Scott is heading toward class, visor on, gloves on, something sort-of-armored on. Paige catches his eye with her new 'do and outfit. He stops and takes another look, smiling at her. "You look like you've been Blaired."

Paige gives him a tired look, trying to smile. "Pray you never meet the same fate."

Scott grins broadly. "I thank God every day that I escape her clutches. But seriously, you look good. Enough to make men do a double-take, if that helps. You do look a bit worn out." He steps closer, looking at her eyes. "Tired. In pain? Too much walking on..." He looks down at her feet, taking in the beach sandals, "...those?"

"You don't need her saving abilities, Scott. You look just fine." The blush that started at his comment increases as she realizes what she just said, and she hastily continues. "I'm very tired. I really didn't expect shopping to be so... strenuous."

He laughs off her compliment, then replies to what else she said. "Just be glad it wasn't Ali and Lorna. You'd have come back looking gorgeous, but feeling twice as rung out. You should soak your feet."

"My prayers have been finally paying off, then." She smiles and shifts her weight from one foot to the other, the standing getting to her. "I would, but the girls dorms lack bathtubs, and I really don't think my roomies would appreciate my attempting to soak in the sink."

"Well, I'm off to my class now. If you promise to be done by 7:30, I'll let you use the tub in my room. I don't want to have you have muscle spasms from your muscles tightening up. We should look at your training schedule, too. Perhaps a bit more gym time?"

Paige beams, resisting throwing herself at him in a hug, if barely. "You're the best. And I'd love that, I've just... been too shy to ask. Everyone's so busy."

"If you like running, you're more than welcome to come with me in the morning. I start out at 6:00. One of those morning types that aren't too common around here, I know."

"I'm a morning person myself anyway, and I love running. Give you a run for your money even, pun intended, I bet." She grins, before noticing the time and biting her lip. "Well, if I keep you here any longer, you're going to be late for your class and probably cause mass heart attacks. I'll see you later, okay? And thanks so much."

"You're welcome." Scott replies, watching her once more then heading off to his class.

In the summer of 2003, one young mutant wandered into a local mall, never to be seen again.

Two weeks later, his wardrobe was found.

And a spiffy wardrobe it was, too.
