Angel has a plan. Wade has the checkbook to help her with it.

Angelica Jones was a woman on a mission.

She wound her way through the halls of the mansion, determined, a magazine clutched in her hand, as she hopped down the stairs two at a time. She had already checked Wade's suite and he wasn't there, so of course the next stop was the kitchen.

And there he was.

She walked right up to him, shoulders squared as she said, "I wanna start a mutant-friendly newspaper."

Wade paused, a giant burrito balanced carefully on seven of his fingertips, and looked from the tortilla-wrapped deliciousness in front of his face to his Benevolent Overlord in Training and back again. Then his eyes slid from the burrito to Angel again and managed to stick. "This is a good plan and you should feel good," he offered as sincerely as possible.

"It is a good plan," Angel agreed. "And I do feel good. But I need help with it, is the thing."

Shoving one end of his burrito into his mouth before Angel could finish saying 'is the thing,' Wade chewed for a moment before speaking around the food. "'m listenin'."

Angel grinned. "Okay, so, here's the thing. I know all the newspaper stuff. Well, I know what I learned from one semester of interning, but it's enough and what I don't know I can ask my dad for help on. But newspapers, they cost a lot of money to make. I would need to figure out how to bring them myself and get all the equipment and I'd need to find a place to work outside the mansion because I don't really want to bring that on the mansion in case I end up getting caught. Which I won't, I'm better than that, but there's enough trouble around here without me doing something technically illegal, you know?"

"Printin' a paper's not illegal," Wade pointed out. He considered his burrito. He could balance it on four fingers and a thumb, which is exactly what he did to free up one hand to reach for his wallet. "Mkay," he said, finally swallowing the mouthful of spicy deliciousness. He flopped his wallet on the counter and opened it, thumbing through several different credit card and alias options before stopping on G. B. Smythe-Janson's black Am. Ex.

Pushing that out of its little pocket, Wade slid it across the counter to Angel. "Probably easiest to just buy a place in, I don't know, Red Hook or something and ask Skittles to help you 'port equipment in. I mean, other people to do the lifting, but you get what I mean. If you're going for stealth." With that, he flipped his wallet closed again and took another bite of his burrito.

"Okay not illegal but still not something I want coming back on the mansion," Angel agreed, grinning as Wade pushed the credit card toward her. "You're the best. The actual, actual best." She picked it up very carefully, well aware that she held more money in her hands in that moment than she would ever get in her entire life. "Anything I can do in return? Besides let you eat your burrito in peace?"

Wade contemplated that for a moment, then shrugged. "Mutant-friendly food options section," he said, grinning.

"Done," Angel said at once. It was fun and practical and she loved it. "Would some version of you like to be a contributor? No past journalistic experience required."

"Me and Jubes and Kyle could probably rock that," Wade said. "So sure, some version of me. Maybe food truck exclusives."

"Awesome," Angel said happily, bouncing up. "I'll keep you updated on when things are getting rolling. Pleasure doing business with you Mr..." She looked down at the card. "Smythe-Janson."

It suddenly occurred to Wade that that name was attached to other things, too, so he said, "Oh, hang on a sec." Opening his wallet again, he riffled through it until he found a different sort of identification and handed that over, too. "Just write your name on it and you can use your driver's license, if you need to. You're Bart's personal shopper, if you have to go anywhere to buy anything in public. But I suggest buying online and having it shipped to a third party location. From there, you can get Skittles' help."

"Yes sir," Angel said with a salute. "I definitely don't want to show my face too much so it'll be online buying as much as I can, honestly. Should be a good time."

"Maybe ask Doug to do some of his fancy electronics stuff," Wade said, smiling again.

"He's next on my list," Angel said with a nod. "It's a very extensive list."

"Oh, and the zipcode and address and stuff for Bart's on the back of the card," Wade said. Giving money to people was a very complicated business these days. He might never get to finish his burrito.

"How about this," Angel suggested reasonably. "I'll put my list on hold until you finish your burrito, and then you can email me everything I need to know about the card and using it. I'm patient."

Wade laughed. "Awesome. I'm totally down for that."

Angel grinned back, pocketing the goodies Wade had given her. "Perfect. I'll talk to you soon then. Enjoy the burrito."
