction back, mostly because Warren was falling into him and not giving him much space to work. "Ah think Ah know where yer gonna go every time you need a massage now."
Warren smirked at that, shifting forward slightly before turning his head to the side. "Oh no, you definitely have me right where you want me. And this is the sort of treatment a man would do a lot to ensure a repeat performance."
"Oh yeah?" he asked, cocking a brow mischievously. "Like what?" he pushed, although he knew he shouldn't.
Warren met Jay's gaze, a dark look in his eyes. "Oh, I imagine there would be a lot a guy could ask for in exchange." One of Warren's hands moved to brush against one of Jay's feet, before slowly starting to slide up his leg.
"Easy there pigeon," Jay's grin dropped a fraction into an easy smile and without removing his gaze from Warren's, his hands moved fingers grabbing at what he knew to be his own personal ticklish spot and had a feeling the same spot lingered on Warren. He didn't move anything but his hands, like he was a lot more in control than he looked.
Warren gasped when Jay found that spot, his hand dropping away from Jay's leg with a start. He tried to squirm away, but short of leaving the couch (which he didn't want to do), there wasn't far to go. "Now that's just cruel."
He resumed massaging Warren, his hands moving to the other shoulder, just beneath the wing and snorted. "If Ah was being cruel, you'd be laughing without a chance to breath. Nah, Ah reckon Ah'm bein' pretty fair here. Plus, Ah get to touch you without you touchin' me and that's nice n' safe since one of us don't have a whole lotta control with where his hands go."
"It's hardly my fault if I can't keep my hands off you," he said with a bit of a sulk in his voice, relaxing back into the massage. It felt good, what his hands were doing - gentler than Piotr's ever had been, and draining away tension Warren hadn't realised he'd been carrying in his muscles.
Jay's hands moved to the base of the wing where it came out of Warren and worked the muscle there. They'd had the same anatomy and Jay would have loved someone to know how to rub the base of his wings down without disrupting the flow of his feathers and he worked on how he would have liked it, hoping it was something Warren liked too. "Now yer just makin' fun of me," he said, his voice dropping slightly to disappointment. It was weird to have someone be this forward and it made him worry that this was some sort of bet that Warren had made with someone because he couldn't fathom that Warren Worthington, his old teacher, actually wanted to pursue anything with him.
"What?" Warren replied, being startled out of his relaxed haze by the comment. He'd been lulled into something of a half-doze, the workings of Jay's hands relaxing him more than he had been in awhile. "Why would I be making fun of you?" If Warren had a sense of humor at all, it certainly didn't lean towards the cruel.
"Can't keep yer hands off me? C'mon Worthington, It ain't exactly paradise to touch me," he reasoned. Although he knew it was nicer to be touched than touching, Jay very recently found himself on neither end of that, except with Warren. He was always touching Warren, although he had to admit, Warren did make grabs for him.
"So you're a little rough around the edges," Warren said with a little bit of a smile. "That doesn't take away from how attractive you are." For once, he wasn't flirting, just stating fact. Even if he had been getting fairly turned on by the massage from Jay.
The rough touch of Jay's lips brushed the back of Warren's neck. "That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me in a long time," he murmured and though things seemed to come to a halt, Jay's hands still worked.
"Nice," Warren said with a slight laugh, his head turning sideways towards Jay's. "That's not something I've been accused of in a long while."
Jay was alot closer than Warren might have expected, although he didn't waver on working on Warren's other wing. If anything, he worked harder on it, concentrating if only to avoid Warren's gaze. "Yeah, well Ah reckon maybe people don't know you well." Although if he was really honest, he could see how Warren could be a jerk now and then. The glaring fact that Jay had no money and Warren had plenty was a sure case of that.
"No, maybe they don't," he said absently, most of his focus being centered on what Jay was doing with his hands. "But then I don't have the luxury of being nice most of the time."
"So are you only nice when you want somethin'?" Jay asked, his tone growing serious.
