Tandy and Sue are waiting at the airport as their flight is delayed for an hour.

Tandy sat on a chair looking out to the runways, watching the planes land and take off. Their trip was off to a wonderful start with an hour delay. "Sue, I am bored."

Sue looked up from her tablet and gave Tandy a long level look, "It's been an hour," she noted with an amused look, "How exactly are you gonna survive a 10 hour plane ride, or like 10 hours on a train going between countries?"

"I have my DS but don't want to waste batteries. And I have those language books." Tandy looked around again before looking back at Sue. "Whatcha readin'."

The younger girl tipped down the tablet so Tandy could see the game of Angry Birds she was playing, "I get bored too," she noted with a grin, "And you know it's maths, so summer homework too".

"I cannot believe you mentioned homework to me during summer break." Tandy rubbed her temples. "We are on vacation. No games that have to involve homework." She turned to Sue and gave her friend a smirk. "Hungry? There is a cafe over there we can go and wait at."

"But don't all games involve homework of some sort?" Sue pointed out with a glint in her eye, "It it's just physics or psychology and tactics, they all teach you something," she pointed out with a laugh as she stood up, "So are you telling me that there will be no games at all this holiday?"

"I am not going to say that, but I do think we will be too busy looking at sights." Tandy smirked. "Do you really think I would give up games cold turkey?"

"Well I live in hope," Sue shot back with a teasing grin, "I make up one day to find you'd gotten rid of all your games. Ok so I'd think you were possessed or something," the shorter blonde allowed, "but you never know."

"Like that will ever happen. And I promise I will never be possessed and give up my love of games. So restaurant? Maybe it will help this last hour of waiting go by in a breeze."

"Gotta be better than sitting here looking at the same gate for an hour," came the reply as Sue dropped her tablet into her bag, "They really should do something to make it more interesting," the blonde noted waving her hands to take in the airport, "It's just so monotonous. I don't know how people don't get tired of it."

"One day when you are a famous scientist, I will be able to ride your private jet and bypass all of this." Tandy made the same waving motions as Sue. "And I think that is why the allow bars in airports. To forget that they are trapped in hell."

"Bah," Sue smiled good naturedly, "I'd still have to account for everything to my accountants. More likely when you're a rich and famous movie star and everyone here is clamoring for your autograph we'll be able to use your private plane to jet off to exotic locations. Celebrities are supposed to do stuff like that." Sue looked over at the aforementioned bar and gave a wry grin, "Sadly we can't really go inside, at least not here."

"You can just tell those accountants you need a private jet for business purposes right?" Tandy gave her friend a devilish grin. "If I become a movie star my dear. I am currently going to school for directing purposes. Which is why I brought my handy dandy video recorder." Looking over at the bar. "Soon enough. Right? Only three more years. I still have my fake ID. Don't think it would work at a bar."

"Sounds like a pain. Just buy it for yourself and don't have it be part of the business." Tandy patted her friend on the shoulder. "No one will judge you." She walked into the small restaurant and nodded, "Hot chocolate and muffins hit the spot."
