In other words, that he would eventually figure out how much he really likes Ali. Then it just became a metaphor for couples who really should get together. *leans forward and taps Kitty on the nose* And that would be were you and Jamie come in.

x_kitten (2:06:07 AM): But it's really clever... Half the time you don't even think about them being fish, just different kinds of people.
x_polaris (2:07:04 AM): *shrugs* Okay, I can buy that. I mean, I'm hardly one to quibble about not being human.
x_kitten (2:07:57 AM): Hmph. I think we're just as human as anybody.
x_polaris (2:09:39 AM): We're just as much persons as anybody but I can toss a car with little more than some concentration and a gesture and that's not terribly human. Doesn't mean we aren't capable of leading normal lives
x_kitten (2:10:34 AM): Yeah, we're definitely people... I guess that's what Dr. Essex was saying the other day, that being human wasn't the same as being a person.
x_polaris (2:11:59 AM): Right. And there are certainly humans who aren't persons. Personhood isn't a biological thing.