"No," he said sharply. "I'm nice when I can be. But I would make a very poor lawyer and just as bad businessman if I was nice to people all the time."
He forgot Warren was a lawyer and it was something that was very easy to forget constantly. "Well Ah feel bad," he said. "Ah didn't get this lawyer anythin' fer christmas."
"I think you've just given my Christmas present," he said with a lazy smile. "I don't think I'll need anything else ever."
"Yeah well Ah'll remember that next time ya got yer paws all over me," Jay chuckled and his hands smoothed over Warren's back, finished with the massage and just enjoying the fact that he could run his fingers over the the curves of Warren's muscles. "Maybe every time Ah need to distract you, Ah'll just give you a rub down on your back."
Warren chuckled at that. "Now that sounds like a reason for me to paw you at any chance I get." If he was going to get a massage every time he tried it...
"Careful," he threatened, fingers going right to Warren's spots on his sides. "Ah got fingers and Ah know how to use 'em."
"Oh no, not again." Warren straightened up at that, his hands moving quickly to grab a hold of Jay's so he couldn't start to tickle him again. "That's just not fair, taking advantage of my weaknesses like that."
"Ah reckon you have a whole lotta weaknesses, huh?" he asked, tugging for his hands to be freed but Warren wouldn't let him go. That only pulled Warren closer to him, tighter in between his legs and everything in his body was alive and very aware of where Warren was.
"Just when it when it comes to you, apparently," he muttered, becoming very aware of where he was as well. He looked up at Jay for a moment, his head brushing Jay's thigh before he hurriedly looked away and dropped Jay's hands. As much as he would enjoy taking advantage of that moment, it was honestly not a good idea. Right?
Right.
"Well Ah reckon seduction's over," Jay joked and he stepped off the armrest, leaning over and fetching the icecream. "This's meltin'. Ah better get it in the freezer - hope it'll fit," he said as he buzzed off to the small kitchenette, needing a little air to cool them and probably a good cold shower afterwards. "Got any plans tonight?" he asked, looking to distract.
A cold shower would be perfect just about now. Exactly what he needed. Warren let out a long breath, trying not to let his gaze follow Jay as he moved around - and failing.
"No, nothing planned," he said lightly. "I'm laying low after Christmas and before New Year's. Some precious time off before everything starts to get busy again."
"Ah ain't going anywhere, so yer welcome to stay. Maybe ya wanna watch a movie or something - not Dante's Cove though," he said, closing the freezer and because he was behind the counter, he used that moment to adjust himself and pray to god for some sort of release. Blue balls were definitely in his future and Warren hadn't even touched him. God he was doomed.
"Sounds... relaxing." And that was the theme for the evening, wasn't it? Even if the sexual tension in the air could be cut with a knife.
And that was one thing that was not so good about not having a roommate, there was no one to relieve that sexual tension by walking in and creating distraction. At least something long enough so that Jay could escape and provide his own release. THat was probably the most glaring thing between them at the moment, that they were both sporting hard ons. As Jay stood by the DVD player, he fished through his movies, keeping his back to Warren and his eyes away from his embarrassment. "Okay, so we got a few movies.. c'mere and pick one."
There's a school of thought that would argue that perhaps it would be better for them both to take the simplest route and take this straight to Jay's bed. It would solve both their immediate problems - though promptly cause even more. Warren pushed himself off the couch, doing his best to think about anything but his proximity to the other man. His gaze ran over the DVD titles, not really registering any of them given his distraction.
"I'm not really fussed."
"You're not a lot of fun, you know?" Jay picked through the movies, trying to decide what he felt like watching. "What do you think? Something fast and furious-ish or uh, an oldie? John wayne sort?" No way he was going to suggest a romance. "Or Dante's Cove," he chuckled, gesturing to the DVD he just pulled out. "It's a bad storyline but a whole lotta sex." Not that he minded. At least someone was getting more sex than him.
