Catseye & Jean-Paul, Wednesday Afternoon
Mar. 31st, 2010 06:20 pmWhile helping Catseye with some agility training, Jean-Paul finds himself having a fairly awkward conversation.
"Sex is not the answer. Sex is the question. 'Yes' is the answer." - Unknown
Jumping from rock to rock to rock in the quarry, Catseye focused on angles and trajectories and windspeed before taking a leap to a particularly faraway stone, landing in a crouch and beaming at her successful effort. "Mister Beaubier?" she asked as she calculated for her next jump, "when a male human gets an erection does it hurt?"
Jean-Paul froze, hovering in the air, and said the only thing that came to mind. "Pardon?"
"Does it hurt?" she repeated, assuming he hadn't heard her. Unless he was doing that human thing where he had heard but he was pretending he hadn't in hopes that she would realize he was embarrassed and say something else the second time so that she could pretend she hadn't said what she'd said the first time and embarrassed him. But if he was embarrassed, Jean-Paul would just tell her, wouldn't he? He was the one who had made her understand about privacy and about being honest so people weren't uncomfortable, so surely if he was uncomfortable he would say. "When a male human gets... 'turned on'?" That was the word Nick had used.
"Sometimes?" Jean-Paul stayed where he was, hovering above her, and then continued, "If they... are aroused and do not... finish." Why was he having this conversation? He was not the type of person a girl should ask these things of. There were others, far more skilled - and better with words - than he was. Letting himself drift a bit closer to the rocks where Catseye crouched. Then a thought occurred to him and his eyes narrowed. "Why do you ask, chaton?"
Catseye eyed him suspiciously for a moment, jumping onto a rock near where he was, as she was supposed to be practicing her agility and trying to catch him like he was a bad guy she was chasing on an X-Men mission. "Okay I will tell you because Nick never said it was a secret but he did say that sex is not something I should talk to people about so if I tell you you have to make it a secret for me yes?" Without waiting for an answer, however, she kept speaking. "Nick and I love each other so we tried doing sex and he said he wanted to but then before he could climb on me he curled up on the bed like he was hurt and he had an orgasm without me! And then he said I should put my clothes back on because it was hard to look at me naked without getting turned on but there was nothing he could do about it. So I thought maybe it hurt when he was turned on and that was why there was nothing he could do about it because he did not want to do it again because it hurt?"
"Ah," Jean-Paul said, waiting for a moment as she drew closer before flying to another section of rock that was a bit farther away. "That - well." He landed on the rock, sitting on his heels as he considered that. "Non, chaton, it did not hurt him, but... it is not possible for men, even young men, to... recover from an orgasm, as you say, so quickly." She was getting too close again, and so he vaulted off the rock, did a backflip with a half-twist, and landed several yards away. It seemed fairer to do this sort of thing on the ground, after all.
"It is like... running for a very long time, oui? You do not want to run for many miles, take only a moment for a rest, and then turn around to run many miles again." Tilting his head to the side as he watched Catseye getting ready to try to pounce him from above, he said, "Do you know very much about sex from the boy's side of things, chaton?"
"Amanda gave me a book to read," Catseye answered, pouncing and missing as Jean-Paul moved easily away from her. This was a lot harder in girlform, though she supposed that was why she was practicing. "And I read many things on the internet but I think it is not the same thing as asking a real boy but I do not think boys like to talk about it when they are not my mate but even my mate will not tell me because he gets embarrassed."
"Oui, it is not something that is easy to talk about," Jean-Paul allowed, deciding to deal with the bare bones of the issue, the mechanics, rather than consider asking Morgan to have a discussion with the boy about appropriate sexual reciprocation. Which he still might do, but certainly not for the moment - it might wind up causing more trouble and Catseye had asked him to keep the information to himself. "It is embarrassing, you see, to not satisfy your mate, as you say. If he has not done this so much, had sex, then he does not know a lot about it, either. And maybe it was the embarrassment that made him seem pained."
Reflexes alone kept him from winding up flat on his back with her next attempt at tackling him - reflexes and a rather impressive front handspring. "Also, it is good to remember that no one looks attractive when they have their orgasms. This might also be part of it. I would think, chaton, that you two... you should try other things before sex itself, oui?" Other things. He hoped he didn't have to detail those.
