Tandy and Clint enjoy Junior Prom... and show off some unique dance moves.

Tandy moved through the crowd away from where Prom pictures were being taken. Group pictures and couple pictures were over and done with and truthfully Tandy was happy for it. "Want to get something to drink and then dance? Just one dance. Promise. Or two. Maybe three." She grinned at Clint, her handsome date for the night.

"Sure," Clint said, smiling. They were walking around the edge of the dance floor and he couldn't help casting a glance toward Tandy before taking her hand and pulling her out to dance. "Or we could dance instead of getting a drink - save that for later. You like this song, right?"

"I may have this song on my playlist." The teenager giggled, "Better watch out Clint. I may have been working on my robot moves recently." Tandy added in a semi-serious tone as she started to dance with him.

"Robot moves?" Clint feigned horror as he found his rhythm. "You'd better watch out. I'll challenge you to a robot duel."

"Robot moves." Tandy nodded before she smiled at him. "Oh, A robot duel? Do you think we could get others to join if we start doing that? Be amazing to see half the school doing the robot."

Laughing, Clint said, "We'll never know if we don't try. And if nobody else joins in, we'll just be that couple. The one people make weird faces about. I'm not worried, are you?"

"You're right. Weird faces I am not worried about, I mean I had tons of practice of that during rehearsals. Okay lets do it." Tandy stopped moving and started to do her robot moves. It wasn't the best in the world but she was what one called, a beginner.

Clint couldn't help it - he cracked up for about three seconds before joining in. He wasn't exactly fantastic when it came to this, either, but he intended to have as much fun at this thing as was humanly possible.

Tandy did notice several other students laughing but a few did join in on the robot dancing. The blonde attempted to do the robot walk but her dress was getting in the way. "Knew I should have gotten a shorter one." She put her hand on Clint's shoulder to fix where it had gotten stuck on her shoe.

Grinning, Clint put one hand on Tandy's waist to steady her and said, "I dunno - we could try a dance that doesn't involve weird foot movements. Maybe that'll work better for a while."

"But I think we were starting a new dance style." Finally she got her dress shoe-free as the next song start. "A bit slower pace. So enjoying the prom?"

"Yeah, so far it's been fun," Clint said, starting in on a slower version of the robot, still keeping time with the base beat of the current song. "We're probably never gonna hear the end of this from Sue and Maddie. I can already hear Mads saying she has no idea who we are." Of course, his best friend had made him write his name on her actual dance card, so chances were her amnesia would only last as long as he was doing the robot.

"Sue is always looking for something to tease me on. But yeah, I can hear Mads saying the same thing. Oh well they don't know a good time when they see it." Tandy continued to dance but without moving her feet, she didn't trust her shoes. "Wait that wasn't the robot I just totally did the wavey arm move. I fail." Lowering her arms, she sighed in defeat but in a joking manner.

"Nah," Clint said, looping an arm around Tandy's waist and reeling her in as the song changed again. "You don't fail." It was a slow song, something with a woman singing over a piano, not much else. "But let's give this normal dancing thing a shot - just to confuse the people still watching us."

"What is this normal dancing you speak off?" Hooking her arms around Clint's neck, "Guess I still need more dance lessons. And I am all down for confusing people. We are so odd you and I."

Still smiling, Clint said, "Nothing wrong with odd." They'd always be different when it came to the majority of their peer group - there was nothing either of them could do about their genetics. But they could dance and be teenagers together, laugh and stay out far too late with their friends before catching an early breakfast at a diner on the way back to the mansion.

"Nope. I like odd. I find those people to be way more interesting." She leaned in and gave Clint a kiss on the cheek before resting her chin on his shoulder.

Clint just grinned and tightened his arms a little as they danced, letting go slowly as the music came to an end. "Want to get that drink?"

"Sure." Tandy pulled away but kept an arm around his as they walked over to the table where the drinks were located. "Hopefully they are not spiked."

Taking two glasses of punch, Clint smiled at the teacher standing guard at the punch bowl before handing a glass to Tandy. He sniffed at his own before saying, "Pretty sure nobody spiked them."

Taking a small little sip to taste it, "Good. 'Cause I'd rather remember this night. Mainly because my date looks so dashing in that suit."

Clint blushed a little, hoping the lights were low enough that Tandy wouldn't be able to tell. "You look pretty great, yourself. But I told you that already. As if Andre and Steve taking fifty bajillion pictures of us wasn't evidence enough."

"Your foster dads are amazing. Andre really knows his clothing, kept asking who designed it. I think he was shocked when I told him it was just from a random store." Tandy giggled before taking a sip of her drink. "But with all those pictures, you'll have memories of our first prom."

"Yeah, that's true," Clint said, smiling. "And they are pretty awesome. They're adopting me for real. It should be finalized in a month or two."

Tandy smiled widely, "Clint! That is great news!" She reached over and hugged him tightly. "I am so happy for you! Honestly I am."

Clint hugged Tandy back, careful of their drinks. "Thanks - it took a little getting used to, the idea of them really adopting me, but... it's going to be really nice. I mean, I've been with them for a really long time now, anyway."

"That is because they know how awesome you are. You are a good guy and you deserve the best."

Pretty sure that even the low lighting wouldn't be able to hide the way his cheeks were heating up, Clint shook his head a little and attempted to change the subject. "So how about we see if we can bring the macarena back?"

Tandy laughed, "Macarena? Clint, you dancing never ceases to amaze me and I mean that in the best way possible."
