Angel and Lorna finally get to go see The Lion King on Broadway. Backdated to Saturday night.

It almost seemed too good to be true, Angel reflected as she bounced up and down - mimicking most of the people standing in line around them, though unlike them, she wasn't bouncing because they were standing outside the theater waiting for the doors to open and it was freezing. Her bounce was a bounce of pure excitement.

"We're doing it, we're doing it!" She squealed happily, grinning at Lorna. "We're actually doing it!"

"I know. I feel like my phone is going to go off and Scott is going to demand I come back to the mansion because something exploded or something." Lorna said with a smirk, "I turned it off."

"I'm waiting for something to blow up here," Angel said, shooting a quick look around. "I feel like that's just our luck. Fate's way of saying, 'Haha, you thought you could see Lion King on Broadway and look at close you got but NOPE.' Seems like the kind of thing that would happen, ya know?"

"Where is some wood when you need it? But I wound't put it in front of Fates Face. She may actually do something." Lorna looked ahead and saw them about to open the doors, "If we can just get through those doors and the next three hours we should be pretty good right?"

Angel looked over her shoulder as the doors opened. "Right. And anyways we made it this far, we can totally do this. I'm sure once we're inside we'll be fine, everything's straight shot from there." She bit her tongue to keep from saying what could go wrong? Those words were usually a death sentence. "Anyways, enough negativity. We're going to see the Lion King!"

"We are going to see Lion King tonight!" Lorna said louder and placed a arm through Angel'. "And we are going to enjoy it and remember this night for all times."

Angel laughed, bending her arm so it hooked with Lorna's. "Yes! Even when we're old and wrinkled, we'll be talking about this night." Her grin widened as the line slowly but surely started moving. "We're going in, we're going in!" She squealed like a kid getting ready to go see Santa Claus.

Lorna laughed as they started to walk forward, "We are almost there!" Angel's excitement was contagious and Lorna found herself wanting to jump up and down.

Angel did jump, squealing just a bit as she and Lorna moved. "Hey, we can have snacks in the theater, right?" She asked suddenly, concerned. Three hours was a long time to go without food.

"Yes. I believe we can get some snacks and maybe we can get some wine. I know there is like a 15 minute intermission inbetween the two acts. Also if you are really hungry we can go and get some food at a nearby cafe."

"Lion King and wine. If that's not class I don't know what is," Angel said with a giggle as they flashed their tickets at the doorman-person. "And I'm always hungry. To the concession stand?"

"To the concession stand. We still have a good while before the show actually starts." Lorna led the way to the stand, "Not a large line, lucky us."

"Luck is on our side tonight," Angel said happily, looking around the line to see what they had for candy. "Oooooh, Junior Mints. And those crunchy things. And gummy bears. And - okay, you're going to have to decide on the candy otherwise I'm buying all of it."

Lorna laughed at Angel, she was like a girl in a candy store. "You may chose one and I like the Junior Mints, makes my breath feel all minty afterwards. Remember we can go to dinner after this."

"Yes Mom," Angel teased even as she inspected the candy. One choice. She was going to have to make it count. "I think Imma go with gummy bears. Cruncha Bunches are too loud, with my luck I'll take a bite right as the entire theater goes silent. Can you imagine that?"

"What? Don't want you to spoil your dinner. God, I have been hanging around teens too long. And I think the theater will have to worry about us singing to the songs."

Angel giggled, sticking her tongue out at Lorna. "The theater will be blessed by the sound of our lovely singing voices, that's not something anyone has to worry about." Because of course, she fully intended to sing to every song.

"Then don't worry about getting something crunchy. I'll singly loudly during those parts."

"That right there, that's a sign of true friendship," Angel said wisely, giving Lorna a sage nod. They'd arrived at the register by this time; she started digging through her pockets for money as she said, "Okay, one box of Cruncha Bunch, one of Junior Mints, um....ya know what, large Coke." She looked back at Lorna. "Anything else?"

"And a glass of Merlot." Lorna added to Angel's list of food. "I can get it Angel."

"No way! This is your birthday present, remember?" Angel waved Lorna off as the cashier got their order together. "My treat."

Lorna opened her mouth to argue but knew better than to get into it with someone who control fire. "Fine, I got dinner."

Likewise, Angel knew better than to argue with the person who controlled the flow of food in the mansion. "Fair enough," she agreed, handing the money over. "Mmmm! Wanna find our seats?"

"Sure." Looking down at their tickets. "Luckily we have have isle seats." Lorna picked up her glass of wine and took a sip before turning around and navigated through the crowd of people. "Glad we got in line when we did."

Angel looked around, blinking. "Whoa. Yeah. Don't envy being at the back of that line. Wow. Ha. Oh well. Hakuna matata."

Lorna smirked before showing her ticket to the woman standing at the doors that lead into the theater - whom pointed in the direction of where the girls should go. "Did I ever tell you you are one of my favorites. And I am not saying that because you are my suitemate."

"Well I am fairly amazing," Angel said with a wink and a grin. She bounced all the way to their seats. "Ooooooh, this is gonna be so cool!"

Lorna took a seat and looked around, "Yup. I think you are more excited than the kids over there."

"And that's the way it should be!" Angel said proudly. "I grew up with Lion King, I've had twenty - almost twenty-one - years to look forward to this! They've had what, three, four? That's nothing."

Lorna had to stop to think about this, "My brain wasn't ready for that." The green haired woman lifted her glass of wine to her lips, "Not ready at all. On the bright side, the wait is over."

Angel's head whipped around as the houselights dimmed, leaving only the stage lit. "Let the show begin," she said happily, wiggling down so she was settled comfortably in her seat. This was going to be great.
