Following a prior conversation on Sarah's journal, Clarice meets the brunette for lunch and they catch up, talking about their jobs amongst other things.

Thankfully for Clarice, Sarah did not have any bells to actually attach to herself - at least not at the office - so she couldn't affix a few here and there just to tease her friend. Accordingly, it didn't take her too long to get ready, just a handful of seconds to grab her coat and to let someone know that she was taking her lunch break.

Once that was done, she returned to her chair and sat in it, spinning around a little while waiting for Clarice to arrive. She also fired off a quick text message to Layla using her powers, letting her know she'd be grabbing lunch with Clarice, since sometimes she'd check in with her girlfriend when she was on break but not today.

It did not take Clarice long to arrive at Sarah's work. Thanks to her powers, it took almost no time at all. She was so spoiled when it came to getting places. She was still dressed in scrubs since she was doing her internship at the hospital. Underneath the blue material though she had on both tights and a long sleeved green t-shirt. Staying warm was important.

"Hey, you ready?" she asked, shrugging her coat on since she hadn't done it before she'd teleported. Tugging the hair band out of hair hair, she attempted to make it look decent, but it was just flat and straight so whatever.

"Hey there!" Sarah stopped spinning and popped up out of her chair, walking over to the teleporter. "Uh-huh, I'm good to go." She patted her coat pocket reflexively to make sure she had her cell phone and her wallet with her before coming to a stop next to Clarice. "So, where are we going?"

"What's around here?" Clarice asked, unsure. "Or we can go anywhere. You said you wanted junk though...fancy burger place? Or a cafe?"

Sarah thought for a second before snapping her fingers. "Ooh, there's this little diner not too far from here that'd be perfect, actually. They've got a good mix of healthy food and good ol' greasy stuff too." That way Clarice wouldn't be bound to endure the same selection Sarah was craving if she didn't want to do so. "That could be an option, maybe?"

"Sounds perfect!" Clarice agreed. She liked her share of junk food, but maybe it was getting older or something because she was craving something more healthy right now. Not a salad per se, but...not something intentionally greasy. "Think we can walk?" Teleporting blind was never a good idea. "Or did you drive? I never pay attention to those things..."

"We can walk, totally." She'd taken the bus to work that day, not having her own vehicle yet despite having a driver's license. Maybe if she'd been extra good this year Santa would come through for her, but she wasn't holding her breath. "It's just a couple blocks away from here, it's no biggie." Sarah headed for the exit, holding the door open for Clarice to follow as she left. "So, how's your day going?"

Pulling a cap on, Clarice shrugged, "Another day, another stupid person hurting themselves in a new and crazy way. I'm too young to be as cynical as House, but I so see where he gets it. You? Anything new and exciting?"

"Not really, nah. Same old same old, looking forward to the holidays for a break, kinda." It wasn't going to be a good time of the year for Layla, which worried her a little, but she wasn't about to admit that aloud. "And trying to figure out how to finish my Christmas shopping, which is more of a pain than usual this year, ugh."

"Welcome to Christmas at Xavier's," Clarice chucked, "So long as the demons and other baddies stay home, I'll consider it a win. Even if someone does singe their eyebrows off trying to deep fry a turkey," which was never a good idea, but someone always did something stupid. It was a rule or something. "I vote internet shopping as much as possible. Which means I won't, but it's a good for sane people!"

"Demons?" Sarah shuddered at the thought. Her time at Xavier's taught her to expect the unexpected but some things she'd just rather not think about, and demons were one of them. "Internet shopping is of the good, it's true, but for Christmas, I dunno." She shrugged. "It feels more... personal, I guess, doing it in person. But we'll see, time is of the essence now and all that."

"It always is," Clarice linked her arm through Sarah's as they headed into the diner to eat, "I mean, you never know what can happen next around here!"
