Logan and Lorna run into each other in the Danger Room and the outcome surprises them both.

Lorna walked into the Danger Room as she finished tying up her green hair, only to find someone else using it. "Logan." She had heard that the man had returned but hadn't seen him until just now. "I didn't know you were here, I'll just come back later."

Logan glanced over the top of the console where he was scrollin' through the various programs that'd been added since he'd last been in the mansion. He bit back a grimace at the sight of Lorna. Their rocky history wasn't somethin' he wanted to rehash so soon. "Nah, it's fine." He gestured at the console. "Got a favorite in here?"

Okay, maybe this won't be so bad. The green hair woman walked over, "No preference. Scott added a couple during the last year." Crossing her arms in front of her and looked over at Logan, "Settling in?"

He shrugged as he scrolled through the listings. "Best as I can. Odd being back here again." It was taking longer to adjust to things than he'd expected. Too many people and new faces. Logan selected a program that would give them a decent workout but wouldn't be too taxing. "Think this'll be good then."

"It takes awhile." Keeping an eye on him, he wasn't like how he was last time. She looked over his shoulder and nodded, "Haven't tried that one yet. You want me to run a danger room session with you?"

"I can leave if you're wantin' a private session." He hadn't run into anyone the other times he'd retreated to the Danger Room to get rid of the uncomfortable itch under his skin but he'd also been making it a point to try and avoid people. Logan was surprised at the lack of biting animosity aimed in his direction. It was a new thing for them.

Lorna touched her brow, "No its fine. Just the last time we spoke it wasn't the most pleasant and I am slightly off guard that so far it has gone...well pleasant."

Logan's mouth twisted slightly and he shifted to look at her directly. "Yeah, we definitely ain't interactin' like we would've in the past." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I had my problems stemmin' from things I hadn't fully taken care of. Not an excuse but hopin' that this time around I could start movin' past my rocky histories with people."

"Well that is a good piece of advice. I had my own issues...I had to deal with...still dealing with. Especially when we are suppose to be teammates, I guess have to trust you."

Logan smiled slightly. "I'll take that." It was a better response than he'd ever expected to receive from her and he wasn't gonna look at it too closely. He had a feelin' it probably stemmed from Genosha though. "Yeah...that teammate thing, was never a good one but think I can do a better job this time."

"Well lets test out the teammate theory in the danger room then." Lorna said, feeling confident now that she wasn't on edge with Logan there.

"Alright then." He hit enter and stepped away from the console toward the open area of the Danger Room. He still wasn't completely comfortable what with her ability to manipulate metal and the threat of that bein' used against him had always been a concern before. The workout should put this new truce of theirs to the test, unknown environment and all.

Lorna followed the man into the room unsure how the outcome of this little exercise would turn out. She reached into her pocket and pulled out tiny metals balls and covered her fist and part of her forearm. "I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone with close quarters." And with that she took into the air as the simulation started.

"If we don't end up hatin' each other by the end of this, we could see about workin' on the close quarters." Probably be good for the both of them to get comfortable with each other and her to get used to working with metal so close on someone else. Logan unsheathed his claws and breathed deep as the confines of a parking garage melted into place around them. Looked like not that many were around from the lack of car but he could make out a brightly lit office building next door. This should be interestin'.

The green haired woman looked around at the parking garage that appeared in front of them. One of the cars had its doors open and there looked to be a struggle of some kind, a woman's purse and one shoe laid off to the side and another shoe was found further down towards the corner. "Search and rescue." Lorna said out loud, she recognized the signs.

He'd smelled the panic and fear and had spotted the car just like Lorna had. It seemed too simple for one of Summers' scenarios. There had to be more to it they weren't seein' yet. "How you wanna handle this?" Logan said as he started moving toward the car. He could easily charge in and put an end to the whole situation but no time like now to start workin' on the whole teamwork thing.

Lorna flew up to the car but was alert all around, "Push through anyway we can. But be alert, there is bound to be some kind of surprise here and there when we least expect it." She moved away from the car and towards the corner keeping high, the enemy would expect an attack from above.

