Backdated to Friday afternoon
"Hey Billy!" The blonde saw the boy down the hall and she walked quickly up to him. Tandy had seen the listing earlier that day and was pleased to see that she wasn't the only one that got starring roles, Billy and Maddie had made onto the cast as well. Though at the same time with everything that had been going on lately, she wasn't too confident that she had what it takes. "I saw the cast list. Good job on nailing it."
Billy looked back and slowed down when he saw Tandy. "Thanks, you too! M'glad Maddie dragged me into it. Well, I was until I saw the rehearsal schedule. We're going to be buuu--sy! Glad I'm not doing it alone, though."
"Thanks and yea that is the downside of getting parts. No life after school and have to keep up on homework. But it will be fun, it would be nice to see you guys in the theater more." Tandy smiled up at him, "Maybe we can get together and help with each others lines and songs. Do you have any singing parts? I can't remember."
"That'd be great," Billy nodded. "I haven't gotten all the way through the script, but I don't think I have a ton of lines. Just one song with Maddie, then the group stuff. Thankfully, not much dancing," he added, biting his lip. "That might be the hardest part."
"That must be fun, being Maddie's characters love interest." Tandy teased a bit with another smirk on her face. "Dancing? The hardest?"
"Well, for me. Maybe not for you guys," Billy shrugged. "Maddie's pretty good. At like all of it. I just hope none of the kids at Salem mind the a Xavier's kid having the lead. I don't think anyone else even came close, though," he said, remembering the group auditions part.
"Well if you have to learn we will be there to help teach you." Tandy patted him on the back and then shrugged at his next comment. "Well most of the people that made it in are in my drama class, they are pretty cool. Are you heading back to your suite?"
"I was, but don't have to," Billy shrugged. "Not much going on this afternoon now. And thanks. We'll see how rehearsal goes and what all they want me to do, but I might take you up on it."
"I am feeling a bit up for some pool, reason why I was asking. Lazy afternoons, gotta love them cause there is no homework."
"Pool sounds fun," Billy agreed. "I'm in. But don't say the 'no homework' too loud. Probably better to not even think it. I mean, some of our teachers are telepaths and might think we need more work."
"True. I wouldn't want to be the one that started the extra...'you-know-what' over the weekend." Tandy smirked at Billy before she went on to tease him, "Just don't make it rain homework - okay?"
Billy shuddered at the thought. "The day I do that, I'm officially turning in my wizard's license."
"Don't worry. I'll make sure that doesn't happen...somehow. Don't know what I can do to stop that from happening. Probably not mentioning it again."
"Well, now you have to distract me. Those are the rules," Billy declared. "So, let's go play some pool."