"... yes, because watching something with sex in it is really a good idea right now," Warren muttered. Really, maybe it would be better if he just left. Whatever they did watch, Warren wouldn't be able to focus on it thanks to the person he's watching it with, and if he was going to keep his hands off Jay, he should probably get the hell out of hand's reach.
Jay's hand dropped in disappointment along with a sigh because he didn't really know what to do. "Look, if you don't wanna watch a movie with me, Ah ain't gonna force ya," he said.
"I'm sorry," he said with a sigh, not looking over at Jay. He was being an ass, and there was no reason for it other than frustrated hormones. Well, that and just frustration in general. He knew Jay was just as turned on as he was, and yet it was him that kept the barriers up between them. "One of the John Waynes, huh? I haven't seen them since I was a kid."
"Good, here, you put it on and Ah'll make the popcorn." Jay perked up, retreating from Warren before he could argue. "Ah ain't see one for awhile. Sam n' Ah use to watch all the time, yanno? Just like old times, good times." He was trying to be perky, happy but he could see Warren's own disappointment rolling off his shoulders in waves. "You ain't gettin' tense again, are you?"
"Here I thought I wasn't supposed to try and act like Sam," he said, attempting a teasing note and a smile. He took the DVD, and then gave Jay a Look. "It's not something that's going to be fixed by another massage."
Well. At least not the sort of massage he'd already received from Jay.
Jay tossed the popcorn in the mini microwave before he fished around for the salt. At least the room was cleaner than before, thankfully because otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to find the salt where he'd left it. "No?" he asked distractedly.
"Jay," he said with a bit of a groan, deciding to address the elephant in the room since apparently Jay wasn't. "You touching me again would just make it worse. I'm already so turned on I can't see straight."
Jay set the bowl on the counter slowly, faced with the fact that he did actually have to address this. "War, Ah'm... c'mon. Just try okay? Ah'm tryin' for a friendship first but we're like godamn magnets." And it was actually painful to stand there and not go to Warren like he wanted to. But he was trying, he reasoned. Trying not to jump in bed first.
"I know," Warren said, busying himself with putting the DVD in the player and not looking over at Jay. "Maybe that should tell you something." Warren had certainly not mastered the art of denial when it came to this sort of thing - if he was forced into it, that was a different matter. But for all the reasons that there were for not pushing things further with Jay, every time he saw the younger man, they seemed less important.
The microwave beeped and Jay pulled it out, dumping the contents into the bowl. He took the salt, grabbed two pops and rounded the corner, arranging everything on the coffee table as he took a seat, afraid to ask the obvious question. "And what should that tell me huh?" he finally asked.
"That maybe we're not cut out to be just friends." The words burst from Warren with a little more force than he'd intended, and he moved around to look at Jay with something akin to a glare. "Do you even --" Warren cut himself off, trying to work out how to say anything without sounding like a complete jerk. "I can't get you out of my head despite what a bad idea all of this is, and the worse thing is, I don't even want to."
"Do Ah even what Warren? Do Ah even think about you? Course Ah do," Jay's tone quipped back. "But you also just got outta a relationship and if ya think Ah'm blind to yer comparisons, Ah ain't. Ah know that look. Ah know how it is and Ah don't wanna be a comparison to yer ex-boyfriend. Just cause Ah have a healin' factor don't mean Ah get over things like it. Ah wanna take things slow, make sure this is what you want. Ah don't wanna be a fling War. Ah want somethin' more and it ain't fair to ask that of you so soon. So cut me some slack huh?"
Jay was right. Warren knew it, and he hated it. Jay deserved better than being a rebound fling, and while that might not be all that they could be, he certainly deserved someone who could stop thinking about their ex. "I'm sorry." He was constantly apologising to Jay. Warren wouldn't be surprised if Jay started to get sick of hearing it soon. "You drive me crazy," he said as an attempt at lightening the situation out of the serious place he'd plunged it into. "One of these days I'll get the knack of thinking straight around you," he continued with a slight smirk on his face. "Maybe I should keep my distance til I figure how out how to do that."