"Wasn't expectin' anything less. Summers' scenarios are never anything simple." He ducked his head as he came up beside the car to glance inside. Empty but whoever they grabbed put up a hell of a fight. He sniffed the air and couldn't detect anything too out of the ordinary. He followed after Lorna, using all his senses to scan the area.

Waiting until Logan was in position before she pressed up against the wall and sent off some of the metal around her fist creating a reflection. "Two. Maybe three. In my view." Pulling a piece of the metal apart and formed a tiny ball and set it flying, a distraction to get the terrorist to look the other way and for them to do a sneak attack.

He pressed against the wall opposite Lorna and sniffed. He smelled three scents from just around the corner and a variety of others further away. "Yeah, this is gonna get interestin' fast." Logan kept low and moved around the corner, claws sheathed, because knowin' Summers it'd be best to keep as low a kill count as they possibly could. He crept up behind the closest one while he was shouting into his radio and knocked him out cold with a quick chop to the back of the neck, catchin' his body and lowerin' him to the ground.

Lorna was already working on the other two, she stayed high before dropping down behind them before colliding their heads together - knocking them out. She slumped the men against the wall before going up against the car to where the next group was located. So far they were able to keep it quiet as Lorna watched as the group stood around.

He shouldn't be grumblin' about a score count but he couldn't help it. Bein' in these scenarios and with the computer recordin' every little detail, he couldn't help but get his pride involved. He needed to focus on the objective: infiltrate into the heart of the situation with the minimal of fuss and casualties. Logan's nose told him there were dealin' with another group, four this time, and they were relaxed. They hadn't heard anything, good. He pressed low to the ground and peered under the car to see where they were. One was leaned up against the wall, back to them, while the others were grouped around him, half hidden by one of the columns of the garage. Logan shifted to a crouch then started movin' toward the group. He managed to maneuver behind the one against the wall and punched him hard in the back of the head to knock him out while swingin' at the other next closest one too.

Lorna watched as Logan took out two of them and looked back at the other two who were starting to notice something was up. They lifted their weapons up as ready, however their own weapons turned against them as they flew up out of their hands and smacked the one of the men across the face. Lorna flew over to the other one who was fighting against his gun and with her metal gloved punched him in the jaw.

Looking up when she heard running of men coming towards them. "We got company."

"There goes not gettin' noticed." Logan'd love to use his claws and mow through the men runnin' at them but well, he's tryin' this new thing out called restraint. He rolled his eyes and charged into the fray to prevent them from usin' their guns. He started throwin' punches left and right while he ducked and wove to avoid their attacks, attemptin' to take as many down at once as possible.

Lorna did what she did best, the guns in the terrorists hands turned into pretzels. She ripped off the hood of the car and moved it over so it was behind the men, warping it a bit to block any escape. She lifted two of them by their belt buckles into the air and threw them into two others as she flew over closer to Logan, "Lets push forward." Lifting the warped car roof to the next area.

He nodded in response to Lorna then finished off the last guy before runnin' toward the opening. Once through to the other side, Logan only saw the glass doors leadin' into the building connected to the parking garage. Looked like they were headed inside. "You got any idea what these numbskulls are doin' here? Can't tell much from their clothin' and they ain't sayin' much to help us out either." He moved closer to the doors cautiously and carefully pulled them open. He didn't smell anyone lying in wait for them yet, but it was only a matter of time for that to change. Unless the idiots they'd just taken out hadn't alerted anyone else about them.

Lorna bit her lower lip as she looked back from where they came from. "The license plate on the back of the vehicle was a government issue one. So they probably have someone that is either in the government or is related to someone and going to use them as blackmail." Rubbing her temples slightly as she was thinking about what had transpired in the last 10 minutes. Her eyes started to faintly glow green as she looked over at the door, "Okay from their magnetic signatures there are a total of a dozen inside. The hostage is kept in the far left corner of the last room." Lorna's placed a hand on the wall and took a deep breath in trying to stabilize herself.

