Lorna and Alex || Date Night (Backdated)
Nov. 20th, 2015 08:53 pmLorna and Alex have their "First" date. And are cute, lovable dorks. Backdated to November 20, 2015.
"Thank you." Lorna said as she was helped onto the carriage and took a seat. "This is the complete tourist look, right? Having a date in New York while sitting in a carriage being pulled by a real horse?"
"It's great," Alex said happily, flopping down next to her and wrapping an arm around her shoulders, hugging her tight.
"Hmm...warmth." Lorna snuggled closely. "This is something we could never do in California. I mean we could but it wouldn't be the same. I am impressed."
"Too bad there isn't snow on the ground," Alex pointed out. "Then it would just be perfect."
"I think there is a teen at the mansion that can make it snow." Lorna smirked. "But I am looking for good lodges for skiing this winter. I can't wait."
"I think we'll just wait for the real thing," Alex said with a smirk. "Pretty sure there are people at the mansion who would hate us if we turned it into a winter wonderland."
"Or love us." Lorna said in her most enthusiastic voice. "But I think if there is snow right now, I would be a frozen icicle by the end of the ride. A Lorcile."
"Lorcile," Alex repeated, wrapping his arm a bit tighter around her. "Lorcile, huh? That rolls off the tongue pretty nice. That might be your new name."
"I am California grown. I don't thrive well in low temperatures. And that is not a good name. Horrible name actual. I regret saying it."
"I think it's a wonderful name." Alex grinned. "I heretofore dub you Lorcile."
Lorna poked Alex in the side. "I don't need any more nicknames. I got plenty, Alexicle."
"That sounds like some type of poison," Alex said with a snort. Doesn't roll off the tongue nearly as well."
"I would say you are a healthy dose of not poison. Good for the health, body, and soul." She smiled up at him.
"Definitely not a poison," he agreed, looking down at her. God he really did love her so much. The last few months had been hard, but the fact that he could still readily admit he loved her was, he thought, a good sign. He leaned in to kiss her lightly.
Lorna wasn't expecting a kiss but she wasn't about to stop him from giving her one. She was glad that their relationship was still improving, even with the shit storm that had happened over the summer. Lorna never meant to hurt him or anyone, her own family problems just were not like normal families. "That was nice."
"Just nice?" Alex teased, putting on a mock pout. "Man, I must be rusty. Better work on that."
"I think another one might be needed. For practice sake."
"They do say practice makes perfect," Alex agreed as he kissed her again.
Lorna smiled before her lips were preoccupied. "Better." She whispered after she broke away.
