Lorna and Megan show Molly, Nico and Amanda the Black Knights, Krovus's lair.

"Tis this way." Lorna said as she lead the group to where the Evil Knight roamed. "He is yonder." Pointing as they came to what looked like a kid's playground but with a medieval style flare.

[Placeholder Marlena]

Amanda was caught between rolling her eyes at the two effected mansionites, or giggling. It was like being in a bad Shakespearian performance. Too bad she couldn't record any of this for prosperity. And the idea of a kid's playground being the lair of the Black Knight...

"'Tis time to beard the villain in his den.. then," she said, barely able to repress a snort. "Ho, varlet! We call you out!"

Nico had sunk to new and unexplored levels of 'Oh So No Impressed'.

"Do you think that if I smack him with the Staff of One he'll get back to normal? I'm willing to try, really." Then again, if Korvus was still Korvus, hurting him might not be entirely simple. Then again, she thought, I can do magic. It was nice to have things on perspective. "I could always try it first with our friend here." Not to mention her skill with Ye Olde English was ridiculously limited to that one time she couldn't help but watch that show with the ponies.

Craning her neck, Molly tried to get a glimpse, to see if the Black Knight was coming. She made a face.

"But what if it doesn't work?" Then they'd have to go to the doctor, right?

"Then we'll think of something else, short-stuff," Amanda reassured her quietly. "There's plenty of tricks in the bag yet."

"Hush. He cometh." Lorna said and pointed once more in the direction of the Black Knight.

While out of sight of Elizabeth, Korvus found himself aggressively stalking a single path back and forth. He didn't understand why, or even have the presence of mind to question it. It simply felt natural; what he was meant to do. When the group came into sight, a different reflex was engaged, he had seen his prey and smoothly broke course to advance toward them. In the fantasy, he existed only to stalk the lesser known areas and confront the good folk.

"Okay then, what do we do?", asked Nico as she lifted the Staff of One. "Do I put a whammy on him or do we talk, and then put a whammy on him?"

Amanda sighed. "This is the kid's world, we have to play by her rules, for now. Otherwise, who knows what she might wind up doing in a temper tantrum. Molly, you sure you're up for this whole "champion" thing? Nico and I are here and we'll magic something if there's any trouble."

Molly saw Korvus coming their way. It was weird to see him all...bad guy. She finally nodded a little.

"If people can get back to normal this way..."

It was kinda spooky to see them not being themselves and knowing they weren't themselves and not just pretending.

"Good luck my lady. The princess choose you for a reason." Lorna smiled at Molly and did a little curtsy before moving away again.

Glancing up to Lorna, Molly smiled back, then looked back to Korvus's "lair." She took a step forward.

The Black Knight waited.

Molly and Krovus faceoff good vs bad in the end Elizabeth Rose keeps her word.

It felt like a cowboy movie crossed with a medieval movie as Molly walked the 'street' filled with people selling stuff. The people were all scattered about, hiding, whispering, pointing, the path down to the bounce house at the end pretty much cleared. The kids toys surrounded the bounce house and looked lonely without people playing with them. The sword Molly had in her belt buckle dragged the ground so she adjusted it a little as she imagined the whistle cowboy song in her head.

All she had to do was win against Korvus...she could do that. Cause she had to cause otherwise everybody'd be stuck in the medieval land. It was fun for a little while but not forever.

She caught sight of the Black Knight (aka Korvus) and glanced him over.

"Uh...Hi Sir Knight," she gave a wave. "So...we fight now?"

In a long, smooth pull Korvus unsheathed Nandaki, holding it casually at his side in his right hand. "I do believe that is the paradigm for this encounter."

Molly tilted her head, then blinked. "What does that mean?" she said. It sounded like pair of dimes. Maybe it was a phrase she hadn't heard before like..'a penny for your thoughts' except they were dimes? Did dimes mean more? So it was like...deeper thoughts?

But Korvus took out his sword so Molly did too just in case. Since it was pretty heavy she had to use her strength a little to make up for the weight of it and her eyes started to glow purple, using both hands before she shifted a little to hold it like Kurt did when he was avasting pirate zombies in one hand like he taught her.

"I will send your accessories to your family, Princess." Korvus reassured her before leaping into the air at an impressive height. At the last moment he flipped to whip the sword around, increasing the momentum of the vertical slash.

Molly looked at him funny. "Wait. So that's what that--Whoa!" she said, ducking down to avoid the giant sword. The air made a whooshing, whistling sound.

Scrambling to stand up real fast, Molly jabbed her sword at him like a spear, backing up toward the bounce house.

"That was a cool move! Er, hey!"

Right, bad guy. Korvus was still a bad guy at the moment.

Korvus leaned nimbly at the thrust, rocking his body behind the giant blade to use it as a shield. He shifted his grip on the shaft and flicked it forward as if it were weightless, sending a spray of rocks and dirt at Molly as the blade dislodged from the ground. "That weapon is a worthless toothpick in comparison to Nandaki. It would be safer for you to discard it entirely. Though, in all honestly, you will still be in mortal peril."

Molly let out a squeak of surprise quickly covering her hands with her face to keep stuff from getting in her eyes. Considering what he said for a moment, she nodded. "You're right! Thanks!" she said with a grin, tossing down her sword and putting up her dukes. She liked using her fists anyway. Swords were for Knights and Molly was a Princess. Of Powerful.

"But...not about the mortal peril part. Cause. I'm awesome."

She charged at the Black Knight.

The Black Knight shifted, the flat of his blade between himself and the small Princess. While Korvus wasn't exactly himself, he wasn't entirely controlled but only forced to play his part. The vital trait of a villain in the hero's story was the ability to lose. He knew, somewhere inside him, that Molly was more than strong enough to take advantage of the opportunity a stationary target presented.

Molly eyed the sword, then remembered a move from the baseball she saw on the 4th of July. Shoving the sword upward to keep from running into it as she charged at Korvus, she did a baseball slide underneath him. Gravel flew everywhere. Standing on her tip toes, she reached up to tap him on the shoulder.

"Psst."

Korvus turned abruptly, actually caught quite off guard that she would slid under the blade of such a large sword. "How daring..." He tried to wheel around quickly but the blade was far too massive for the maneuver, even with hot light it was in his hands.

When he turned around Molly's eyes glowed purple again as she clenched her fists together. She smiled.

"I know," she said, then swung a punch at his stomach.

The punch connected against the large belt buckle that covered Korvus' relatively vulnerable stomach and the angle took him off his feet. His sword was left in the ground as he flew through the air and back into, of all things, the castle itself. Fortunately for him, it was a bouncy castle. Unfortunately for the castle, the young man's armor had spikes.

Watching the whole thing from a distance and hiding behind a building when she saw the Black Knight going into the bounce house she giggled as it was funny. She ran over to Molly, "You did it!" Throwing her hands up into the air in glee and giggled again.

After glancing over to make sure Korvus wasn't like dead (that would be very bad cause she didn't think she hit him THAT hard), Molly blinked down at the littler girl and she put her hands on her hips all heroic like and smiled.

"The uh...evil dude has been defeated...and stuff. Can you make people normal now? I'm really hungry and I wanna go home." It was kinda fun to fight and stuff but she didn't think the adults probably liked thinking they were from the old days.

Nodding at Molly, "Come." Elizabeth Rose started skipping back towards the kings court.
