Kevin attempts to get out and see a thing or two now that he's been released from the medlab. Laura rescues him from his hobbling but ends up with the tables turned on her unexpectedly.

Kevin swayed on his feet and had to put a hand out to steady himself. Balance wasn't the issue so much as attention span. He felt like he really should leave his suite so he'd come to the kitchen. He just wasn't sure what to do now that he was here. Kevin had gotten distracted by the colors out the glass doors for a while and now was left wondering why he was in the kitchen. Maybe the rec room was a better idea. There was a TV there. And people. Well, maybe people. He had no promises of people populating the rec room but he could try. Shuffling out of the kitchen, Kevin made his way toward the stairs through distractions of colors and movement. He was pretty sure he was imagining some of the stuff he saw out the corner of his eye because it wasn't there when he actually looked, but it was pretty even if it wasn't real.

One of those images on the corner of his eyes turned out to be a very real girl being sneaky around him. Wasting no time, Laura positioned next to Kevin in a soft motion, allowing the boy to place one arm over her shoulders, for balance purposes only, of course. "Hey handsome," Laura said as she smirked at the fact she had just gotten herself an apparently dizzy pretty boy she could actually touch. "You don't look very good darling. You want to go somewhere and lie down?"

Poor Kevin was left blinking at the suddenly appearing Laura, but that slowly transitioned into a grin. "Pretty lady." The arm that had somehow managed to end up around her shoulders tightened for a moment, albeit just barely, as if in a weak attempt at claiming. "Ah'm okay, Ah'm on Percocet." Kevin said it as if that made everything okay. Then again, on second thought... "Are you comin', too?" It was so very obvious in his voice that his was well medicated, but the question still managed to sound flirtatious. In a slightly slurred speech kind of way, anyway.

Oooooh wasn't he cute! "I see," said as her grin only grew a little wider; Percocet huh? Laura would need to ask Hank what did it actually do to people. The second part got her by surprise. So far Kevin had been...not the most flirtatious person ever, and not only because he had a very dangerous mutation -and a very dangerous boyfriend, too-, but also because...he was just like that. And believe it or not, Laura wasn't a bad person...but this was such a wonderful teasing material! "Well of course I'm coming baby; I'm going to take goooooood care of you."

Her reaction brightened Kevin's face even as he struggled to get up the stairs without causing them to both fall down. "Elevators are better ideas," he mumbled to himself. After a few stairs were cleared successfully he turned his attention back to the girl at his side. "Does that mean you'll be my teddy bear?"

She wanted to steal him and feed him Percocet every now and then! Using the arm around her as an excuse, Laura half cuddled with him, using her strength to keep both of them on their feet. "I'll be your teddy bear." Someone would surely try to kill her later, but at the moment she didn't care. So Laura led him to the rec room, which she knew was empty at the moment. Carefully guiding his steps, Laura finally manage to sit him on the couch, instantly jumping next to him like a kitty marking her territory. "How have you been Kevin?" asked in the sweetest of the tones.

"Ah have Percocet," he answered, because that clearly explained everything. "I can't feel my ribs." He poked at said ribs and he felt something but it wasn't pain. He probably shouldn't do that. Looking down, Kevin realized what he felt. Skin. Shirt. He'd forgotten a shirt. "Hey, Ah'm not as purple as much!" Obviously this was a very important point. He marveled at that for some time before shifting himself on the couch and pulling Laura closer. Kevin had every intention of being sort of literal with that teddy bear thing. "You shouldn't break your ribs. Ah'm pretty sure it's not good. But it doesn't hurt! Unless they give me the button. Ah'm not good with the button. Doc's been feeding me Percocet to make sure Ah take it though." His mind wandered off and when Kevin refocused he set his gaze back on Laura. "How're you?"

Even Laura didn't see the sudden pull coming, and she found herself with her head resting on the section between Kevin's neck and shoulder. "Hmmm, broken bones don't really stick too long with me." And she processed medication so fast the good Doctor would need to overdose her constantly to keep them working. "You shouldn't poke your ribs," she added with a smile as she snuggled him carefully. "As long as you are okay, I think Doc has the right to give you Percocet." She was going to stick around more often until Kevin got on his feet, oh yeah. "Me? Well, I still live with Cammie, which is interesting since the room doesn't smell like toxic waste anymore. Who would have thought she can smell nice after a good shower?" She didn't, that much was for sure. "And I've been well." Bored as hell, but well; she supposed that was a reason to be glad. "Still hoping to get my share of action."

"Like bullet holes and bad guys fire-breathing hippos kinda action?" Kevin was pretty sure part of that didn't make sense. There were colors moving on the tv, though, and a cute girl was cuddled up to him so sense wasn't really the top of his priority list. "You gonna put on leather and be a hero?" The thought gave Kevin a vivid mental image of Laura in head to toe leather. Now there was a happy place.

"Hmm...yeah, something along those lines?" Well, Laura was giving him the benefit of being drugged out of his mind, and she hadn't precisely had a walk in the park at India; if she had to deal with a flying dude with laser eyes and a...bouncing man, then Kevin's idea of action was totally welcomed. Laura got a little closer, nose nuzzling the base of Kevin's chin; she was going for optimal cuddling there. "Hmmm~" Now that was an idea... "All in leather? Kevin, how kinky. I have the pants, but I would need to get some leather tight top to make it happen." Never mind she had just called it kinky, the idea was certainly provocative. "Would you like it~?" Someone was going to hate her so much later...

