Tandy comes to visit Namor on behalf of Adrienne and Amanda. A shockingly little amount of translation is needed.

Tandy was asked by Amanda to see about the visitor that was down in the Medical Bay. She wasn't sure what to expect only that the staff used by Dweller and his children was somehow connected to the Trident found with the man. Somehow, she didn't think this was Poseidon or King Triton from The Little Mermaid that she was about to meet.

Walking into the Medbay and was glad she wasn't stopped. She wanted to help but it also meant digging into Dweller's memories. She shivered inwardly as she approached the man, "Hello." She said in English, unaware that he might not understand her.

His eyes were flat. The stranger stared at her intently, but it was the kind of bored focus one had who was simply tired of dealing with new faces. He sat, shirtless and impassive, with his back against the wall and an expression to match the weariness of his eyes.

The only acknowledgement the man deigned to bestow upon Tandy was the minuscule raising of both eyebrows as if to say "well, continue."

"I heard there is something connected to Trident and the Staff. Who exactly are you? What is your name?" Tandy tilted her head.

His stare did not waver, but he carefully put a finger to lips and made a "do not understand gesture" before stating, in something that was definitely not English, "Stop wasting my time."

"I'm not wasting your time. Trying to understand." She said automatically as Dweller's memories started to surface more so in that moment.

Namor's expression shifted noticeably at her statement, and he almost leaned forward in anticipation. "What is this? You speak a civilized tongue?"

"Civilized tongue..." She paused when she realized she was speaking not in English. "It is a long story. We want to know what your name is."

"You are in no position to make demands." He straightened, sitting tall, and it did not seem to matter that he was in no position to make demands either. Casual boredom sluffed off, he was projecting the kind of haughty arrogance that had died with absolute monarchy. "I commend you speak the language of the Empire, Diplomat, but I will not give information freely unless promises are made."

"I didn't mean to make it sound like a demand. I was asking." Empire? Diplomat? This guy was hurting her already hurting brain. "I am not sure I am in a position to make promises but I can try. But there is no Empire here. There hasn't been an Empire in a long time."

"Then you are wasting my time. I demand to speak to your superior." His tone indicated that wasting his time was not something one did when they valued their health.

"I am afraid I am the only one that can understand you." She grabbed a chair and sat down. "I came here because I was asked. Your trident that they found with you and the Staff that I had the unfortunate honor of coming across are some how linked. Naturally my 'superiors' want to know more about you."

His reply held little of the haughtiness of his previous statements: "What staff?"

Yet he recovered quickly, steamrolling over any of Tandy's immediate responses with a candor like he was discussing the weather. "The fact that your kingdom has stolen my right and heritage from me will be addressed with blood unless The Trident of Neptune is delivered into my hands within the hour."

"Eh..." Tandy hesitated a bit. "Magical staff that does pretty bad things. I know it can be used to summon demons and dispel demons."

She rubbed her face, this guy. "First, you aren't really in a position to threaten me. Two, we didn't steal your right and heritage. You were found cryo-frozen in Alaska. It is currently safe. Third, what era do you live in? The year is 2015 and there are very few kingdoms left in the world, America isn't one of them."

His nostrils flared as he leaned forward, his voice practically a growl. "You speak of demons too casually, but that explains the slur in your accent quite nicely." The man waved this off, continuing, "Something for nothing is a poor bargaining technique. If I have information you want, I expect assurances."

A no-nonsense voice boomed from the medlab hallway: "You shut up or I'm going to sit on you. I do not care I have no idea what you are saying." There was a brief flash of purple as Clarice appeared, gave a reprimanding gesture toward Namor, and then left.

Tandy paused as Clarice made an appearance which caused her to smile a bit. "I have had a fair share of demons in my life, not something I am proud off. But it is allowing me to speak with you." She sighed and looked at him for a long moment. "Maybe I came off too harsh. My name is Tandy Bowen. You are currently in New York in North America. The year is 2015 and the month is May."

The man stared at her blankly. "None of those words mean anything."

Tandy looked at the man, wondering if he was brain damaged from being cryo-sleep for so long. Maybe she needed a different approach. "What exactly don't you understand?"

"May. Two-thow-sand fif-teen. New York. That is all nonsense. If you have a point to make, make it."

"That is the Month, Year and Place you are currently at. You do know what a month, year and place is, right?" Tandy asked. "I am trying to understand who you are and where you are from." Tan started to wonder if she could just dig through Dweller's memories to find the answer she was looking for.

"Oh, you mean —" but suddenly Namor clutched his chest as if he was in pain. His eyes went wide and darted searchingly around the room before the man's body went limp against the wall. He reached out to Tandy melodramatically, but could only mumble "Nishentop Adlantis. Ag, kelobtem..." before the need to breathe overtook his ability to speak in the current situation.

Tandy was not equipped for this kind of situation. She stood up and went to his side. "Hey. Dude. Are you alright?"

Only one word was intelligible between the rest of his gibberish and gasping breaths: "Trident."

She sighed, "Sorry. You can't have it." Tandy took a step back from him. "Not until you answer my questions. But since you are no longer feeling well, I'll grab a doctor for you."

For the briefest moment the offered hand closed into a fist, but then Namor put it down as if any effort was just simply too much due to this relapse. He laid that way for about a minute — until he was sure that Tandy was not coming back — before he sat back up, completely fine, and rolled his eyes so hard it was good the man had braced himself against the wall due to the force of it.
