[Log] Sue & Tandy
Dec. 29th, 2012 12:10 pmSue is packing Tandy's things for the ski trip, they talk about boys and Tandy ends up declaring war on her friend. A war with pillows.
Tandy sat on her desk chair and watched Sue busy around her room, "I don't want to go." The last several weeks have been a roller coaster ride. Filled with both the good, the bad and the ugly. "Can't we just stay here?"
Sue pulled open a drawer and unceremoniously started dumping Tandy's clothes on the bed, "No, no, no take no, oooh cute" she muttered as each item of clothing was judged and placed in it's respective pile. She looked up at her friend in exasperation, "I wasn't aware that I offered you a choice," she told Tandy softening the statement with a smile. "You need out of here, now do I have to drag you out or are you gonna come peacefully?"
"You aren't offering me a choice? What kind of friend are you?" Tandy whined a bit, yes she felt like an overgrown child at that moment but she didn't care. She was still having her nightmares, they were getting worse. "I like to see you try."
"The kind of friend who isn't going to let you sulk in your room all holiday long" Sue replied with finality as she dropped down onto the edge of Tandy's bed. "Staying trapped in here isn't going to do you any good," she continued on a gentler tone of voice. "You need to get out of the mansion and away from the memories and reminders."
"And you think snowboarding is going to help? Did I ever tell you I am horrible at that? Can never stand up, I will most likely fall off a cliff and like be buried under layers of snow."
"Well you don't have to snowboard, you could just ski, or sit in the hot tub, or curl up in front of the log fire with your DS," Sue replied playfully tossing the nearest item of clothing she could find at Tandy's head.
"Hey." Tandy reached up and took the shirt off her head and looked down at it. "Sit in the hot tub you say? Might as well bring my bathing suit. Is Matt going?"
"Umm, maybe, I think so; I hope so," Sue replied quietly blushing slightly before looking up slyly at Tandy. "What about Clint, do you think he'll come?"
"He'll probably come, if he likes to jump off trees than snow should be a walk in the park." Tandy titled her head to the side at Sue's next question, "I am not sure. Maybe? Why?"
"He took you to the movies alone, or well as alone as you two could be, and you took him to the freaking observatory for his birthday." Sue pointed out, "Oh, and there was the whole, you kissed him and told him you liked him at Billy’s party. That's more than just friends there, so?" she enquired waving her hand in a go-on motion at Tandy. “So what’s up with your guys anyway? Have you guys been on a real date yet or just making out in the mansion? And watching movies in the rec room together doesn’t count.”
"Sue I really think I am rubbing off on you.” Tandy smirked at her friend. “A little of both. I met his dads it was pretty cool. And I haven't taken him to the observatory yet. The weather has been totally crazy and cloudy. Gonna wait until the night is clear and then go.”
"Sounds like you had fun." Sue replied before sighing and throwing another shirt at Tandy's head. "You're no fun," the shorter blonde complained. "You could at least pretend to act all embarrassed or something."
Reaching up to pull the shirt off her head. "I like Clint, I kissed him and yea.”
"Ahah," Sue grinned triumphantly, “He musta been really worried about you when he bribed Dr Voght to let him into the infirmary.".Sue thought that was really sweet.
"That was my idea to bribe Dr. Voght. Apparently she doesn't like a lot of people, I think she is cool."
"She is so not cool!" Sue replied remembering her own stay in the medlab. "It might have been your idea, but he ran with it didn't he?" she replied with a smile.
"Well, yea. He did." Tandy said and shrugged, "So you came down to the medlab."
"I'm your best friend, I'm supposed to rush down when you're in there" Sue replied, her face falling,"and I didn't even make it past the door." she finished quietly.
Tandy reached over and touched Sue's arm, "Hey. I am not asking you to face your fears for me. God, knows I have the same problem right now. Besides, it is the thought that counts right?"
"Aren't friends supposed to be the people who you're willing to face your fears for?" Sue countered sadly.
Tandy thought about it, would she be willing to go against D'Spayre again? "No. I am not going to hold it against you Sue. Believe me."
Sue scrubbed the back of her hand over her eyes and turned to face Tandy, "So which pair of boots do you want to take?" she asked in a blatant attempt to change the subject.
"I like the black...wait if I choose that means I committed to go...I see your tricks!"
"Too late!" Sue replied with a small smile, The black it is!"
"FINE! You win!" Tandy picked up her pillow and threw it at Sue.
Sue grinned as she plucked the pillow out of the air and leapt up onto the bed brandished it like a trophy, "I always do, you should remember that." she informed Tandy with a smirk sticking her tongue out at her friend and promptly dropping the pillow down on Tandy's head.
"Hey..." The blonde remarked before grabbing her other pillow before standing up. "This mean war!"
