The girls decide to help their friend in need, who is currently bed-ridden as a result of recent battles in demonic realms. Backdated to January 8.
"Ready?"
At Yvette's confirming nod, Sooraya easily pushed open the door and playfully called out: "Angel... Where are you? Ready or not, here we come..."
The redhead in question was laying on her bed, watching Slinky and Twinkie run through the maze of tubes she'd set up on her floor. Her phone was sitting on her bedside table, off, her laptop abandoned on her pillow next to her head. She didn't really want to talk to anyone.
Apparently a mysterious "we" had other ideas.
"That sounds ominous," she called back with a smirk as she pushed herself up, wincing just slightly. "Should I be scared?"
"Of us? Maybe." Yvette peered around the corner of the doorway, eyes glowing cheerfully. "No, do not get up. We are to take care of you."
"One mini spa, delivered to your room." Sooraya stepped back to drag in a small rolling cart on which various necessities were arranged. "We thought you could use a little pampering."
"I remembered, after my kidney transplant, how awful it was not to be able to wash my hair properly," Yvette explained. "So we decided to spoil you with the girlie day - without you having to leave your bed."
Angel lifted herself a bit more, eyeing the rolling cart as her lips twitching into a grin. "Really?" Her voice hopped up a bit in anticipation. That sounded like a blast.
"Really." Sooraya pulled over the cart to the bed. "So we have here the supplies to wash hair, to do a manicure and a pedicure. What does the lady wish to do first?" Sooraya bowed with an exaggerated gesture.
Angel giggled, readjusting herself. "Hair." She squirmed a lot and played with her fingers when people were washing her hair, and she'd hate to ruin their hard work. "Definitely hair."
Yvette grinned and pulled a basin off the cart. "Then hair it shall be."

If there was one thing Angel wasn't good at, it was sitting still. Especially when people were playing with her feet. She giggled, wiggling her toes again. "Sorry." The humor in her voice took quite a bit away from the apology. So did the fact that it was the third time she'd said it in five minutes.
"Angel..." Sooraya sent her glare, though the effect was rather spoiled by the smile playing around her mouth. "If you don't stop moving your feet, we might end up soaking your feet in remover!" She carefully closed the small bottle of bright green nail polish (she still wasn't sure if it had been her or Yvette's idea to paint a rainbow on Angel's toe nails). "That would ruin all the hard work!"
Sneakily though, she dragged one squirming finger down the sole of Angel's feet, firming up her hold on her ankle so she wouldn't hurt herself.
"Eep!" Angel squealed at that, giving a funny little jerk. "Mean!" She squeaked, giggling still. Her feet were way too sensitive.
"If you make her jerk like that, I will get nail polish all over her hands!" Yvette mock-scolded from where she was working on Angel's right hand. The hair washing had gone well, and Angel's hair was shiny and wavy and clean-looking, spread out on the pillow after they'd dried it. "Once we are done here, perhaps the movie?" she suggested. "I have the new one with the little yellow minions."
Sooraya resumed creating the rainbow pattern, this time with a bottle of purple polish. "Little yellow minions." She repeated slowly with a frown. "Which movie do you mean? I have no idea..."
"Despicable Me!" Angel giggled. "Two! I didn't get to see that one, it looked soooooo cute though. Lets do it!"
"Cute yellow little beings? That does sounds promising." She giggled at the pictures that ran through her head. "How does this look from up there?"
"Beautiful!" Yvette exclaimed with a grin - the rainbow effect was certainly striking and very colourful. "Can you see, Angel, or should we take the picture with someone's phone?"
"Ooooh, hang on." Angel lifted herself the best she could. It was only for a few seconds, but it was enough to get a look. "Pretty!" She reached for phone, turning it back on. "Can you still take a picture though?" She wanted to keep a record of it forever.
"I can take one." She accepted Angel's phone and took two photo's. One close up and one showing all her toes. "You know, this might become the next trend. How shall we call them? Toe-selfies?" She smiled at the idea and leaned over to Yvette. "Oh, that looks great!"
Yvette had painted Angel's nails sky blue, with happy little sun faces on each one, using a sharpened fingertip dipped in black for the eyes and smiles. "Thank you," she said, eyes glowing happily. "How do you like it, Angel? Rainbows and sunshine, to make your days less dull and grey while you are recovering, yes?"
"They're so cute!" Angel squealed, bouncing a bit, careful not to mess her up pretty nails. "Lookit, lookit all the colors!" Not that they hadn't already seen the colors, they'd painted them after all. She was just excited - really, truly excited, for the first time in a while. "These are great, thank you both soooooooo much.
Sooraya shook her head as she laughed at her friend's exuberance. "We're happy to do it." Eyeing the phone in her hand she stepped back a little and held it up. "Okay, now show us all twenty!"
"And please be careful, with the bouncing, or you will hurt yourself again!" Yvette cautioned, laughing as she stepped back to let Sooraya take the photograph.
"Oooooops." Angel was still giggling as she settled down again, fingers spread out to show off Yvette's work and toes sticking up to display Sooraya's. This was the best mood she'd been in in a while.
"Okay, say cheese!" Sooraya pulled a wacky face at Angel, though that wasn't needed at all. Quicly she shot a few pics, taking the time to zoom in on some of the details. "There, your nails have now forever been immortalized."
"Awesome!" Angel was grinning as she took back her phone, examining the pictures happily. "You guys are the best." She looked at the pictures for another moment before setting the phone aside. "So. I believe something was said about ice cream and little yellow minions?"
"Ready?"
At Yvette's confirming nod, Sooraya easily pushed open the door and playfully called out: "Angel... Where are you? Ready or not, here we come..."
