The Summers brothers catch up after the wedding. Waaaaaay backdated because life.

Alex smiled, watching Lorna dance with Sooraya. He had a stupid grin on his face and he didn't care. That was his damn wife. He was going to be happy.

"Penny for your thoughts?" His elder brother wove his way between the tables, unable to stop the smile spreading across his face as she grinned at Alex, "Or well you know," he held up the flutes in his hands, "Champagne for your thoughts maybe?"

"My favorite brother," Alex said with a grin, taking the flute and toasting Scott. "I'd say favorite sibling, but my sister is here somewhere waiting for a reason to hit me. Cheers."

Scott held up his glass, a smile on his face as he shook his head, "I've never had the joy of dealing with sisters before...but from the horror stories, completely understandable. It's nice that they managed to make it down for this, though I guess wild horses wouldn't have kept them away."

Alex laughed. "I wasn't sure they'd be able to come, you know? Since this place is all mutant stronghold and everything. Wasn't looking forward to telling them that, but the professor said it was fine, thankfully."

"Somehow I don't think that the professor would say no to you, not on your wedding day." Scott fell silent as he glanced across the room, at the laughing and dancing faces. "We all get so caught up in our fights, our struggles that we forget this is what it's all about." The man turned a smile on Alex, "sometimes you need a day like this to remind us this is what life's about...besides," the grin turned distinctly teasing, "how else am I going to find out all the embarrassing stories about you growing up.Your family was veeeery accommodating."

Alex groaned, rolling his eyes. "I'm sure they were. Some of their favorite stories are the ones where I do something stupid. They never let me live anything down."

Scott grinned, punching Alex lightly on the shoulder, "Family brother, they're there for you when you need it, but we have to have our fun somehow right?"

Alex laughed, shoving Scott back. "Here's to family, then."

The older Summer's sibling raised his glass in Alex's direction and grinned, "To family...why do I suddenly feel the urge to shave my head and start wearing wife beater vests?"

"Dude, no." Alex snorted. "You need to work hard, you got a girlfriend to keep." Still, he grinned, clinking his glass against Scott's.