"Maybe you should just sit your ass down on the couch and get over it, huh?" Jay instructed as he stood up, pointing to the spot next to him. "Get some John Wayne into you and stuff some popcorn in your mouth to shut you up." All of this Jay said with a bit of endearment attached to it, stubbornly waiting for Warren to settle down so they could watch the movie.
Warren shook his head, though he did have a smile on his face. "Raincheck? I honestly need a little time to clear my head." He knew if he sat down on that couch, he would find it impossible to keep his hands off Jay right now. He did, however, cross the distance between them, catching Jay's chin in his hand. "I know, just friends." He could do it. He thought. But he wanted to leave Jay with a thought that was definitely unfriendly. He leaned in and kissed Jay - certainly not the chaste kiss from after the ball, but one full of yearning and promise. He drew away, the searing look in his eyes all for Jay. "I'll behave myself from now on, I promise."
The kiss left Jay breathless, lips parted, hands settled on Warren's waist without even thinking about it. It wasn't as fleeting as he had thought Warren would be and everything in his being wanted to keep Warren where he was. Even hsi hands tightened around Warren's waist and forced his mouth closed. "Uh.. now yer gonna behave yourself? Oh Jesus," Jay rolled his eyes and his hands tightened, flushing Warren up against him and slid his hands up Warren's body, wrapping them around his neck and took Warren in a long slow and thorough kiss that eventually pressed Warren's wings against the wall once he was finished. "Don't you know? Ah always get the last word and now you've got mah permission to behave yourself."
It took Warren a few breaths before he could speak, offering Jay a somewhat weak smile. "I suppose I asked for that, didn't I?" Now that he'd spoken, he felt a little bit more like himself, the smile on his face getting stronger. He wasn't feeling any less turned on than he had been before - in fact, Jay could probably tell just how much he enjoyed the kiss. But there was a promise in the exchange, the potential for so much more, and Warren couldn't wait to explore it. "And now I'll just have to do as I'm told, won't I?" For someone who usually chafed at being given orders, he didn't at all mind Jay 'giving' him permission.
Jay's hands slipped from Warren's neck down to his chest, although his lips remained close to Warren's, brushing them as he spoke. "Yeah," he said, inhaling deeply, balling his hands into fists, clutching Warren's shirt. It took a lot to forcibly release Warren from his hold and he slipped his hands into his back pockets, inclining his head as he stepped away from Warren. "Come back when yer ready," he said although he smiled as he looked up from behind his bangs.
"Oh, I'll probably be back before that," Warren said with a bit of a smirk, brushing the back of his fingers over Jay's cheek. "We're going to try that friends thing out, aren't we?" Never mind that Warren mostly just didn't want to start spending time away from Jay, but he wasn't about to admit to that out loud.
Jay's hand caught Warren's though his smile grew, sheepish. "Yeah, Ah reckon we're gonna give it a shot and see where it takes us. Though you can blame Amanda for that. She put the idea in mah head," he joked, but he would never say it was a bad idea. In fact, it was the best one he'd heard in awhile concerning relationships. He lifted Warren's hand and placed a kiss on his knuckles before he let it go and took another step back, or else Warren would never be let go!
"Oh, so I have Amanda to blame for this one?" Warren said with a laugh. He squeezed Jay's hand before the other man let go, pushing himself away from the wall. "I'll have to have words with that lady, I think." Not that it was a bad idea. If nothing else, it would be to thank her for the idea.
"Be gentle," Jay teased. "It's the first time Ah've listened to her, so she might have a heart attack." He followed Warren to the door, being a gentleman and opening it for him. "Night Angel," he said, leaning against the door and balanced on it, cheek pressed against the wood. "Safe flyin'."

Lucky him?
