Ororo, Remy and Emma review the materials and make some decisions.
“Revenge is a powerful motive.” Remy said, as he put down the profile that Marie-Ange had supplied with the package. The various elements of X-Force had put together a large and detailed file on La Contessa Valentina Allegre de la Fontaine, collecting all the information they’d found and cross checking it as thoroughly as possible. It was gratifying to see a dossier that equaled anything he’d ever been provided with by the Agency. It has taken time, but they were getting up to the professional level that they needed to be at, which would put them on par with any in the world.
Glancing up from another sheaf of papers, Ororo raised her eyebrows in surprise, perhaps at Remy's characteristic understatement. "Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned," she quipped. Anything that would make someone come forward with this level of information on a powerful and dangerous man must certainly have just cause - this was not a betrayal to be made lightly.
"Or she's just keeping her hand in for Hellfire Club games," commented Emma, idly flicking through the information Remy had handed her, looking for the financial details. She glanced up at the others and the looks they were giving her, and shrugged. "Berlin has always been odd, even by Hellfire Club standards. Pining for the Fourth Reich just a little too much, methinks." She found what she was looking for and filched it out of the pile.
"Either way, the question is can we can trust dis information?" Remy said, leaning his elbows on the table and resting his chin on his laced fingers. "Whether she's going for de title of 'Kink Queen' at de next Hellfire orgy or just to spit on Strucker's grave doesn't particularly worry me at dis juncture, so long as all of dis is legitimate."
"I've seen nothing thus far that invalidates it, certainly..." While Ororo had enjoyed traveling around the globe, re-establishing contacts and taking in the 'state of things', as it were, she was also fully aware of the fact that much of what the residents of the brownstone did depended on good, solid background work of the more mundane kind. Luckily, as a former teacher and headmistress she knew her way around a stack of paperwork, and she had been happy to lend an eye to looking over the financial information provided to them by de la Fontaine. "The figures match, and there is no evidence that the additional information is suspect."
Emma looked up from what was in her hands and shrugged. "There's nothing that leaps out as wrong," she said. "There's some matching names that I can confirm are real and companies that match with ones Frost Enterprises has come across in the past. I can dig further, but my first reading is that there's nothing obviously incorrect."
"Between de information dey dug up in her apartment and our own details, dis feels right. We generated de contact, we initiated it, and everything dat we've gotten back matches up wit' what we have already found." Remy sighed. "If it's a set-up, it would be almost over-complex to even been considered viable. Remy think dat we have to trust dis for now."
Ororo looked up at Remy's sigh. "Well then. It seems you have what you need, at least to begin. Does this mean you will be heading to Switzerland shortly?"
"Dat a coded way of asking for chocolates, chere?"
"More a way of asking whether you will need someone to stay and man the desks - I would imagine you will need quite a full team for this?"
"Close to. At least if de information all checks out and dese financials are accurate." Remy said, hedging his bets slightly. The financials told Remy a story, but for Frost, it would be more like a blueprint, and he needed her expertise to find ways to exploit it properly. Normally, leaving Ororo behind would be his last choice, but he would need Marie-Ange, Emma and Wanda on this, and no one was suited to manage the offices better than her. Still, it was her choice. "You sure you want to stay behind? You be just as valuable in Switzerland as you would be here."
The silver-haired woman gave a warm smile and shook her head, pushing the files a few ceremonial inches away from her. "Bring me back some nice chocolates. And make sure to stay out of trouble - or as close to it as you can manage."
"You know me. Stay away from risks." Remy fiddled with the files for a moment. "Emma, I think dat we need to follow dis up. It's de best lead we've got so far on Strucker and his financial empire. Think dat you can find a way to use dis?"

Emma's smile was predatory. "I used to break banks into little pieces to occupy a dull Sunday afternoon. Who ever would have imagined I'd do it for mutant rights and the good of mankind? I never knew being a white hat could be so refreshingly amoral." She rolled her eyes at Remy's look. "Yes, Monsieur LeBeau, I can find a way to use this."
Remy just nodded and reached for his phone. "Remy notify de team and make some calls den. Time to put de rest of Strucker in de grave wit' him."
