Angel finds a new roommate - and friend - in a one Lorna Dane.

Angel was in a particularly good mood as she made her way down the hall to Lorna Dane's office. She didn't know much about Lorna, past the fact that she seemed nice enough and was responsible for the never-ending supply of sweets in the kitchen, but the lack of actual knowledge didn't matter much. It was never a bad time to make a new friend, after all - and besides, Lorna had been nice enough to offer Angel the extra room in her suite. That could only mean good things.

Angel stopped in front of Lorna's open office door, knocking on the door frame. "Ms. Dane?" Then, because they might be living together and it'd be weird if they weren't on a first name basis, "Uh...Lorna?"

Lorna had finished up the menu for the next week - making sure this time around she would not forget Taco Tuesday. Looking up as she heard her name and smiled. "Lorna is just fine." The green haired woman stood up and came around her desk. "Hello Angel. How are you?" Asking more of a being friendly.

"I'm pretty good," Angel replied with a smile of her own. "How are you? Oh, and if I haven't said it already, thank you soooo much for offering me the extra room in your suite. Because I can't really remember if I said thank you yet, and I don't want you to think I don't appreciate it, because I totally do, aaaaand I swear, someday I'll learn to just say thank you and move on. Thank you. Seriously."

Chuckling, "No worries. And you are welcome. How could I say no to someone who needs a place to call their own?" Leaning across her desk and opened a jar that produced a key. "I am doing just fine myself. Menu for next week is all finished. Shall we go see the suite?" Lorna said.

"Let's do it," Angel said, bouncing a bit on her heels. It was a good thing Lorna didn't mind a bit of chatter. "Like I said, I won't take up much room - incessant babbling aside, you'll hardly know I'm there," she added with a grin as they made their way into the hall.

"Then let's go." Lorna replied and walked into the hall. "Oh I don't mind you making yourself at home. Basically all the suites are the same, two bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and a living area." Lorna said as she made her way to the stairs. "There is plenty of room."

Angel bounced onto the first step, turning to walk backwards so she could talk face to face with Lorna while they walked. "Sounds good. Sounds great." Anything had to be better than the way her last roommate experience had worked out. But she wasn't going to think about that. "Hey, this is okay, right? I mean, seeing as how I'm not technically staff or anything...silly question, I know, but I've never actually had to think before about living arrangements - roommates usually just fall into my lap."

Lorna thought about as she made it to the second floor, "I am sure it will be fine and if we have to put something on paper, I'll just say you are a part-timer helper in the kitchen." Winking and started to go up the second flight of stairs. "Who were you living with prior?"

It took everything Angel had in her not to laugh - no one that knew her would ever believe she was capable of being a part-time helper in the kitchen without eating everything in sight. She looked back to make sure she didn't trip as she started up the second flight of stairs. "Well before I left for England I was living with Catseye. I moved into a graduate suite with her, then she left, then I left..." Angel waved her hands a bit vaguely. "You know how it goes, especially around here."

"Oh you lived with Sharon. If you are my part-time helper, you will see tons of her. She is my 'unofficial' assistant." Making sure to use the air quotes. Finally third floor. "Yup, I know how it goes. Here we are. The suit is the first door on the left." She walked up to it and opened it up, "After you,"

"Fine by me. One can never see too much Catseye." Angel grinned as she turned on her heel and made her way slowly into the suite, looking around. She knew the suites were more or less the same, but there was something strangely...cool...about being in a staff suite. It was a total mind/mental thing and she knew it. And she didn't care.

The room was clean and well organized, with a flat screen on the wall with movies lined in a bookshelf next it. Coffee table with some cooking books and a comfy couch with a matching recliner. The kitchen was to the left and in the backand was just as clean had everything for cooking with top of the line cookware, instead of a table there were stools that came up to the bar. "Bathroom is here." She pointed to the first door on the right. "Your bedroom would be this one." Walking to the door near the kitchen. Opening it to reveal the bedroom with a window with already a bed and dresser inside.

Angel made her way slowly through the common area, following Lorna's finger as she pointed everything out. It was a nice suite. Very...clean. Not that Angel was a slob, per say. She just didn't usually stop to clean. Obviously that was going to have to change - or she would have to keep her door closed at all times. "Wow," she said as she stopped, turning in a slow circle. After a moment she peaked into the room Lorna had designated as her own. "How do you feel about nails in the walls? Obviously if you're against, there's the surface space, I'm just trying to figure out what I can do with my pictures." Her main decoration no matter where she lived.

"Don't care. You can hang your pictures anywhere. Been meaning to make this place a bit homely." Lorna walked over to her room and opened it, "And this mess is my room." Clothes were everywhere. "Laundry day. But if you ever want clothing or shoes just let me know." Closing it and walked back into the center of the living room. "What do you think?"

A slow grin was spreading over Angel's face. She had a few great shots of England landscape she could imagine hanging in the common area...but she'd hold off on that for now. Or at least, she'd show them to Lorna first. And after seeing Lorna's room, she felt a bit less bad about her own less-than-clean habits. "I'm in," she said instantly, turning to look at Lorna, her eyes shining. "Well, I mean, I'm in mentally, obviously I'm not in physically - yet. When can I move in?"

Laughing, "Whenever you have the time to move in." Lorna walked over and held out the key. "Here is the extra key. Don't have to worry too much about people coming in and out. But just in case one of us does end up locking the door."

"Awesome!" Angel chirped, taking the key and beaming. "I've got time now, if you don't mind?" She was already mentally packing all her belongings - including the bedding she'd probably only have to make on trip. Two tops. And that only depended on how she managed to make everything fit into her arms. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" And then, just because she was far too happy and feeling slightly impulsive, she threw her arms around Lorna's neck in a hasty hug.

Lorna made this girls day, she could tell. "Nope don't mind. I can help you if you want." She said. Laughing again she hugged Angel back. "You are most welcome. Maybe we can spend our first time watching a movie or something." Saying with a nod.

Never a bad time to make a new friend. Angel was pretty much on top of the world as she pulled away to meet Lorna's eyes. "A movie sounds great. Yes. So much yes to a movie. Aaaand...would you mind helping? I don't have that much, between the two of us it'll definitely only take one trip. But that's totally your call."

Nodding over to her collection, "I got plenty of movies." Lorna smirked. "I don't mind. Lets go get your stuff and get you settled in."
