Adrienne 'accidentally' wakes Tandy up early and gives her her graduation gift.

It was barely dawn when Adrienne turned up some 90s dance music in the suite and started dancing around as loudly as possible- which, thanks to the help of her crutches and the fact she had to hop on one leg, was pretty loud. She'd barely slept the night before, but she couldn't wait much longer to give Tandy the manila envelope that Mickey Rooney was now sitting on on top of a counter at the kitchenette, so she'd returned from Garrison's with a plan to coax the impending graduate from her slumber in the most gentle way possible. With some Good Vibrations and a lot of banging of pots and pans under the pretense of Adrienne making breakfast. "Vibrations good like Sunkist, many wanna know who done this," she recited loudly. "Marky Mark and I'm here to move you, rhymes will groove you and I'm here to prove to you... that we can party on the positive side, and pump positive vibes, so come along for the ride. Making you feel the rhythm is my occupation, so feel the vibration!"

The graduating student rolled in her bed as she heard music and lots of pot banging. What was her guardian doing? Summoning the cooking god of the kitchen? "MMmmmm...." She groaned as she looked over at her alarm clock to see that it was early - like really really early. "Adrienne..." Tandy tried to say but it came out a little more than a whispered. Stretching and tossing off the covers, Tandy crawled out of the bed and towards the door. "What are you doing it is like, 3am." Rubbing her eyes at the bright lights of the suite. "Whatever you are on, I can cure it."

"Oh! Heeeey!" Adrienne greeted excitedly, trying to sound as surprised as possible about Tandy waking up. "Did I wake you? Sooooo sorry!" Mickey Rooney got up to pad over to Tandy for some skritching so Adrienne grabbed the manila envelope and put it under her arm. "But... since you're up," she added in a suggestive tone, raising an eyebrow, "do you wanna open your graduation gift?" She put a cup of coffee in a travel mug on a tray with some fruit and yogurt and picked the tray up, ready to hop it back to Tandy's room. "Breakfast in bed... graduation gift... so much better than sleeping, amiright?"

Tandy raised an eyebrow at Adrienne and yawned. "You make so much noise you could wake the dead." Watching her with the tray of food and walking back into her bedroom. "I will let you know the answer when I wake up fully. And sure, I love presents." Tandy turned on her bedroom light before walking back to her bed.

Adrienne hopped the few steps into the bedroom and set the tray down on Tandy's nightstand, bouncing on her bed a little before passing over the manila envelope with its big red bow on it, grinning with her whole face.

Reaching over for a piece of fruit and popped it into her mouth before taking the manila envelope, "Kind of thick." Looking at Adrienne before slowly opening it up and looking at the contents inside. Pulling out out a few of the items, "Are these....plane..." She almost choked on the fruit as she read the open-date tickets to Europe. "EUROPE! REALLY?"

"Really," Adrienne answered, still beaming. In addition to the two open-date tickets arriving in and departing from Paris, she'd also included two EuroRail passes, one credit card, and two booklets with three-weeks-worth of pre-paid vouchers for beds in a reputable hostel chain with accommodations in nearly every large city in Europe.

Tandy tipped the envelope over and let the rest of the contents falling out. "Oh my god...." She whispered as she saw the booklets. "OH my god!" Seeing the credit card. "OH MY GOD!" After she saw the EuroRail Passes. "I AM GOING TO EUROPE!" Tandy proceeded to stand up and jump and down on her bed. "EUROPE!"

Adrienne just laughed and basked in Tandy's exuberance for a moment before cocking an eyebrow and adding with a smirk: "with a friend of your choice."

Tandy stopped jumping as Adrienne said with a friend of her choice. "I AM GOING TO EUROPE WITH A FRIEND OF MY CHOICE!" She continued to jump for a few more seconds before falling back to the bed. "I need to text Sue." Reaching over for her cellphone and sent off a quick text before looking up at Adrienne. "I don't know what to say." The blonde proceeded to tackle Adrienne into a hug. "Only that you really are the best adult on the planet."

This wasn't the first time Tandy had tackled her with gratitude, but Adrienne was caught off guard and it took her a moment to realize she'd been body-checked onto Tandy's pillow. She laughed some more as she recovered and returned the hug, holding onto Tandy tightly. "I totally am, aren't I?" she agreed, still smirking. "But this was exactly what you deserved, kid. I'm proud of you. I just wanted to show you that."

Tandy snuggled into Adrienne, mindful of the leg, "Totally are." The teen sat up again and looked down at the tickets. "I am half thinking I am still asleep. Europe...so much to see...so much."

Adrienne liked the snuggling, so she didn't pull away. She even didn't have the urge to smooth out her hair or blouse or capri pants when Tandy sat up to examine the tickets further. "Oh yeah, totally. I was going to book you on one of those Contiki tours for 18-35 year-olds... the one where you go through ten countries in 21 days or whatever? But I figured it would be more fun if you got to decide how much time you got to spend in each country. This way, you can do three countries or five countries or ten or fifteen. Whatever you wanna do. Well, whatever you and Sue wanna do," she amended, since Tandy's phone had just buzzed with what Adrienne assumed was a reply to the message she'd just sent. "Assuming her dad's cool with this."

