An ordinary day at school observing in the ER turns dangerous as Clarice's past as an X-Man catches up to her and it is up to her to prevent a potential disaster.

As usual, Lenox Hill hospital ER was abuzz, people moving about between patients, the waiting room and the rest of the hospital as needed. For Clarice, this meant a lot of nothing actually as she was there to observe and nothing else. Clad in a pair of light blue scrubs and crocs (ugly as sin, but amazingly comfortable in the hospital), she had little to do except follow one of the PAs around and if she was lucky, hold something. That she was an EMT and more qualified than many of her classmates didn't matter, she was still a first year grad student in the Physicians Assistant program at Pace University and therefore unqualified in their eyes. Plus, she was a mutant. That hadn't prevented her from being admitted to the school or the program, but many patients and even some of the hospital staff were wary of her.

Stepping back as the call went out that an ambulance was arriving, Clarice knew the routine well from the other side, unloading the gurney and pushing it through the big double doors as they opened automatically, barking status updates and orders going between the hospital staff and the EMS staff. As the gurney whizzed past her she stared at the unconscious face before her. She knew that face.

Trailing along behind she tried to place it, then stopped short when she realized that it was Brennan Mulwray. One of Magnetic North. Oh. Crap. Once an X-Man, always an X-Man too. Peeking in the exam room to make sure that he was still unconscious she turned and went to find the nearest security guard. They were always nearby in the ER for lots of reasons and right now, this was a good thing.

Spying an older man in a security uniform, Clarice came to a halt in front of him, "Brennan Mulwray was just brought in unconscious. He's wanted. He needs to be arrested, we need to call the police," she stated. That he was a mutant wasn't important right this moment since he was unconscious.

"Sure," the guard smiled at her, very grandfatherly, "Listen, we're busy right now, got a psych case about to go upstairs," he added in case she doubted.

Clarice resisted the urge to grab him by his shoulders and shake him. Firstly, he was a security guard and secondly, he outweighed her significantly. "No, he's dangerous!" She insisted, about to add that he was a mutant when the guard interrupted her, "Look, I'm glad you like to watch Cops and all that, but he's not the priority right now. Go observe or whatever it is you're supposed to do and let me do what I got to do, alright?"

Glaring, Clarice stalked away pissed, but undeterred. Going into the locker room and not caring that she wasn't where she was supposed to be, she unlocked her cellphone and called the mansion at a private, unlisted number very few people had. Someone should be on comms.
