Garrison and Jessica stake out the suspect leak and confirm he's the one.

It wasn’t technically a stake-out. As Kane had explained, a real stake-out involved a mid-sized sedan and a bag of pistachios. This was officially ‘a date’; a bearded guy and his girlfriend out at a local diner in the end both, trying to decide between chili fries or sliders to share, completely ignoring the young man that slid into the booth a couple of seats away and ordered a coffee.

Kane looked at his phone, having reversed the camera so while he looked like he was texting, he had a call shot of the man. “Alright, chili fries. But I get to choose the movie.” He agreed, just loud enough to drift to an eavesdropper.

“Anyone coming through the door?” This was low enough to only be heard by Jones across the table.

"Thanks, babe, you really know how to please a gal." Jessica answered, placing her hand flirtatiously over Kane's. Anything to make it convincing. She flicked her hair, casually taking the time to glance at the door. "Look's we got someone. They look perfectly normal, but they're headed toward our guy." She answered back, making sure to match Kane's tone.

"Yeah, yeah. After the chili fries, I'm the one that gets to sit next to you while you fart your way through the movie." Kane put the phone down for a second, using the window's reflection to look. "I think that guy works at the Bugle."

"Aw, it's just my way of testing your love." She teased again an easy smile coming to her face as she looked over to the man. "Hmmm...you're right. I took a look at the Bugle's employee records. He does look familiar. Let's see if our guy spills the beans." She added, her voice much softer and more serious.

Kane thumbed his phone. "It's Ned Leeds. Works with Urich. So it's either the mother of all coincidences or we chose right." They both turned to talk louder to the waitress, Jessica keeping an eye on the booth as Kane ordered/ The bustle covered a lot of direct looks, before the loss of their distraction forced them back to banal asides.

"He made any kind of movement?"

Jessica brushed a lock of her hair away from her face.

"Their faces changed. Must be getting down to business. Looks like our guy's handing something over. A folder, maybe? Looks innocent enough from the outside, like they're having a little business chat. You and I know exactly what business I mean." She answered.

"Interesting. The Bugle won't pay cash. It will be a check made out to cash." As he spoke, Leeds handed over a folded check, which swiftly disappeared.

"That looks like enough evidence to me. He's definitely the one passing off the info. What's our next move?" Jessica asked.

"With him identified, we set the trap. If he's dumb enough to take the bait, we know he's a traitor. If not, that should at least scare him from leaking any further information to the Bugle." Kane paused at the plate of chili fries was put down between them. "Also, I am not sitting next to you in the surveillance van."

"Alright, I'll follow your lead. And I'll have you know I'm a lady." Jessica offered with a grin as she took a few of the fries into her mouth.
