Kane's team lands in Hong Kong and meets Agent Luke Cage of SHIELD.

"Welcome to Chek Lap Kok Airport." Their charter jet had only rolled to a stop moments before, and instead of a uniformed flight crew member at the bottom of the stairs was a tall, black American in a light tropical suit. He stood with relaxed poise by the steps, a briefcase in one hand and a broad smile on his face. Around him, local airport workers milled around in a chaotic fashion, rushing from runway to runway in accordance with commands that only they could hear through the headsets. He waved them down towards a small hanger close by their landing zone, surprisingly without Customs officials or police anywhere in attendance. Kane was first down the stairs and shook his hand.

"Agent Kane, I presume. You father gave me a call - asked if I wouldn't mind helping you out. I'm Agent Luke Cage, from SHIELD's foreign service division."

"Agent Cage. Pleasure." Kane paused, shielding his eyes against the bright reflection from the concrete. "Does Fury know you have a line to my father?"

"It's the other way around, mostly. You dad feeds us intel in exchange for the odd favour. I don't know what juice he has with the General, but it seems pretty potent. This is one of our safe hangers." He raised his voice. "Just follow me, people." He called as he started off.

"Describing Garrison's father as potent makes Garrison twitchy." Marie-Ange said, smiling much too broadly for it to be anything other than teasing. "I think he worries about finding out he has half-siblings scattered all over the globe." Garrison's sister was enough of a terror, and Marie-Ange liked Victoria.

"I don't think I blame him," Angel replied, eyes flickering around so fast they were threatening to burst out of her skull. SHIELD freaked her out and intrigued her all at the same time - she'd read all the reports and secretly thought they were the coolest thing since sliced bread. It did not, however, mean she'd been prepared when she'd been tapped to be on the team and she was looking at everything with a slight sense of awe. "I mean, parents are totally not allowed to have sex. Ew."

Hank stepped forward, dressed conservatively in a sweater, slacks combination with his blue fur combed back stylishly. He was smiling as he extended his large hand to the agent, it had been a pleasure to not have to fly the jet to their destination for once and he'd enjoyed several beverages aboard the charter. "Agent Cage, I am Doctor Henry McCoy, but please, call me Hank. When can we expect a briefing on the current situation we've been asked to consult on?"

"That's your boy's deal." Cage said, pointing to Garrison. Kane waited until they were all inside the hanger before he spoke.

"I've given you guys a bit of information already, but here's what it comes down to. Last time the X-Men were in Madripoor, we discovered that Sublime Pharma had been the ones who chartered the flight into Canada that possibly matched up with the attack on Alpha Flight. Considering the team that attacked us and killed Corrigan included a formerly dead agent of WEAPON X, there's got to be some kind of connection between the people who killed my friends, the old WEAPON X project, and Sublime." He took a breath before continuing. This entire investigation had been following incredibly thin threads and evidence down, like trying to assemble a puzzle in the dark. "Recently, SHIELD resources here in Hong Kong identified Yuriko Oyama as being incountry, and placed her near a Sublime facility. It's not really a SHIELD matter, but General Fury agreed to lend us Agent Cage here to help."

"I have to stress the fact that this is not a SHIELD mission nor is it sanctioned by us. You get caught, you're on your own against the Chinese courts." Cage underlined.

Bobby Drake was still cracking his neck as he stumbled down the steps to join the rest of the team. "Great, so I'm back in Asia, and if I wind up in jail it's going to be from shady fights in back alley instead of anything fun." He shook his head slightly from side to side. "One of these days I'm going to come back here, and just cause some good old fashioned trouble instead of someone forcing me to almost melt, or find out that someone isn't really dead."

"Who's dead now?" came an only slightly interested voice as Callisto finally caught up and came to a halt with the rest of the party, having lagged behind. She was scowling - as was usual - and had her head tipped to one side and was manipulating her jaw with her hands, pulling it all the way over to one side, and then the other, as far as it would go, trying to at least ease the pressure headache if not the clanging in her ears from the flight. Her half buzzed (though it had grown back a fair bit from the biker gang incident now), half wild mop of hair was almost comically awful looking, completely flattened down at the back from the seat she'd been in and sticking out at every angle at the side.

"Aren't we all dying, just a little bit?" Jubilee replied with a dramatic sigh, having been keeping to the back of the group as they walked. She wasn't entirely surprised to hear the 'you get caught, we don't know you' speech. "So what exactly is it you can do for us, Mr Cage?"

Cage shared a look wiith Kane and the Canadian just shook his head. "I thought I had explained, but I can show you were we picked up Yuriko Oyama."

"Agent Cage is eyes only for now, Jubilee. Generally, government agencies have to steer clear of involvement in illegal operations being done based on personal relationships. We'll be the ones getting inside the facility and looking for clues of just what Sublime is involved in, and how, if at all, it all links to the attack in Canada." Kane said. "Hank, Paige, we're going to need both of you to pick through the science and tell us what might be out of place, or see if it can hint to just want Sublime is researching. If we can get a chance to take Oyama at the same time, that's our best case scenario."

"Well, lucky for you I brought my clever glasses then," Paige answered, looking away from the ceiling, where they had rolled up earlier. Pulling her hands out of the pockets of her khakis, she smiled. "Let's try not to get our asses handed to us this time, hey?"
