The fight continues, as Scott, Sooraya and Angel take on Rave-abusing opponents.
Sooraya dove past Angel. She was near nowhere as fast as the gangster in the air was, but maybe she could... There. Seeing him coming at Angel again, she dove just below his flight path and when he was so close, she reared up in the path in an attempt to blind him.
But instead of rearing up, Oscar flew faster while fiddling with something at his neck. Soon enough, the man pulled up a bandana to prove that Los Neo had prepared since their last encounter.
Far more nimble and far too quick compared to yesterday, Oscar darted around Angel at a frightening speed aided by the boost from Rave; effectively corralling her.
Manuel, having lost his gun and gotten some serious burns on his hand from Angel's fireball, had gone back to basics. With a rock in each hand, he focused his toxins on the stone, coating each with the deadly substance. ~"My turn, puta,~" he mumbled to himself, before hurling the rocks, one after the other, directly at Angel where she was distracted by Oscar.
A series of optical blasts lanced out between Manuel and Angel pulverizing the rocks just after they had left Manuel's hands. "That's not very nice," Scott warned, shaking his finger at the mutant, "the next rock's breaking in your hands."
Angel whipped around just in time to see the rocks explode behind her. "Jesus Christ," she hissed, scowling. So much for a bunch of losers. Did they all have evil-er twins or something? She turned back to the one she was fighting, calling, "Dust, get out of range!" as a fireball simmered to life in her hands.
Manuel snarled at the visored American, his frustration reflected in the cloud of toxic gas leaking from his pores. At this stage, he was going to end up poisoning half of town.
Regrouping some of the water that Scott had blasted away, Javier used his hydrokinesis to navigate a large column of water through some of Manuel's toxic clouds. He then shifted his focus, aiming this new, poisoned pillar of water toward Angel and her flames, which seemed like a natural target.
Seeing the cylinder of toxic water barreling towards one of his teammates, Scott took a hasty shot at the water, blasting through it. But without the right angle, his efforts barely slowed the oncoming stream. "Firestar, heads up. You've got incoming."
Angel jerked around to see the water streaming at her and yelped, quickly putting up a shield. It didn't stop the stream, but as soon as the water was within range of the heat waves, it turned to steam that drifted harmlessly into the air. "Man, your stinky friend is the one who needs a shower not me."
Seeing Javier focused on the stream of water aimed at her best friend, Sooraya took a chance, lashing out with several stinging whips of sand. They shredded his clothes, painfully stinging the skin as she attempted to drive him towards Cyclops.
Grunting as his clothing violently tore off of him in strips, Javier staggered backward and then fell to one knee, rolling with the momentum in an effort to get away from whatever the hell had just blasted him. "~What the devil?!~" His concentration broken, the water dissipated and splashed to the ground, still poisoned and somewhat dangerous but not nearly as much as it had been.
Scott wasn't taking any chances with this. Before Javier could gather himself to gather the water again, a barrage of optical blasts struck him, each blow spinning the gang member around in a relentless attack. Scott wasn't about to risk his turning the toxic water on a teammate. It was admittedly a good strategy, and one which Scott hadn't foreseen, but one which made him the most dangerous man in the group right now.
Manuel's hit of Rave, cut short when Scott had destroyed his inhaler and burned through at an accelerated rate due to the fight, was running out. The toxic cloud began to dissipate around him, and he glanced wildly around for his fellows. "~Oscar, man, gimme another hit, I'm running out!~" he demanded of his flying compadre.
"~This is coming out of your pocket,~" Oscar spat, slowing, as he readjusted his flight pattern for support instead of evasion, freeing up Angel in the process. His progress for quickly halted, however, as any further conversation between the two was cut short by a crimson optic blast.
Oscar reared backwards, hissing, in retreat as the blast caught Manuel in the side. It sent the gang member flying along the floor to wind up lying on the middle of the street, unconscious, as the X-man turned his attention to Oscar, a barrage of force bolts aimed at knocking him out of the sky.
Sooraya took the air again, joining in on the effort to knock Oscar out of the sky by forming a large cloud of stinging particles that surrounded him and hindering his sight.
Angel finished off by shooting off a stream of fire straight through the sky to slow him down at the very least and completely stop him at the most.
All of this was officially too much and Oscar, simultaneously sandblasted, fried, and force-blasted, dropped from the sky like a clay pigeon onto one of the nearby shanty rooftops with a clang.
Scott's head whipped around checking for any more threats to his team before he relaxed, "Okay, good job girls. Let's secure the gang and head inside, see what they didn't want us to see."
"Hang on," Angel said, tapping her communicator. "Cecilia, you there? Come in. It's all over."
