Tandy and Hope take a moment to catch up and talk about the play and acting.

Walking down the hallway, Tandy stopped at her old suite room. The blonde missed it in there, but she was enjoying time being in a suite by herself - though she did have Adrienne in there. The blonde knocked on the door, she was too meet Hope to hang out. Plus Adrienne had been acting weird lately and Tandy wanted to be alone with some people her own age for the afternoon, "Hope, it is Tan."

Hope looked up from her home work, a little surprised for the knock on the door. She checked the clock and frowned. "It's that time already?" She muttered softly as she quickly headed over. "He Tandy. It is good to see you. Please come in. Do you want something to drink?"

"No I am a little early. Adr...Ms. Frost has been acting a little strange lately and figure I would give her some space, you know." She walked into the room and sat down on the couch. "Water would be fine for me."

"I can do my French later just as well." She quickly fixed two glasses of sparkling water, adding an ice cube and slice of lemon to each. "Is Ms. Frost alright?" Hope asked as she took a seat next to Tandy. "She seemed somewhat confused which test we were supposed to get last week."

"I am not sure. Maybe she is just having a lot of stress? We have a hearing with the lawyers at the end of this month about the guardianship hearing...maybe it is because of that?"

"Perhaps, but I am sure that will go well. From what I have seen you... work well together... " Hope blushed a little. "I am not sure how to say that."

Tandy smiled at Hope. "Thanks Hope. But how are things without me around? More dull?"

"I have to admit, it a lot quieter. Maddie is spending a lot of time at the rehearsals and Renee has always been quite on her own." Hope's eyes were far away for a bit. "And how are you doing, Tandy? I was worried when I heard what happened."

"I am fine. Maddie isn't the only one doing a lot of rehearsal time. The play is next month so we are all cramming and getting it all set up. But I am doing fine...or as fine as a teenager can be."

"What was it again what you are playing? Maddie has mentioned it a few times, but it keeps slipping my mind." Hope said, lowering her eyes bashfully.

"Bye Bye Birdie, a Broadway Musical where a girl wins a kiss from a rockstar. Drama ensues and the whole nine yards. You should come. This may be the only chance anyone will hear me sing."

"Oh, I was definitely planning on coming. I would not miss you all acting and singing for the world. Will there also be dancing or would that be too much?"

"I have one song with Maddie. We are pretty good together. And yes, there is a couple of dance numbers. Luckily I don't have to do too much. Just a lot of singing."

"Then I will definitely be there." Hope had a small grin on her face. "Do you have the dates when you will be performing already?"

"It is in Mid-Aprilish." Tandy said with a thought. "There are going to be posters going up pretty soon at Salem High and I am pretty sure the cast will be given a "pre-order" sale first. Tickets are like 6 bucks. And all of it goes back into the Theater department."

"Maybe you should ask for one of the posters and put one up here too? There might be others who would like to attend as well?" Hope suggested after some consideration. "There are quite few people from here participating."

"I think that we might. Yea me, Maddie and Billy. Clint is helping with the sets and stuff, but he won't be caught dead on that stage."

"That is about a third of our group. I would definitely put a poster up... Wait, Clint is not on stage? I thought he would be, but what you say makes a lot more sense."

"I tried to convince him but no go. He said he isn't the acting type. It has been a lot of fun at practice. It can be kind of boring, especially when it isn't your scene. We have already started dress for the parts and I have to carry this gym bag around with my outfits."

"That must be a pain sometimes. Do you have to change very often during the play?" Hope has always imagined that being a complicated part, having to be able to change in seconds.

"Yes. I have about three dresses and two wigs." Tandy laughed at the wigs part. "My character has dark hair and not blonde."

"You have wigs?" Hope shook her head. "That makes my recitals seem easy. The formal clothing was not always the easiest thing to play in, but at least I would not have to change in the middle of them."

"Rosie Alvarez." Tandy scratched the back of her head. "That is the name of character I am playing. Oh I wouldn't trade being in the play for anything. I really like theater and acting. It is a lot of fun. You should try it at least once."

"I do not think I would be any good at it... Though I have always been fond of attending various drama performances." Hope paused a moment, trying to picture herself on stage. "But... I think music provides enough of a challenge for me on that area."

"Or at least join drama with me next year. You might like it."

"I will certainly think about it." Hope bit her lip. "Though I might have a plan for something different that is somewhat related to drama..."

"Oh? Do tell." Tandy looked at her former suitemate and friend. "You can tell me."

"It's nothing much. I was just playing with maybe taking a public speaking/debate class next year at Salem High. I think that might be a good class for me." Hope shrugged a little.

"Like going up against other school debates? Don't those go on to competition and stuff?"

"I have not yet looked into it that far, but I believe that is an option if I want. It's not really what I had in mind though. I think it would not hurt for me to learn to present my opinion confidently." Hope blushed a little. "That must sound a little strange though."

"Not at all. I think that is a good idea. Besides, you may surprise yourself."

"Who knows?" Hope shrugged a little. "If there is something this school does, it is managing to change people from what I have seen... I think I will just let myself be surprised."

"Well hopefully it changes for the better." Tandy smiled before standing up, "Come lets go and play some pool or something in the rec room."