Now there was a mental image. "Like it more if it was really, really short." Even through the pain meds Kevin could rationalize that since he no longer had a boyfriend or any sort of romantic entanglement that he could be as honest and as flirtatious as he wanted to be. He was better at flirting when he was more coherent but there was a hot girl nuzzling him so he wasn't going to complain. Kevin was also trying really hard to not draw the top he had in his mental image on her with a finger. He'd probably get smacked.

That made her giggle. "That's the only way I would wear it, of course." Laura was unaware of whatever might be going on with Kevin's love life; she was flirting because she could...and because he was a hottie and currently didn't turn her skin to ashes. How far she was willing to take it...that drawing tops on her with a finger would be the limit, probably. Despite all of what she was doing, Laura didn't like to take advantage of people; sure, this was teasing and cuddling and putting naughty mental images on Kevin, but she would never do things, not with him in that state. Why the heck was she thinking of doing things to Kevin? Her mind was starting to go places she didn't think it would.

"If I didn't know you better I'd say you are trying to pull a move on me." She shifted a little, her eyes fixed on his face. He wasn't, right?

Kevin smiled, and despite how utterly medicated he looked it was all charm. "Would Ah do that?" Yeah, he probably would do that, only it was less likely he'd intentionally do it while medicated out of his mind. If he was going to put a move on Laura Kevin would have liked to have been coherent enough to appropriately appreciate any fruits that labor wrought. Though...she was very, very close right now and that was rather distracting. He didn't even realize that he'd started watching her mouth when she spoke rather than her eyes. When he could see her well enough for either, anyhow.

Laura repressed the urge to swallow, hard. This was new. She was the one supposed to tease and make people feel weird, not the other way around. Of course, she knew that Kevin would be far more 'receptive' to her flirt, but she had expected -hoped, almost- that the boy would draw a line.

He wasn't drawing a line, but staring at her lips.

"Um." This was new. A part of her brain was telling her to get as far as she could from the boy she had come to see as a friend, and take one long, cold shower; the other part...it had more immediate plans."Wouldn't you like", started slowly. "To be on your right mind before getting any closer?" Laura failed to realize she wasn't pulling away though; at the time she was too busy trying not to gravitate towards Kevin's face.

Kevin pointed a finger whose tip landed at the end of Laura's nose. "False advertising." He wasn't out to make a move, really. He probably wouldn't have said no and he certainly wouldn't have stopped if something started, but he'd feel bad about it later. Mostly because when he wasn't medicated he'd say she'd deserve him being sober. Right now, though, he was a little distracted because she was pretty. She was pretty and she was...going away?

Frowning, Kevin sighed. "No more teddy bear?"

The poke on the nose? It killed the mood, and Laura was so grateful for that. "Damn, I fall every time..." she commented as a relaxed smirk crossed her lips. "And nooooooo, I refuse to leave my teddy bear duties!" That came with a large hug -she took care of not touching the rib zone though-, and some extra nuzzling. "I guess we can keep being cute and cuddle and care about pulling moves when you can actually flail." That would be so much her area of expertise. "Do you want me to get you something? Something to drink? A sandwich? Body massage?"

"Flail?" He tried to look as utterly offended as possible, but failed impressively at it. "Ah don't flail. That's un-un-undignifed." Wait, no, he'd said that wrong. A look of concentrate crossed Kevin's face until he finally said, "Undignified." A nod to himself confirmed he said it right and then he looked at Laura, eyes wide. "Sandwich?" Maybe he looked a fair bit hopeful as well. You couldn't blame the guy, he was sleeping more than anything else lately and food just took too much effort.

Undignifed; he totally needed to eat something. "Okay then, I'll get you something to eat. And maybe some hot chocolate too, and a blanket and we can totally nap on the couch." And it would be as innocent as if both were five years old, word. "Anything else you want? I am totally not standing again, I tell you."

"Ice," he answered after some thought. "And a towel to wrap it in. Gotta ice my ribs." He really disliked that part. The cold was, well, cold and it almost hurt but it also cut through his nice medication numbness and reminded him that his ribs ached. His life was obviously so hard.

Laura parted ways with the very comfortable embrace she had with Kevin, reminding herself there wasn't really any reason to act like she was acting. He was high, and she was...confused, that was all. He likes dudes! Cuddling and nuzzling with him should be like doing it with a girl...no, not doing it with a girl. I'm standing here like an idiot. "Okay well!" she said as she turned around. "I'll be right back, you just wait here and don't move." She also needed ice now.

Kevin nodded and gave her a small salute. "Yes ma'am. Right here. Not movin'. Does breathin' count?" He hoped breathing didn't count because he was supposed to keep doing that or Dr Grey-Summers would get mad at him. Also, he'd be dead. That probably wouldn't be too pleasant, actually. Death seemed really....dull.

"Breath!" It was more of a plead than a suggestion. "Dude, don't make me go all CPR on you, not cool. Just watch the television. It won't take me more than five minutes, alright?" When did she stop being the teasing girl and turned into the nurse? She didn't want to know, actually.

"Yes, ma'am." He even managed to look appropriately chastised. Or at least Kevin thought he managed to.