"Bit premature of 'em to hit the buildin' then." Unless whatever they were after was already inside the buildin'. Otherwise, Summers had designed a really bad snatch and grab scenario which he didn't believe for a second. There had to be more layers to whatever they were dealin' with. He nodded at the info Lorna passed. "I can play bait and get their attention. You wanna get the host--" Logan trailed off as he looked over at her. "You okay?"

"Yea I am fine. Just not as..." She looked over at him before looking back towards the door. "I had power trouble awhile back and I am still trying to get back to where I once was. But I'll be fine, but how well can you see in the dark?"

Logan wondered if that power trouble stemmed back to Genosha. That place had really done a number on people and he doubted he was done seein' all the shit that had come outta that place. If she wanted to keep goin', he wasn't goin' to argue. He arched an eyebrow. "Pretty good. Not as well as others in the mansion, but better than a human. You gonna kill the lights before we charge in?"

"Yup. Electricity is a magnetic girls best friend." Lorna looked around and then back at Logan. "When the lights go off, that will be your signal. I'll be right behind you to get the hostage." She lifted into the air and moved back towards where they started, she had seen a box. The remaining metal on her formed around her fist before she took a deep breath and then slammed her metal fist into the box. The lights flickered before going out completely.

Logan waved his hand to acknowledge her words. He moved cautiously through the glass doors toward the metal ones beyond them until he had was poised to yank them both open. Once the lights went down, he yanked the doors open and barreled through with a shout. He just remembered to keep his claws sheathed as he was instantly peppered with bullets. It still fuckin' hurt even if they were in the Danger Room. He grunted with pain and roared again as he charged toward the mob of dark figures to start takin' 'em down and end things.

The electricity went through the woman and she felt recharged. She flew back to the door and entered the doors, making her way towards the hostage. The door was being guarded by two men, whom were not paying attention to above them in the dark. Lorna dropped down behind them and sent out a magnetic pulse causing the guns to wrap around their hands - which kept them busy as she entered the room.

The first couple punches had taken a man down with each one and then he was too close up for 'em to keep usin' the guns without takin' out one of their own. They'd regrouped and now flashlights were cuttin' into the darkness and fuckin' with his night vision. The bodies dropped on the ground did nothin' for his maneuverability either. There were still a good four or five left and he lurched over one of the bodies as he swing for another. It sent him plowin' into the one he was aimin' for with enough force to knock out the one behind him too. Jumpin' back to his feet, Logan sucker punched the next one then finished him off with an elbow to the back of the skull. It left him two more to deal with. Hopefully he was buyin' Lorna enough time to get to the hostage.

Lorna flew over to the hostage and unleashed her bonds and took point, "Hold on to me." She sent out another magnetic pulse towards the door and set up a magnetic shield to block anything that would be thrown at them, mainly bullets. She exited the room the two men were in front of her, but they hadn't seen her yet. All they had to do was get the hostage out of the building and the run would be over with. She sent out another magnetic pulse and hit them square in the back, sending them forward.

The two in front of him careened toward him and Logan shrugged, raised his fists, and knocked both of 'em out cold. None of 'em left. He glanced beyond them to see Lorna with the hostage headed toward the door. He nodded at her and let them pass him before he headed for the door himself. They'd cleared the room but that didn't mean more couldn't appear from somewhere. He grew tenser the closer they got to the door but they slipped through with no hassle. The sim started to dissolve around them. The scenario clearly at an end. It was an odd conclusion but an interestin' workout regardless. "We don't make too bad of a team looks like," Logan said as he looked at Lorna.

"I guess not." Lorna turned around to face Logan with a smirk on her face. "Surprised you didn't use your claws. I am impressed."

"Tryin' out this thing called 'restraint'. Didn't mean I wasn't tempted though." Logan rubbed at his midsection. "Forgot how much it still hurts in one of these even if you know you won't really end up dead." He rolled his shoulders. "Good workout though. Maybe I'll catch you around for another one."

"Well it looks good on you." Lorna smiled as she started to walk towards the exit, rubbing her left shoulder. "Sure, surprisingly I will look forward to it. If you need me, I'll be in the kitchen. Wow, that didn't sound sexist at all." Rubbing her head as she laughed.