"We did do other things because I read that it is better to do other things first because it makes doing sex feel better but then after I was licking him he had his fingers inside me and then I did not want to do other things anymore I wanted to do sex and then he had what he called his accident." She chased after Jean-Paul for a few moments with no finesse whatsoever, frustrated, before reminding herself to be smart and use her head. Instead, she started jumping to rocks in the other direction, to see if he would follow so she could catch him off guard.
"Do you really think Nick thinks he will look ugly to me when he has an orgasm?" she asked with a frown. "I did not think of this because I did not know. Maybe I should tell him I think he is not ugly not matter what he is doing? Even though I told him I would not try to do sex with him anymore and I would let him decide when to do it because I do not think he was really ready even though he told me he was and he said when he did it he would make it special and I do like special surprises!"
"It is not that he thinks he looks ugly, chaton. It is that the accident was the orgasm and so he might have looked like it hurt him when it did not. It was simply that it felt... very good. And sometimes..." Jean-Paul jumped over three stones in quick succession, then flipped directly over Catseye's head and wound up on her other side before continuing, "Sometimes there is a very thin line between the pleasure and the pain, oui?"
Then he thought about that and frowned a bit. "Also, I was thinking more that you should... do something like with his fingers, as you said, and then that would be it. So that you would both have more experience with the orgasms. But it is good, I think, that you two have spoken of it and decided to wait. Patience is a virtue, that is the saying, oui?" Not that he'd ever paid much attention to that one. Of course, he would have to work on slowing himself down now, he supposed.
"Yesyes," Catseye answered, sounding disappointed, though with herself rather than the situation, "I know. I should be more patient." She'd lunged when he'd flipped over her head but still missed him. "I like to feel good but not when it makes Nick feel embarrassed. So I will be patient. Nick is a good mate even if he does not really understand sex and I like being a couple with him so I will not find another mate." She stopped where she was and waited for him to do another flip or handstand or something, muscles tensing to be ready to strike, all senses on high alert. "And yes I think you are right about the line. When I told Nick I was hurting because I wanted to do sex with him so much he thought I meant that he was hurting me because of what he was doing but that was not what I meant at all. The hurt was veryvery good."
"It is... good that he was doing well, then," Jean-Paul said, deciding to let the topic drop there because... otherwise, things were likely going to get awkward and he preferred to avoid the awkwardness inherent in talking about female orgasms. Mostly because he had nothing he could offer in the way of advice when it came to them and he didn't really like the thought of them, anyway.
He sat down, a smirk crossing his lips as he did, one eyebrow rising.
A grin spreading across her face, Catseye tackled him as he sat, bowling him over, though her hand came around the back of his skull as she took him down so that he wouldn't hit his head on the rocks. "Got you!" she cried out triumphantly.
Moving quickly, faster than she could see, Jean-Paul flipped them both over and pinned Catseye to the ground. "Did you?"
"Awwwwww," was all Catseye could think of to reply, before she muttered "no." She licked his nose and tried to wriggle out from his grasp, wondering if she should use her claws or just try to knee him between the legs like she'd learned in self-defense class.
Jean-Paul flashed her a grin, then released her and stood up. He offered his hand to her, to help her up, and then brushed his clothing off. "It is good to practise, oui? The sex, it takes practise, also. But slowly. Everything will work out well in the end, chaton." He suspected it would, anyway, so long as Nick didn't upset her.
"I think it has to," Catseye agreed, taking the hand and brushing herself off as Jean-Paul had. "If it does not go well, all I have to do is say so to I think any person at the mansion and even lots who are at the Brownstone and they would go fix things with Nick so they do go well; I know this," she grinned, clearly joking. "But I like practicing and learning these things for myself. As long as I have someone who knows things that I can ask the way I can ask you. I have been reading cookbooks about deer!" she added as a non-sequiter.
"And have you found many things that you would like to cook with the deer?" Jean-Paul asked, brows rising as the topic of sex was put well and firmly behind them.
"Yesyes! Can we cook something if human pouncing practice is over?"
"Oui," Jean-Paul said. They could try, at least. He could observe. "Let us go, then. And we will see what we can make."
