Jean and Rogue have a drink at the Christmas Eve party at Harry's. Jean gives Rogue her X-Mas gift...a hot guy coloring book.

"Rockin' around the Christmas Tree" was playing from the jukebox as Jean walked in the door. Spotting Rogue as someone she knew, she waved. "Seems pretty lively," she said with a grin.

"Jean!" Rogue hopped off her chair next to Kane and ran to give her friend a hug. "You're off work! And in public! This deserves a drink!" ‎

Jean let out a big hearty laugh as she returned the hug fiercely. "I do leave the hospital sometimes!" she said, then smirked.

"Okay, this does deserve a drink! What do they have that's festive?"

Rogue shrugged. "I'm drinking beer since Kane's buying even if he doesn't know it." She giggled. "But I did see some candy cane looking things pass by. Want me to get us some?"

"You had me at candy cane," Jean said, smiling brightly as she wagged her eyebrows.

Grabbing Jean's hand, Rogue pulled her over to the bar where she proceeded to order the night's special. The drink smelled as minty as Rogue expected but it was the crushed candy cane on the rim that really made her happy. "A toast," she exclaimed, raising her glass. "To a year where we don't have so much blah, and get more yay! Oh! And maybe unicorns can be discovered."

Jean laughed, holding up her glass to clink against hers. "Hear hear."

Taking a sip, she blinked. "Oh!" she said, digging in her purse.

"I got you a present," she added, handing her a thinnish, wider box.

Rogue practically spit out her drink in excitement. Setting the martini on the counter, she clapped her hands. "Ohhh! How exciting! Yours is back at the mansion, but it's not very interesting because I suuuuuuck at buying presents." ‎

It took her less than a few seconds to open the box and when she did, she just about doubled over in laughter. "Oh. Mah. Gawd! A hot guy colouring book?" she pulled the 'Colour Me Swoon' book out and immediately started leafing through it. "Amazing!!! These guys are all almost as good looking as Namor -- wait, did I say that out loud?"

Jean grinned. "I knew you liked fine art," she said, completely deadpan, then shook her head, holding her hands up in acquiescence.

"And the man is pretty, even if he can be insufferable."

Rogue continued to flip through the book, nodding appreciatively at a picture of Channing Tatum. "True dat, sistah. We are surrounded by ridiculously good-looking people. It's our cross to bear."

Sighing conflictedly, Jean shook her head. "Tell me about it. It gets even more difficult when they're your patient," she said. She peered over her shoulder.

"Damn," she said, fanning herself.

"Ooooh?" Rogue's interest was piqued. Good gossip was hard to find. "A patient?? Tell me more, Dr. Grey. Let me live vicariously through you!"

Jean sucked in a breath. "Ah, I may have said too much already," she said with a mischievous grin.

"Doctor-patient privilege. But let's just say that...the gym gets put to good use."

Rogue laughed heartily. "Oh Jean, you crack me up. Just don't break a leg or something."‎

Jean laughed. "God, I hope not," she said, then paused.

"Wait, did you think I meant one specific person when I meant a patient?"

"Uh, yah!"‎

Jean laughed again. "Oh no. I meant...in general. All the general hotness," she said, absently tracing her finger around in a circle .

"Boooo." The first martini was gone, and Rogue gave an inadvertent burp. Putting her hand over her mouth she frowned. "I don't know if mixing this and beer was a good idea..."

‎ Jean squinted at the martini glass. "Entirely possible," she confirmed.

"Let's get some more!". Rogue motioned to the bartender. "For science."

Smirking, Jean finishing off her drink, then hiccuped. "For science!" she repeated.
