Sarah Vale and Callie, Monday evening (backdated)

During the pheromone/pixie dust/kick-fueled events of Yvette's birthday party, Sarah runs into Callie and gushes over her a little bit.


"A Rossini please," Callie said as she sidled up to the bar. When the bartender gave her a funny look, she sighed and explained. "It's like a Bellini, but with strawberry." That the woman seemed to understand and hurried away, leaving Callie swaying to the music while she waited for her cocktail. Of course the drink would be non-alcoholic, the wrist band that marked her as under-age still would see to that, but strawberries. Mmmm strawberries.

Sarah was having a great time at the party. She'd never danced this much in her entire life, but it was amazing. It was pretty hot underneath the lights though and all the dancing had her overheated, so she headed to the bar for something cool to drink. Dancing over towards the bar, she saw a familiar face in Callie and waved at her. "Heya! This is so much fun, isn't it?" She smiled and waited for the bartender to come back, leaning against the bar and looking over at Callie. "That's a cute outfit, by the way."

"Hey Sarah!" She wrapped the younger girl in a hug. "It's been too long! How are you? That toaster still giving you trouble?" The bartender returned and Callie thanked her with a smile before taking a long sip. The club was stiflingly hot, even though she was wearing a light dress. "Thanks. I mean my dad would kill me if he saw me in something this short, but he's not here. But I like your outfit too."

Hugging her back tightly, she yelled at the bartender for a water when she came back and then turned back to Callie. "It has been, I know. Haha, nah, I just steer clear of it and it's ok." She smiled, tucking back a lock of hair behind her ear. "Oh, thanks, it's nothing special really." She'd just worn a nice pair jeans and a light coloured top herself, but was kicking herself for not wearing something lighter like Callie, since she didn't count on it being so warm inside the club. "It's very pretty, I like it a lot. You look pretty in it." She blushed a little, taking a sip of the water as soon as the bartender brought it.

Callie smiled warmly. "Thank you, Sarah. I don't get out much, so I almost forgot I own it. Are you having fun?"

"I am, it's very fun, pretty warm though." She took another big sip of water, it didn't seem to be helping all that much. "How about you, pretty lady, are you having fun?"

"I know!" Callie glanced around the room at the crowded dancefloor. "All that dancing and jumping around. I had to take off my shoes," she glanced down at her bare feet and wiggled her toes. "Much better."

She giggled, looking down at the other girl's bare feet. "That's such a great idea, so much more comfy!" Sarah immediately did the same thing, slipping out of her shoes. "Ahh, so much better. Great idea, Callie, thanks!" She threw her arms around the other girl, hugging her tightly again. She was so awesome, what an idea! She needed to hang out with Callie more, clearly, she rocked!

Callie returned the hug with a laugh; she had forgotten what it was like to just cut loose and have fun. The drink may not have had any alcohol in it, but she felt giddy all the same. The music, the lights, the fact that they were VIPs, it was all just awesome.

It really was awesome, and Sarah was loving it. She pulled back from Callie, smiling at the other girl, then had a thought. "Hey, did you... this is maybe a crazy thought, I dunno, but did you wanna hang out sometime?" She wasn't sure how to put it but being with Callie felt awesome, and she wanted to spend more time with her. "Like, maybe dinner or something, or a movie? Or both? Or whatever, doesn't have to be that!" Sarah really didn't know what she was doing here but it felt like the right thing to do at the time.

"Sure," Callie enthused. There was something about being from Xavier's that made her feel a bond with Sarah, even if some of her classmates might think it uncool to hang with a high schooler. "You know I live here in District X, so if you can get permission from whomever you can come down and make it a weekend."

"I do, that's awesome, totally awesome. Oh, wow, a whole weekend?" That sounded so good she could've burst, all that time with Callie, holy crap. "Ohmygod, yes please!" She gave her another quick hug, that was so amazing! "I can't wait, that'll be so awesome, Callie. Being with you just... I dunno. I feel so happy." She may have been blushing again, it was so darned hot in the bar, but Sarah was wondering if there was more to it than that now. It was ok though, it felt more than ok.
