Julian & Dori: MedLab (Backdated)
Feb. 9th, 2010 08:50 pmJulian gets a visit from his good friends Dori and Monkey Joe.
(backdated to Tuesday night due to illness)
Julian lay on his stomach, drugged to the heavens and feeling just fine...despite the large tear along his backside. The training accident, if one could call it that, had required Professor Stefton's attention, thankfully, and now he was alone in the dim light of the MedLab.
“Hey,” said a voice behind him, “How’re you doing? Do you need anything? I can sneak in junk food.”
"Nico?" he asked in his groggy state.
“No,” Doreen said, thinking that she should giggle but not quite feel like it, “Dori.”
"Oh hey, Dori," Julian slurred. "What are you doing here?"
“What are you doing here?” She asked, Monkey Joe climbing down her arm and trying to make his way over to Julian. Doreen caught him, “Are you okay?”
"Oh, I'm peachy now that I'm on enough pain killers to make a rhinoceros do the cha-cha," Julian said plainly and without the slightest hint of humor.
“Really?” Doreen asked, “Because I think that would take a lot. So I really don’t think you’re on THAT much.”
Julian sighed, "For a girl who reads comic books you're awfully literal."
“Well in the circles I travel in, that many drugs give you super powers. You already had super powers, so they couldn’t have given you that much drugs,” Doreen pointed out. She may have been teasing him.
With a slight chuckle, the young ex-scion spotted Doreen's squirrel friend, "Hey Em-Jay, how you doin' dude?"
Monkey Joe started clicking and speaking excitedly, jumping up and down and fluffing his tail. Doreen didn’t bother to translate it. “Are you going to be okay?” she asked, concerned.
"Big scar," was his only reply for a long while. "Yeah, I'll be alright. Just need," he yawned, "some rest, ya know?"
“I have chocolate. Do you want me to leave it here?”
"Sure, oh, and I have a feeling that I'll be here for a while, so do you have anything you think I might like to read?"
“I can bring by some comic books,” Doreen offered.
"That'd be," he yawned again, slowly drifting into unconciousness, "great."
