Stephen and Clea test out a tarot deck and revelations are had.

Clea was laying on the couch in the Common area as her blue eyes watched Steve from across the room. In her hands was a deck of old tarot cards that she had brought with her from England. "Should I read your future Steve?"

"You're taking tarot classes now to, ontop of everything else?" Stephen queried with a smile as he glanced at the cards in Clea's hand, "Ok, I'll bite, what does the universe have in store for me?"

"My mum sent them to me recently." She smirked before rolling over to the ground and started to shuffle. She spread out the cards on the table. "Pick a card. But don't pick any card, let the card call to you."

"You know, when my mum sends me care packages she normally does the tea and chocolate thing, not weird old cards," he teased gently letting his hand slide over the cards before pulling one out and flipping it over.

"When your mum is a museum curator weird things come with the territory. And I have plenty of tea and chocolates." Clea looked at his card. "Strength. Interesting." She pulled out her tarot cheatbook and began to read silently with the occasional nod and "Oh, really?"

"See, now that's not fair," Stephen pointed out, "you can't just say things like 'oh interesting, or 'oh really' and just leave me hanging. That is the worst for of teasing...well one of hte worst forms of teasing anyway."

Clea cleared her throat, "The Strength Tarot card represents strength, determination, and power in a manner similar to the Chariot. However, the differences between the two Tarot cards are obvious. Where the Chariot represents outer strength and will, the Strength card represents inner strength and the power of the human spirit to overcome any obstacle. The meaning of the Strength Tarot card is about knowing that you can endure life’s obstacles by drawing upon your inner strength and confidence. You have great stamina and persistence, tempered by an underlying patience and inner calm. You are focused on what you need to do, and you go about it in a way that demonstrates great composure and maturity." Looking up at him from her book, "And it keeps going. And if I wanted to tease you I would." She patted the spot next to her. "Come sit."

"I'm pretty sure those cards of yours are broken," Stephen observed Wryly as he collapsed onto the couch next to Clea, "I'm pretty sure that calm and patient are not two words that anyone would use to describe me. Impatient and overeager sure, mischievous or a menace I can understand, but mature? Are you sure you don't have the meaning of these cards reversed?"

Clea got up from the ground and took a seat on the couch. "I don't speak to the cards. And besides, you are the one that pulled it from the deck. The card called for you." She poked him in the side. "Not sure you are a menace though."

"Ahem, I'll have you know milady that I am not just a menace, but a scamp and a rapscallion. Before you decide to impugn my hard earned reputation there is just one thing you need to remember," the teen poked his friend gently in the ribs, "I know exactly how ticklish you are." he pointed out, a mischievous grin slipping onto his face as the poking fingers started an assault on Clea's sides.

"Right. You keep telling yourself that." She flinched as he poked her in the ribs. "No. You will not." It was too late as she started to laugh trying to get away. "Stop. Stop. Cata! Help me!"

"She could," Stephen noted winking at Cata as he continued tickling Clea, "Or she could join in..." Stephen shook his head and grinned at Clea, "Or you know, she could think we're both idiots and just ignore us completely."

"No. Stop. Don't make me use magic on you. I am not above using magic." Clea yelled as crawled away from him. Quickly standing up, she spit out her hair that was caught in her mouth. "Alright. Truce."

"Awww, but I had you on the ropes," Stephen teased, as he dropped back onto the couch and smiled, "I don't even get a prize, although, you know, you might be the most ticklish person I know."

"I am pretty sure there are plenty of ticklish people out there who won't turn you into a toad." As she moved to sit next to him and lean into him. "And what is this about a prize? Why do you get a prize?"

"You realize you've never turned anyone into a toad before," Stephen pointed out with a grin, "So I'd rather avoid being you're first guinea pig if I can avoid that," he noted holding his hands up, before slipping an arm around Clea's shoulder. "Well since I had you on the ropes there, you did resort to threats of magic, so it should be worth some kinda prize right?" he teased.

Clea eyed him, "What kind of prize? And it can't be tickling forever. Cause I will use magic."

"You know, you resort to using magic as a threat waaay to much right," Stephen pointed out with a smile as he turned to look at Clea, "Well there goes my plan," he teased, "I'll just have to think of something else. This isn't a closet but I know what the best prize would be."

"That is because I am way to good at it," She teased before leaning over. "I think so too." She pulled him down to her as she gave him a little kiss on the lips.
The teenager wanted to tease Clea about that statement, but his lips were suddenly busy and he decided, after due reflection of course, that this was more important as he tightened his arm around Clea's shoulder and kissed her back. "Much better than tickling," he noted when the two teens broke apart.

"Good. Then it is settled. No more tickling, just snogging." She said with a smirk on her face.

"Now that is what I call a good plan," Stephen agreed, at least for today, he allowed as he leaned over to kiss Clea again.

Clea gasp, "Did you just agree with me?" She wiggled her eyebrows before accepting his kiss before pulling away real quick. "Wait, what does this make us?"

"I make it a point to agree with you whenever you're right," Stephen explained sticking his tongue out at Clea, "Umm, I guess it makes us...well I mean I'd like it to make us..." he blushed slightly before sitting up straight, "What I mean to say, is what I'd like is...." He laughed and shook his head, "I didn't think that this would be so tough." he took a deep breath, "Clea, would you like to go out with me, I mean be my girlfriend?"

"Hey." She poked him in the side. Clea smile got bigger as he tried to get out his question to her. "Shall I consult the cards?" She leaned over and picked on up. "Oh interesting. It says, 'Yes. I would like that that very much.'"
Stephen gave the cards a long look, "You know, I always thought there was something special about those cards," he decided, unable to keep a big grin off his face, "I think you should definitely listen to them," he told Clea sagely leaning back against the couch and pulling her close to him again, "It lets us keep doing things like this," he told his girlfriend before kissing her again.

"Now you like the cards." She shook her head as she was pulled closed and then kissed. This time she didn't pull away as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

On a side note, I think Clea will take a liking to MA as well. It is the red hair for sure.
