With his fake-girlfriend out of town, Julian and Rogue try to find something to watch on Netflix.

Comfortably settled into his expensive pajamas and cozily wrapped in a bathrobe against the early chill of the New England autumn, Julian settled onto the couch with a bowl of popcorn. Happily munching a handful, he held the bowl out to his partner in crime as she shuffled through the Netflix listings. "Find anything yet?"

"There's an awful lot of crap," Rogue commented, stretching her legs out on the recliner. "I've narrowed it down to Bluberella or Sharknado, since I think we can both agree that anything with Katherine Heigel is out. ‎ And let's be real: Sunday night is for crappy TV.". She took a handful of popcorn, and smiled at Julian.

"Also, your fake girlfriend isn't gonna kick my ass over this, is she? I'd hate to start a fake rivalry that I want no part of."

"What, Tandy? Oh please, don't worry about it," Julian chuckled, setting the popcorn on the cushion between them. "Actually, that would probably bump up our profile even more...but I don't think you'd enjoy the spot-light quite as much as Miss Bowen and I do." He was adamant about not missing Tandy as she and Sue did whatever they were planning to do in Connecticut- it wasn't like they were really a couple, just friends. "And can we please not watch something terrible? We just watched the Walking Dead- let's watch something else awesome?"

Rogue sighed in an exaggerated manner, before clicking on Breaking Bad. "Fine, let's learn what not to do if we are ever diagnosed with cancer...but you still owe me a bad movie."

She took a few seconds before responding to his first comment. "I wonder though, if I was in the spotlight....would my parents notice? Would they even look me up then.."

Julian looked over at her and made a grab for the remote, pausing as it was jerked away. His brown furrowing, the remote began to glow and snapped to his hand with a painful thwak. "Damn...ow," he shook off the sting as he paused the show. "What are you talking about?"

She looked at him, confused for a few minutes before her eyes widened. "Oh, did we never talk about that? I never told you bout my family or Cody or anything?"‎

"You said your family and you didn't really talk anymore- and I can fully understand that, parents suck." Julian popped another kernel of popcorn into his mouth to accentuate his point.

"Yeah, they do....mine never did anything really wrong, mind you. Raised me good and everything..‎..never was abused or saw something I shouldn't...". Normally, she wouldn't elaborate more but he was quickly turning into one of her best friends. She could trust him.

"I manifested during my first kiss. Cody. Put him in a coma. My parents, they were simple people, y'know? Never knew any mutants before me." Rogue cleared her throat. "Anyways, ‎they didn't know what to do with me, and so I ran away. Headed to Alaska. Had some fool's romantic notion about the place. Ended up meeting Logan, and making my way here. I wrote them a letter, let them know I was safe but didn't hear anything. A few years ago, I found out I was adopted when Kurt and I did a DNA test. That's a long story too, by the way," she added.

Reaching for her cup of tea, she took a deep sip before continuing. "When I learned he was my brother, all the pieces fell into place. They stopped caring about me when they learned I was a mutant. Hell, they never even looked for me. Who let's their 17 year old run away, y'know?"‎ She shook her head angrily. It'd been a long time since she'd thought about this. "So. I wonder what they'd do if I was semi famous. Probably nothing."

Julian wondered if there was a normal, well-adjusted person at the school...likely not. "Well that's...." He shook his head and backed out of Breaking Bad, "Okay- first off, dating me only makes your regionally famous. Given that little bit of an accent you have, I'm assuming you're not originally from around here. So they probably wouldn't notice." He held up two fingers, "Second, you need something less heavy. Since I'm not watching My Little Pony with you, I'm here-by authorizing," he clicked a few buttons on the remote and highlighted, "Sharknado."

Rogue couldn't help but laugh and blow him a kiss. Bad movies always cheered her up "Aw, I knew you loved me, sugar. And even if I was only regionally famous, I think I'd anonymously ‎mail something to them....but don't worry. We can come up with a different way for me to talk to them. I just...I want them to know I'm doing great, and that I did it on my own. Besides," she said, sitting up straighter. "I'm too old for you, even for a fake relationship."

"I never said you weren't," he tossed up a TK shield to block the volley of popcorn that she tossed at him. Dropping the green field, Julian shrugged, "If you really wanted to get their attention, you and I could fly down to whatever part of the south you're from and burn down the local Wal-Mart...I mean, there has to be one there, right?"

She did a spit take of her tea before bursting into laughter. "I said I wanna be famous, not infamous, silly! ". Shaking her head, she stole the remote back from him and hit play. ‎"Now let's enjoy the wonder that is Sharknado. And if you get too scared, I got teddy bears, just so you know."
