Charles and Scott confer on the lack of information available on the Friends of Humanity. Scott remembers to look on the bright side of things.

"What have you got so far?" Charles turned around from looking out the window to look at Scott.

"Just what we've managed to siphon off of the police channels and some information from Gordon." Scott tossed the digital notepad in his hand down on Charles' desk.

"So, nothing?" Charles' voice was mild and his expression neutral but his irritation was palpable to someone who'd known him as long as Scott had.

Scott nodded reluctantly. "Pretty much. They're hard to find, Charles," he said, sitting down on the couch and staring at the sky out the window beyond Charles' shoulder. "It's almost like there is no Friends of Humanity out there. I've looked in all the usual places, the websites and the chatrooms and the messageboards. I see them mentioned but..." He shook his head. "They don't recruit. They don't make grand statements, they don't show up on the radar like the other groups do."

"Frustrating, isn't it?" Charles wheeled himself over to his desk and picked up the notepad. "Get Tabitha and someone else, perhaps Marie, she's got a quick mind for these things and I think she could use some distracting right now. They got into the park, they had access to information, likely through the electronic medium. Find what you can that way, I'll dispatch Kurt and Logan to do the on-site work."

Scott frowned at Charles but nodded and got to his feet. "I'll do that then." He got partway to the door and then stopped, looking over his shoulder at Charles. "First Art class and then a cross-country plane trip. Are you trying to cheer me up?"

"Scott," Charles said, in a slightly chiding tone. "Would I do a thing like that?"

"Only as a fortunate side effect," Scott admitted. "Still. I'm cheered."

"Gloating is an unattractive trait, Scott," Charles said, prodding the notepad with a stylus. "I could always book another seat on that flight to Florida. It's a charter, so there's still plenty of room. You could sit next to Logan."

"Going now," Scott said briskly. "We'll have that information before tomorrow morning." He let himself out of Charles's office and went to find Tabitha and Marie.
