Kurt and Jubilee, Wednesday evening
Jun. 27th, 2012 09:28 pmHaving got Kurt's answer, Jubilee comes to see him and they take the next step to a commitment.
Kurt had been expecting Jubilee's visit this time, and when the knock came at the door he was quick to open it, looking at her with a mixture of hope and nervousness. "Come in, do you want something to drink?"
"Soda is always welcome," Jubilee replied, walking past him into the main shared space in his suite. "Or water if you're like, totally out of soda."
"I think I have something..." He disappeared into the kitchenette for a moment, returning with a cold can and a glass of water for himself. "So, you have my answer."
"I do," Jubilee replied in a mild tone, popping the can of soda and taking a long drink. "I admit I wasn't expecting it."
Kurt sat down on the couch, hands on his knees, looking up at her as he drained his glass. "Or were not allowing yourself to?"
"Something like that," Jubilee admitted, seeming to pause for a moment as she took another sip of her drink as if trying to work him out. She smiled slowly after a moment and walked over to place it on the counter. "I think I'm pretty good now with knowing you're gonna stick around."
"Good." He smiled back, turning to watch her, then stood again and moved to slip his arms around her. "Because I am not so easily scared away, and I am going nowhere unless you tell me to."
Jubilee wrapped her arms around him in turn, leaning forward to rest her forehead against his shoulder for a moment before raising her head and catching his lips with her own. She'd always preferred action to words and this time was no different.
He kissed her back with feeling, one hand coming to rest in the small of her back, the other in her hair as he pulled her closer to his body.
Jubilee could feel the beat of her heart pattering against her chest as she kissed Kurt, her hand reaching up to grasp his shoulders as she pushed him back, walking them till they hit a solid surface and she could get more leverage to grind herself against him. This was what she'd wanted for weeks, and she was tired of playing it safe.
The solid surface turned out to be a wall and Kurt leaned back against it, his tail curling unconsciously around Jubilee's legs. He broke away for a moment, though, lips staying a shadow's width from hers as he looked into her eyes. "Are you sure?"
"I'd have stayed away if I wasn't," she said with a confident grin, catching his lips again for another kiss before tickling her fingers along the edge of one pointed ear. "Now take me to bed, Fuzzy."
"As the lady demands", he said with a grin in return, lifting her off her feet and starting to carry her towards the bedroom door, lips sealing over hers once again.

Jubilee stretched, and then turned onto her side, a rather cocky smile quirking the edges of her lips upwards. She slipped a leg upwards to rest against Kurt's body, flicking her fingers idly over his abs.
"So, that was worth the wait," she said.
Kurt turned his head to look at her, amused, as his fingers stroked absently down her side. "I would have to agree. I am rather glad we did wait, in this case."
"I wanted to do something right this time," Jubilee noted, stifling a jaw-cracking yawn with a wry grin. She hadn't gotten a good night's sleep in a long time now, and probably wouldn't for many nights to come. "I'm really glad you stuck around, you know."
"I wanted to do it right as well." He lifted his hand to caress her cheek, not missing the yawn. "And that would hardly happen if we fell at the first hurdle, even such a significant one."
"What would your priest friend say if he could see you consorting with a woman of ill repute?" Jubilee murmured, curling closer as she closed her eyes. She'd get up and leave any minute now, but it wouldn't hurt to have just a tiny nap. "I'd have expected such a good Catholic boy to run a mile from my wickedness, Mr. Sefton."
"My priest friend", Kurt said softly, drawing her into his arms as she nestled against him, "knows that women of ill repute can be just as good people, even many times better, than the holier than thou, and so do I. I do not like those who use their religion only as an excuse to judge."
"You're a good man," Jubilee said, opening her eyes for a moment as he drew her closer before closing them again. "I'll try not to hurt you."
"I know you will." He brushed his lips over her temple. "Sleep now, Jubilee, and perhaps you will not dream."
"S'good to dream," Jubilee murmured, at the edge of sleep now and heading down fast. "S'just not good to remember."
"I know", Kurt murmured back. "Good dreams, then, mein Feuerwerk, and restful."
