Clint's doing math things in the kitchen. Bobby arrives. Math and gaming collide.

Rubbing at his forehead, Clint tipped his head to the side and considered the next problem on the list he'd been working through. Sunday morning math problems. He'd holed up in the kitchen, a carafe of coffee at his elbow and the various sheets printed off from Gizmodo's "10 Hardest Logic Puzzles Ever Created." He'd skipped a few to get down to the Go problem.

Allegedly, it'd taken 1000 hours for a group of high level students to solve the thing, so he wasn't expecting to get finished any time soon. He eyed the pages in front of him, then considered buying a Go board for himself. Standing as he pulled his phone out, he opened up Amazon Smile to see what his options might be.

Bobby wasn't usually up very early on Sunday mornings. In fact, he was very rarely up Sunday mornings period, depending on how late his gaming sessions went on Saturday night. Last night's hadn't been too too bad, plus he was wicked hungry, so he decided to make a trip to the kitchen in his pajamas.

"Hey dude," he said, spying Clint poring over something at the table. "What's up?"

Glancing up from his phone, Clint cast a smile in Bobby's direction and said, "Not much. Been doing logic puzzles. Just came to this one involving Go, so I'm checking to see if I can get a board for myself. It'll be easier to see moves and stuff that way. Are you heading for the fridge?"

"Yes," Bobby said, then stopping. "Wait. No." He scratched his head and changed his course, opening a cupboard door and fishing out a box of cookies. Because healthy breakfasts were for old people, or something. Then he realized he needed some milk with those cookies, so he turned around and beelined for the fridge again. "Ok sure, yeah. You need something?" He tucked the box under one arm, squishing the cardboard slightly as he leaned in and took out a milk carton while looking over his shoulder expectantly at Clint.

"OJ," Clint said, suppressing a laugh after watching Bobby's back and forth. "Could you bring me the carton? You need any coffee?"

Hauling the OJ container out, Bobby chilled it slightly before handing it over to Clint, making it nice and extra chilled. "Here you go, and haha, dude. You do not want to see me hopped up on coffee." That would not result in a good outcome for anyone.

He looked over Clint's shoulder as he laid the carton down. "What'd you say about Pokemon Go again?" Bobby hadn't been playing much as of late but he could maybe help a fellow gamer out if he was looking for a particular Pokemon.

"Heh," Clint said, shaking his head even as he opened the orange juice. After giving it a shake he took a drink right from it -- there wasn't much left, anyway. "It's just called Go. Oldest board game in the world -- it's from China. Deceptively simple rules. Insanely complex when actually playing." He pulled up a board on his phone to show Bobby, then gestured toward the paper in front of him. "I was gonna just play against myself with this ridiculous one, but..." Glancing back over his shoulder, he raised his eyebrows. "You interested?"

"Oh," Bobby sighed. He knew much more about Pokemon Go, never having really heard of this version of Go before. Walking closer to Clint, he took a good look at his phone. "Huh. Ok, sure, I'll give it a go." He chuckled at the unintended pun as he pulled up a chair and sat down next to Clint.

"Ha," Clint said, snorting softly. He bought the Go board on his phone off Amazon Smile, then pulled the pieces of paper he'd printed out closer to him so he could show Bobby the basic setup. "It sounds relatively easy -- until you get to the point where you're playing it and it's suddenly a lot more complicated..." Pulling up a page of rules on his phone after tabbing away from Amazon Smile, he offered it to the younger man. "Read up on that while I find a black marker for you to use."

"Ok." He pulled his chair up closer to the table and started poring over the information on Clint's phone. What was another game to learn to a gamer, after all? Even if it was kinda math-y.
