Clea and Stephen: Date Night
Jun. 12th, 2017 04:28 pmStephen and Clea standing in line to see Wonder Woman.
"I guess we weren't the only ones that thought about going to the movies on a week night." Clea stepped out of line momentarily to see just how far until they can get their tickets.
Stephen smiled at her, his hands slipping into the pockets of his jeans as he slouched backwards his eyes glancing at the back of the man in front of them, "Well at least we know we picked a popular one then right?" His voice was light and hopeful, it was supposed to be a good movie, at least that's what the reviews said, the question of the hour was if Clea agreed.
"Maybe we should skip school one day and just movie binge all day." Clea stepped back in line while turning towards Stephen. "No one needs to know."
Stephen arched an eyebrow at the comment, reaching out to snag Clea's hand as he chuckled, "Wait, this is you telling me that? Someone hold me, I think the world just ended."
"Might need a survival kit. I hear the end of the world is a little crazy." Clea smirked but proceeded to hug to Stephen's arm. "But I'll hold you regardless."
"A little crazy? So that's like a step down from life with you normally then isn't it?" Stephen retaliated, a smile touching his lips as he shifted his arm to draw Clea closer to him.
"I don't know if I should take that as you trying to flatter me or not." Clea looked away. "I suppose if it wasn't for another of my ideas we wouldn't be standing here but off to our normal summer camp once again with Cata probably the size of one of our cabins."
"It might be a little hard to hide her if she was," the boy admitted as he looked around at the town and pull Clea even closer so he could slip an arm around her waist, pulling her even closer to him so that he could plant a kiss on her forehead. "I'm glad you had that idea, we'd never have done anything, and I might not even have managed to find myself the best girlfriend ever."
"I still wonder if there are others like her." Clea looked back over at Steve as he placed the kiss on her forehead. "I do try my hardest. Funny how things work out the way they do." They met as children, turned out that both had powers, and ended up here. "Have you made a decision on where you want to go to college?"
"Nah, it's till a little early and I'm not even sure where I should go to college. I mean we're in the US, and it'd be easy to get into a college here, that's not something you can just pass up. So," he smiled and shrugged, "I have no earthly clue. How about you?"
"We are Juniors this fall. Pretty sure you should start at least thinking about it. I am not sure. Mum had been sending me emails with links about different schools both here in the US and back home."
Stephen felt his lips curl up into a smile as he glanced over at her, "Yeah, but your mum's awesome like that. Mine is a little busy right now, but then I'll get an email in a few months asking me which school I've chosen," He pressed his lips together and sighed, "Tonight, after the movie and dinner, do you wanna show me the emails she's sent? It might give me an idea or two."
"Speaking of awesome. Did you get her care package yet?" Clea asked. "Sure. Another excuse just to spend more time with you."
The boy bobbed his black head up and down, the smile on his face morphing into a wide grin. "Your mum is the best!" he declared happily. "That tea is a life saver and," he smirked at his girlfriend, "You bring those e-mail and I'll being the jaffa cakes."
"Weirdo." Clea stuck her tongue at him. "Oh the line is finally moving."
Stephen smirked at her, "Pot kettle back," he retorted as he pulled her forward, "and now onwards to Amazonian glory!"
Clea chuckled at him as they moved forward. "Weirdo."
