Alex has a very important question for Lorna.

The rest of the group was back at the campsite they'd set up, and Alex was sure Lorna was confused about being dragged off for a "moonlight stroll" as Alex had called it when he'd taken her hand and tugged her down the path just a bit.

Now he was looking up at the sky and grinning, a bit stupidly. "I never get tired of this.">

"The camping or the stars?" She asked fixing her head lamp so it was pointed down. "I do like the quietness. If I could I would build a cabin in the woods and then never leave.">

"Both?" Alex grinned, squeezing Lorna's hand. "It's just...it's beautiful out here. God can you imagine living here though? I suppose I'd miss the beach though. Not exactly any waves out here."

"Nothing like a quick car ride can't handle." She looked up. "I bet if I flew a couple hundred feet I can see the ocean." She laughed. "But it is too cold.">

"We are close enough to Maine I suppose," Alex said thoughtfully, tapping his chin with his free hand. "Idk how the surfing is there though."

"Think of all the seafood. Hell, I would go back to Maine for a weekend and eat all their lobster. There is this thing called the interweb and it holds a vast amount of information where you can find all the hot spots for surfing." Lorna teased.

"We should come back some time, ya know I've never had lobster? Damn shame that is." Alex smirked. "The interweb, huh? Sounds dangerous. I don't think I trust it."

Only the bravest of the brave go there." Lorna said. "So do we have a destination in mind or just a stroll in the woods?"

"Just a stroll." Alex looked up at the stars again, grinning a bit stupidly. "Ya know...it's been a year."

Lorna looked at his confused but the nodded, "Not exactly how I picked you meet the dad. Or ever." She whispered the last bit. "But thank you. For forgiving me. I have the worlds fucked up family."

"Yeah let's maybe not do holidays with him or anything. Be a bit of a damper on the spirit." He pulled Lorna to a stop, tugging her close for a kiss, hands cupping her face.

"We've never done Thanksgiving and we are Jewish. So-" Lor didn't finish the sentence as she melted into a kiss. Alex did have his ways of taking her breath away.

Alex smiled into the kiss, pulling away. "So..." He stepped back, slipping his hand into his pocket. "I think it's about time - well past time actually - to give you this back." Out came his hand with her engagement ring, and he dropped to one knee. "Lorna Dane, will you marry me?"

Lorna looked at his confused as he stepped back but her heart felt like it was caught in hee throat when he got down on one knee. It was almost like this was the first time he was asking kind of feeling. She nodded, "I would be honored Alex Summers to be your wife."

There had been....basically no doubt that she would say yes. But still Alex's heart swelled, and he grinned as he hopped up at once, grabbing Lorna and spinning her around with a triumphant yell. "Awesome!"

"Funny. You said the same thing the first time, nerd." She laugh as she spun. "Put the ring on before you drop it and it is forever lost." Lorna teased.

"I mean it's pretty awesome you want to be my wife." Alex laugh as he finally put Lorna down and took her hand, sliding the ring onto her finger. "Besides, you could find it if I dropped it, right?"

"Was there any doubt?" She felt the cold metal around her finger. "Perhaps." She wrapped her arms around his neck, "How I love to see you squirm."

"So mean," Alex lamented with a mock sigh, hands coming to a rest on her waist. "Why do I want to marry you again?"

"Because you love me." She snuggled up against him. "And I love you."

"I do love you, it's true." He pressed a kiss against the top of her head, grinning a bit. "So when should we tell Scott he's getting a sister?"

Lorna looked back over at the campsite. "No time like the present? I mean if he decides to murder me, at least I will die knowing I am happy."

Alex laughed, taking Lorna's hand. "He's not gonna murder you. He might just pout a little for the rest of the trip, NBD right?"

"Pouting I can do." She smirked. "I like to live until I have at least 3 children."

"I'm sure Scott would let you live for that." Alex grinned as he pulled Lorna back toward the campsite. It was time to deliver some good news.
