Clint helps Tandy with Physics and then they talk about other stuff.

Clint watched as Tandy finished up the last of her AP Physics homework. They'd been working on it for almost two hours and it looked like her brains might actually start oozing out of her ears if he didn't give her a break from it - and fast. It wasn't that she didn't get it, it was just that it all just clicked for Clint, everything slotting into the proper places. He didn't have to think about it to know where something was going and how to get there easily.

Obviously, it wasn't like that for everyone. He just hoped he was helping her, since he didn't want to simply give her the answers. "Right - looks like you're done." He gave her a grin. "Looking forward to the CPR training on the 28th?" So far as topic changes went, it wasn't the smoothest, but Red-X was something they both enjoyed and it was worlds away from Physics.

"Oh thank god. I thought you were never going to say that." Tandy fell over and laid there for a moment. "I could actually feel my brain turning into mush." Looking over at Clint and then nodded "For Red-X? Yes. Which reminds me...should I celebrate my birthday on the 28th or should I wait until the 1st?"

"Definitely start on the 28th," Clint said, laughing. "You know, do something with Miss Frost and then have a party on Saturday for the rest of us. It can be a weekend-long birthday. Which is so much better than just one day."

Tandy made a face as she was thinking, "I think you are on to something my dear Clint." She sat back up and stretched. "Where is the CPR training going to take place?"

"I dunno - I was going to email Miss Petrovic to figure out. I think maybe in the gym or somewhere in the X-Corp offices. That'd make sense." Clint paused for a moment, then said, "I kind of wish we could do stuff more often, you know? Like, not right now, because that'd be hard with school and everything else, but - hey, is your uncle doing another food drive or soup kitchen thing we could help with?"

"Also it might be because we are not quite adults yet. They wouldn't want us to do the hard stuff." Tandy nodded again, "Yea. He is always doing his soup kitchen. But funny you should ask. I just made those flyers last week for the new food drive that is coming up. It will end of the middle of next month - I think." She pulled out her phone and started to look through it. "Yup ends on the 14th of next month, I should know this. I wrote it a billion times. Physics is eating my brains." She pouted at the thought.

Clint laughed. "Yeah, I don't mean doing the hard stuff, just... more training or community outreach or something. I dunno. I just like feeling like I'm helping people." He shrugged, then brightened. "Awesome - you've probably got most of the flyers out, but I can give a stack to Andre and Steve to see if they can pass them out to their friends or paste them up in their offices. That might help get more attention to the drive?"

"More training? Oh wait you are talking about like CPR and First Aid. For a moment I was think of New Mutant Training." Tan smiled at the other boy, "And you are helping people." She patted him on the shoulder in reassurance. "Sweet. I have some stacks up in my room. We can go and get them later. That also reminds me, I have something for Andre." Which normally meant she had something fashion related for him.

"Well, you know I don't mind extra New Mutant training, either, but with my stuff with Logan and Mister Summers, I don't think I'd have time for any more of that. But yeah, CPR and First Aid - that stuff's useful no matter what. And I like the idea of being CPR certified, like a first responder. It's good training," Clint said, nodding. "And awesome - I'm sure Andre'll love that. What is it, though? Something that I should, like, give him when I see him next weekend or should I make a special trip over after my tutor session with Mister Ramsey?"

"How is your training going? Still finding out stuff to your powers?" Tandy asked him. "Well if you been poisoned by deadly statue moving with stingers, I have you covered in that department." She sat up straight so she could look at both her hands. "Admission to the Fashion Show that is going on right now. I know we both talked about it and I was able to pull some strings. I am surprised how much influence I have for being my mother's daughter. I haven't decided if it is because they were scared of my mother or they still feel bad for me. Anyways I have the passes so….a special trip?"

"Dude, he'll love that," Clint said, grinning. "I'll call him and let him know. And so far as my training goes - it's pretty cool. My shoulder's kind of sore because Mister Summers had me practicing shooting clay pigeons and shotguns have like. Recoil or something. He said my eyes did a weird thing, so I'm going to be seeing somebody in the medlab to make sure it's not hurting my eyes, but he said with my spatial awareness and stuff, it should make close combat as well as ranged easier."

"Coolio. I thought he would, I mean that is what we would talk about when we went to your house." Tandy made a wince and rubbed her own shoulder at the thought of firing a shotgun. "Your eyes did a weird thing?" Tandy moved closer to look at his eyes. "Do they hurt when they did a weird thing?"

"Nah, it doesn't hurt," Clint said, shaking his head. "Mister Summers said it was like my pupils dilated - got really big. And then they got super small again when I focused on whatever I was focusing on. He had Doctor Grey-Summers check me out and she said I was fine, there was nothing wrong with my eyes."

"You sound like a bird." Tandy leaned back on the couch and picked up the remote control to the T.V. "Though focusing like that would be pretty great. I am learning to move my daggers to my will instead of letting them go all over the place."

Clint grinned. "Yeah, that's what everybody says. A bird, a squid - I'm pretty sure I've got the weirdest mix of animal eye traits ever. But it's kind of cool. How much are you able to control your daggers?"

"Not a squid though. Unless you ink." Tandy paused for a moment before breaking out in laughter. "I imagined you being like the squid in Finding Nemo, 'Aww I inked.'" It was at least funny in Tandy's mind. Wiping away a tear in her eye before answering. "The closer they are the better. I can't make them stop once they are flying but at least I can aim."

Laughing, Clint shook his head. "No, no ink. But that's great with your daggers. Cause y'know. Friendly fire would suck." He gave her a grin. "You up for some dinner? I think I saw some leftover pizza downstairs."

"I have heard that they burn when they hit you. I am immune." Tandy nodded, "Sure. And hopefully there is pizza left over. PD might had eaten it all."
