Bobby brings Kane his pizza and wisdom is passed along. Sorta.

Pizza apps. Kane couldn't describe how much he loved pizza apps. He didn't need to speak to anyone, didn't need to move - just order his dinner (and breakfast and lunch) and wait for whatever poor person to answer the door to bring it to him. He was flipping through the saved NHL games when the doorbell rang, and he waited for his large pepperoni, mushroom, and bacon to arrive.

Bobby had been wandering through the hall when the doorbell sounded off, so he had the honour of bringing the pizza to its owner. He headed for the rec room and nodded his head upward at Kane when he found him there. "Pizza's here, dude. Anything good?" As forward as Bobby often was at times, even he wouldn't open someone else's pizza to see what was on it, it smelled good however. Then he noticed the television and he pointed at the screen. "The Islanders / Capitals game, that's the one you want, totally. Go Isles!"

Kane nodded. "Canadian. One of the best." He shuffled up from his sprawl so the young man could have a seat. He opened the box and offered it to him. "Take a piece or two." He flipped to the Caps game, enjoying the fact that he had no particular favourite there.

"Cool, thanks man." He gladly took a slice, using his powers to cool it ever so slightly before taking a huge bite out of it. Bobby plopped himself down on the couch next to Kane, settling in while he ate his slice. "Great series so far, Isles in six, mark my words." Of course he had them winning the Cup in his mind, as he was more than a little biased.

"Not going to happen. Weak second and third line on defense." Kane cracked a beer, "Here, you want... wait, how old are you?"

"Tavares though, he's the man!" He blinked when Kane mentioned the beer. "Oh, uh, I'm twenty." Bobby quickly replied, holding out a hand expectantly. "No, wait, what's the legal drinking age again? I'm that."

"You're lying to me, Drake. And while I normally support under-aged drinking, I don't have a badge to hide behind these days." He said and passed the pizza box back. "Here, eat more pizza. It will make you vigorous for the young ladies. Or guys. It's way to hard to keep up with this crew."

Grumbling, he took the proffered pizza box and took out a slice for himself. "Wait, pizza is one of those afro-thingys? For serious?" Bobby hadn't realized that, and he shrugged as he tore off a bite from his slice. "Like oysters and shit? I-" He frowned and looked closer at his slice to see whether there were actually oysters on it or something.

"In my experience, if you buy someone a pizza, they tend to look at you a lot more favourably."

"Huh, really?" Not that he had a lot of money to buy pizza for potential suitors, but it sounded like valuable advice to hold onto just the same perhaps. "Does it, uh, matter what kind of pizza, or..."

"You're overthinking it, kid. Pizza. Let them choose the toppings. Don't mention if they pick something you don't like. Just nudge it off the slice when they aren't paying attention."

"But what if they like anchovies? Or pineapple? Ugh, man, I dunno. Some of that shit seeps into the dough." Bobby was somewhat of a picky eater, it was true, and also a habitual misser of points it would seem. "I'd just go half and half, let them pick what they want. Yeah, that makes sense. I think."

"At some point you will learn that some things are worth eating the anchovies for. Trust me on this."

Bobby wrinkled his nose and thought for a second before replying. "Yeah, well. Maybe some day, yeah. Just not today. Today I'd settle for, oh, a beer or something."

Kane handed over the bowl of cheesies. "Keep dreamin', kid."
