xp_logsTandy takes Julian to Bora Bora for his birthday and to get away from the City after recent events.
Tandy stepped out to the back porch to over look the Lagoon from their hotel room. For Julian's birthday, Tandy decided to give him the gift in the form of a vacation. So after pulling a few strings they headed to Bora Bora for a week. She sipped on her morning coffee and breathed in the fresh air. It was another beautiful day and Tandy was looking forward to swimming in the lagoon.
"There one of those for me?" Julian walked through the open doorway, and stood beside his girlfriend, looking out over the lagoon. Aside from the gloves he kept over his hands (especially around a literal ocean of salt water), he was wearing his swim trunks and the softest robe he'd ever found at a hotel, which was flapping in the ocean breeze. This was, by and far, one of the best birthday presents he'd ever received; looking over at Tandy, he was all the more grateful.
"It was right on the counter." Tandy gestured over her shoulder towards the coffee maker that was in their room. "This is nice. Not everyday you can walk right out of bed and into the ocean."
Julian turned around and spotted the coffee that he'd missed on his way out. After making sure that none of their neighbors were watching- which would have been impressive given the amount of distance between the stilted cabins- he reached out and floated it over to himself as he turned around and put an arm around Tandy's shoulders. They stood in silence for a moment, watching the waves crash against the reef that protected the lagoon. A school of brightly colored fish swam by the steps that led directly into the water. It was peaceful, something that had been in rare supply lately. "Thank you, Bow," he said, finally breaking the silence.
"You needed the break and what better way to relax then being away from New York." Tandy looked up at him with a smile. "Happy Birthday."
With a slight quirk of his lips, he sighed and leaned forward to kiss her- while doing so, Julian thought about giving her a little push into the water. Instead, he held her close whispered, "Best birthday."
"Good. I am glad you are enjoying it." She took a sip of her coffee, "And later we can try snorkling. I hear that is fun."
"What about sharks? Or Salt-Water-Crocodiles," Julian raised an eyebrow. He reached out with his free hand and took hold of Tandy's, Could be dangerous."
"Pretty sure we will be safe. The water is really clear." She nodded towards the water. "Plus, I am sure we have encounter far worse than shark-odiles."
Julian winced, "Why would you say that? Now we're going to end up fighting shark-odiles underwater. I mean...can we do that? Totally, I assume it's a walk in the park for someone who has fought giants, and trolls, and large, hairy norsemen." With a sigh, "Surfing will wait, snorkeling first. Do we call the desk to bring stuff over, or...?"
"Jules, you should know by now I have a weakness for bad horror movies. It is a thing. There is a place on the beach that will suit us up." She nuzzled up against him, "We don't have to go right this instant, we have the entire day."
He smirked and gave a little chuckle, "I like to get my Shark-odile fighting out of the way before lunch, but I suppose we could let them eat one or two tourists before we head over."
"And in the meantime we can go and get breakfast?" Tandy nodded at him.
"That, or I was thinking we could maybe head back to bed for a bit," Julian gave her hand a squeeze and a raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, you want to work up an appetite." Tandy smirked before pulling away from him, "I am cool with that."
With a chuckle, Julian set his mug down on the railing over the ocean, extending his now free hand to his girlfriend. Once Tandy placed her hand in his, Julian gave her a cocky smile, and wordlessly led her inside their bungalow.