"Really? They both sound amazing." Tandy placed a hand over her heart, "It is pounding. I think you just woke me up and I don't think I am going back to bed." Looking back at the tickets. "Any time? I need to figure out where I want to go. What to see. What countries we want to go on." Looking over at her phone, "Probably telling me to go back to sleep. I am pretty sure her dad will be cool with it. I mean, it Europe. How can someone not be cool with it?"

Adrienne could think of a few reasons- one of which being that Sue wouldn't even be eighteen until the third week of August- but she kept them to herself. "You're right, I'm sure he'll be cool with it. There are a bunch of travel books and brochures on the coffee table to help you figure things out," she told Tandy, still grinning thanks to the teenager's comment about her heart pounding. She'd taken Tandy to a couple cities in Italy and the UK over the past couple summers, but wasn't sure if her ward had ever been anywhere else in Europe. "Have you ever been to Turkey? And, by the way, it's like, after 5am. It's not that early," she teased. "If you don't go back to bed I'm sure you'll survive. I waited until the sun was nearly up to wake you up."

"I'll have to check it out. No haven't been to Turkey and it is that early." Tandy narrowed her eyes in a joking way. "So it was your goal to wake me up." Shaking her head as she rolled over to grab the thermal with coffee. "Today is going to be awesome. Everything is awesome! Everything is cool when you are part of a team.." She started to sing.

"Everything is awesommmmme, when we're livin' our dreeeeeeeeeeeam," Adrienne sang back, though she was rolling her eyes despite smirking as she sang. "Of course it was my goal." She stole a grape from the bowl of fruit on the nightstand and popped it in her mouth. "Waking you up unintentionally at 5am would just be rude." After eating another grape, she muttered "you'd probably like Turkey. Beaches and really cheap clothes. Lots and lots of clothes. It's pretty... awesome."

"Waking up anyone at 5am could be labeled as rude. But this makes up for it." Tandy smirked at her guardian. "Should I bring an extra bag just for clothing to be bought?"

"Knowing you, you'd need at least three," Adrienne chuckled. "I'll send you along with the information of a baggage shipping service that has offices all over Europe. I have an account with them." She popped another grape in her mouth. "And you're not just 'anyone'," she teased. "You're special. There are very few people I'd wake up at 5am. It's a very short list. That stupid cat and I are alike that way," she grumbled, jerking a thumb at the cat that was on Tandy's nightstand nosing her coffee tumbler.

"You might get a few of those package. I can forsee it now." Tandy looked at the blank space on her wall imagining the amount of packages that she would ship to the mansion. "Thanks for putting me on that list." The blonde smiled and reached over for Mickey. "He isn't stupid, he is smart and I love him."

"We'll see how much you love him when he eats that rabbit of yours," Adrienne teased.

"Bunnicula? They are best friends. They totally snuggle." Tan looked over at the empty cage remembering that Bunnicula was with Matt. "Mickey is too sweet for that."

Adrienne gave her a skeptical look. "I bet one of them's just posturing until it can launch an attack on the other one. But my money's on the rabbit. I've heard how vicious those things can be, especially to cats." She thought about that for a moment. "But I guess if it keeps them from banding together to kill us, I'm okay with it."

"This one did bite Matt and drew blood so I wouldn't put it past him. My plotting against each other or plotting against us. Both are scary thoughts." Letting go of Mickey and going for another piece of fruit before looking at the gift again. "Europe...I can't believe it."

"There's a padlock on its cage, right?" Adrienne questioned, eyes narrowing. She then picked up the cat and held it up to eye level. "I won't throw you out in the rain ever again if you protect me from that carnivorous rabbit," she promised it. It let out a plaintive meow and wriggled free, continuing to lick Tandy's coffee tumbler. "I'm going to take that as a yes." She slid off Tandy's bed, figuring she'd get out of Tandy's way now that she'd delivered the gift and eaten a bunch of her breakfast. "I'm glad you're excited. I had no idea what the norm was when it came to these sorts of things, so I just kind of went with my gut, and my gut said to let you run around Europe for a couple weeks and get some of the typical freshman craziness out of your system before college," she smirked.

"Of course. And I think your cat is addicted to coffee." Tandy smiled at Adrienne. "Yes! And it is a once in a life time opportunity. I mean how many people just go to Europe and just travel? Prepare for boxes of gifts and lots of pictures."

"I thought it was your cat?" Adrienne told Tandy, looking confused. But she shooed the cat off the nightstand as she chuckled at Tandy. "You don't have to get me gifts. Just have a good time and stay out of too much trouble."

"Oh. My cat. Mr Sunshine of Many names." She cooed at the cat before turning towards Adrienne. "Me? Trouble? You are look at the anti of troublemakers."

Adrienne raised her eyebrows and continued chuckling. "That's good to hear. Because if I have to come bail you out of captivity in some dirty Eastern European prison for destroying a... bell tower or windmill or whatever it is they have over there, I'm not gonna be pleased."
