Jean-Paul, Artie, Sam, and Angelo get into the GBC through the service entrance and disable transmitter controls.
Jean-Paul, Artie, Sam, and Angelo were keeping an eye on a camera at the service entrance of the Genoshan Broadcasting Corporation, waiting until the red light that indicated power to the unit went off, which would mean that Callisto, Maddie, and Jean had disabled the cameras. There was only one employee between them and their entrance, a cafeteria worker out for a smoke break. The light on the camera went out and the team moved forward.
Angelo slipped forward silently ahead of the others, stepping directly into the smoker's line of view. "Hi. I'm really sorry about this."
And without giving the surprised man time to respond, he punched him squarely in the face with all the weight of hard-won muscle behind it, then caught him as he fell.
Jean-Paul checked the door, glad that smokers the world over broke certain regulations when it came to propping exterior doors open. Nodding once he saw that there was no one else in the hallway, he motioned the others forward.
There was a dumpster just off to one side of the entrance and Sam nodded towards it, indicating for Angelo to lay the now incapacitated worker behind it before they went inside. There was no need in leaving his prone body out in the open for anyone else to see and be further alerted to their presence after all. He then nudged Artie to move inside after Jean-Paul, waiting for the other members of his team to get safely inside before Sam himself entered.
"Transmitter controls should be that way, I believe." He pointed down towards one end of the hallway.
Artie nodded and pointed in agreement. That matched up with the plans of the facility they'd seen. He stepped back into place behind Jean Paul as they moved on, keeping an eye out for security cameras he'd have to sheild them from.
Once they entered the control room they immediately got to work. Angelo ran to one side of the room and took up one terminal while Sam likewise went over to a terminal on the other side of the room, interfacing with the controls to both disable remote power control and to lock down the doors and accessways in the building. No one would be getting in or out of the place unless they allowed it now, which was exactly what they'd planned.
"Alright, I think we've got her locked down good an' tight." Sam gave the monitor one last check before nodding to himself that they'd accomplished their task.
Now they had to get to the top of the tower to meet up with the others. Sam opened the door to the stairwell they'd need to take to do so and immediately found himself face-to-face with an equally surprised employee. Using a recent trick he'd been working on, he charged at the man, flicking his power on and off quickly to boost his momentum. He tackled the man against the wall, knocking him out cold from the impact.
Jean-Paul followed quickly on Sam's heels, having watched the door while the Southerner and Angelo locked down the building. Now, he made sure no one unexpected came at Sam's back while he dealt with the employee. Once that was taken care of, he gestured toward a window. "I can take Artie, if you will take Angelo?"
Angelo nodded quickly and hastened to Sam's side, ready to climb on his back as that seemed the easiest way for him to be carried.
Artie nodded, picking up a chair and smashing the glass, breaking the smaller shards around the edges off as well. The ride up to the roof was fast and utterly terrifying. He dropped to a crouch, eyes taking in the play of light, shadow and texture on the roof, turning to take in the view on all four sides as he gasped for breath. If he needed to, he could probably replicate parts of it now.
"And now we wait," Jean-Paul said, pacing unhappily because he hated waiting. He would much rather have simply continued on - but this was what teams did. And this was why the Quebecois was no longer on a team.
Sam just nodded, standing with the rest of his team and looking around for the arrival of the others. "Shouldn't be too long, I reckon. Hopefully they've had as good a run as we did." They'd made it to the rendez-vous point with little to no trouble, and it was about time all of their luck had changed for the better.
