Amanda is preparing for her magic class when Tandy drops by to catch up on what she might have missed.

Magic Class. It was the one class that Tandy really didn't need but it was the one class that Tandy really wanted to know more about. It started with Dweller and it only peaked during her time in Asgard - it seemed like the now grown woman would always be surrounded by it.

She hadn't seen Amanda since her arrival and figured that she would go looking for Amanda and see if she could resume the classes. "Knock knock." The blonde knocked on the door. "May I enter?"

"Sure thing," replied Amanda with her back to the door as she pulled out her "props" for class out of her book bag. She continued speaking as she began to turn: "No need to be so forma..." Her eyes widened as she caught sight of the girl - no, young woman now, she looked to be not much younger than Amanda herself - standing in the doorway. "Tandy?! I saw on the journals you were back, but..." Lost for words, the witch crossed the room and wrapped Tandy in a tight, rather uncharacteristic, hug.

She hugged Amanda back and in that moment was grateful for the friendship she had with her. "It is good to see that you are alive..." She pulled away after a moment and looked at her. "God, this is what vampires must look like to humans."

Amanda snorted at that. "If I start sparkling, you have full permission to stake me any time," she replied. "And look at you... This is going to take some getting used to. You look more like my age than Topaz's now."

"I would consider it an honor. However, I still think we should burn the books and any dvds we can get our hands on." Tandy nodded, having regretted watching the first movie. "You are telling me. I have been gone for four years in Asgard and I come back and barely been over two months. My mind is officially blown."

"Hey, I know the feeling. It was only a week or so here and about six months for us." Amanda grimaced, remembering her own adventures in Asgard. "Time's also bollocksed up between dimensions."

"I have heard from other Asgardians that others were there before. Where you also taking under the wing of a god or goddess? Also is Loki always an asshole? I don't remember reading about that part in mythology class." She ran her fingers through her hair. "But amen sister." Nodding in agreements about the time between dimensions.

"The Enchantress - she brainwashed me into thinking I was her daughter." Amanda made a face. "Yeah, fun times. And 'asshole' is putting it mildly when it comes to Loki. I just hope he doesn't decide to start bugging us again." The witch raised an inquiring eyebrow. "So, what brings you to Magic 101?"

"So I came to you for two reasons. One. Can I continue magic class? I was taught a little of it while in Asgard but lost it when I was no longer in service. I found it fascinating and I gained new respect for all magic users in the world. The second reason is, since this is a new world formed by Xorn. Is the Dweller still sealed?"

"Always happy for one more, especially if I don't have to worry about you blowing yourself up," came the easy reply. Then Amanda sobered. "As for the Dweller... as far as I know, the seal's holding. I did some checking and the whole 'demons attacking Manhattan' thing did happen in this world, so as far as I know, that goes for sealing the Dweller away."

"No blowing myself up, I promise." Tandy let out a sigh of relief. "That is reassuring. I stopped having the nightmares about a year into my stay in Asgard. I still have the memories but I think the worst is passed. I am glad to know that Spite is dead and D'spayre and her master are still stuck in some place somewhere." At least she knew where they were. "Are there still other threats?"

"There's always threats," Amanda replied, sitting up on her table and swinging her legs slightly. "But nothing specific at the moment, if that's what you mean. We've got some kind of mystery demon cult we're looking into for Jennie, but nothing much else on the radar. M-Day sort of took the steam out of things. Sort of the eye of the storm, I suppose." She tilted her head at Tandy. "So how many years were you in Asgard? And what did you get up to?"

Tandy made a slight face at the mention of a demon cult, "I really hate demons." She had heard about M-Day that had happened, the event that had happened on New Years. "Let's hope that there will never be another M-Day." She knocked on Amanda's desk. "Four years in Asgard. The first couple of months were the hardest but it got easier. I was serving as a Thrall to Baldr, he taught me how to fight with swords, use some of the Asgardian Magic, which I can't do anymore, and taught me some of the languages there. I am going to miss it. It was supposed to be a life-long service."

"Sorry you came back?" asked Amanda, watching the other woman's face.

"No. I mean it is nice, don't have to pay bills and no traffic but I think I am needed here." She thought of Adrienne and nodded. "I had to promise her that I would be back for dinner. I think she is afraid I might disappear again."

"She took it hard." That was putting it mildly. "Actually, I was worried about her. I don't think she's really lost anyone she cares about before, and as far as we all knew, you and the others were flattened under the building when it went down."

"We almost were." Tandy thought back to that day before shaking away those thoughts. "I hope not to put her through that again. Or anyone." She leaned against one of the desks. "So how much did I miss in your class?"

"Not as much as you'd expect." Amanda seemed relieved by the change in tone, too. "But from where we were last time you were in class..."
