Jessica delivered a crushing blow to the punching bag in front of her. She was glad that the the Prof's deep pockets allowed for specialized equipment for one of her caliber. Nothing made her feel quite as good as working up a sweat. She thrust her fist forward once more, striking the bag with enough force to shatter stone. Sweat dripped down her brow and she quickly wiped it away with a forearm. She jogged over to the nearby bench and quickly wiped away the rest of the sweat with a towel. Jessica reached up to casually adjust her ponytail, all while admiring the way her brand new violet colored workout top made her look. She flexed and was pleased to see that she was beginning to build a bit of muscle. Her narcissism was interrupted, however, as the sound of a person entering the gym caught her ear. She turned around to see a young man with dark hair enter the room. He was vaguely familiar, but she thought it'd be best to introduce herself anyway. She pushed off from the ground and casually floated over toward him.
"Hey there. Have we met before? The name's Jessica Jones. Pardon the sweat, I wasn't expecting any visitors today." She stated with a grin as she extended her hand toward the young man.

Reed accepted the proferred hand. "Reed Richards." this wasn't the time or place to label himself as a doctor. "We met briefly this morning as Sue was giving me a tour. I have to say, I'm very impressed with what I just witnessed. super strength is a given. Is there any aspect of invulnerability as well? stamina regeneration? Or do you simply metabolize quicker, leading to significantly higher than average physical ability?"

"You're a brain, just like Sue huh? That's awesome. And yeah, I'm unbreakable, dude. No enhanced stamina, though. That's kinda part of what I'm training for. I also fly." She answered with a smile. "So what about you, Reed? I figure that you're here, so you've got to have something special a brewin." She added.

She could fly too? Appearances were definitely deceiving. "cellular plasticity," he answered, not bothering to explain it. "It's always been more of a quirk than an advantage however." Reed gave a nod to the gym equipment. "When I saw you earlier, it looked like a powers class. Are you a teacher?"

"So you stretch? Is that right?" She asked. "And yeah, I guess you could say that." She continued with a smile. "The group is actually called Generation X. It's mostly populated by the teenagers around here, but it's really for anyone who needs to brush up on their powers training. We DO teach people how to fight, but only in self defense. The group is really to help them explore their powers. I had a great mentor myself, so I thought it'd be cool if I could do it for others." She finished.

Reed had never really been in his same age group for well, anything, in his life. This wouldn't be the first time he clearly didn't belong.
"Self-defense," he repeated with a nod. "that's what I need to learn. Fighting. Exercising. I have ignored my body, which is relatively easy when you can control its very structure. I realize now that that was an oversight." He looked around the room. "Tell me more about this Generation X."

"Oh yeah, we do a ton of that kinda stuff." Jessica replied. "We have this nifty little room down in the basement that'll blow your clearly large brain, believe me. As for Generation X, we do a lot of different stuff. We're partnered with a local charter school so our students can receive an education. Obviously you're beyond that, but maybe you could help the students if they ask you. We do self defense training including hand to hand combat, CPR, and first aid but we also have sessions on diplomacy, covert ops, infiltration, and even sorcery. There are three full time mentors, myself included, but we have other mutants with experience come around every now and then to help the students. A lot of powers, like mine, are pretty common, so it makes sense to pair a student up with someone with similar powers. I gotta say, though, your power is pretty unique. I don't think I know anyone who's quite like you. That doesn't mean we can't train you or help you, it just means it'll be a little more work, and that's okay with me." She explained with a smile.

This woman seemed friendly. And sincere. She hadn't done the usual 'sizing him up' that made him feel like a 100 lb weakling. Maybe this could work.

He smiled back. "Thanks. How do we get started?"

"I'll let the guys upstairs know. I'll also give you my contact information, though you could probably always reach me through Sue." She stated with a little smile.
